  • AWESOME !!!! GREAT WORK, DO YOU HAVE MORE VIDS OF FIBERGLASSING?

  • I hate sand step fuckin much and I love painting alot hhhhhh lol nice work dudu

    RESPECT from me good luck

  • bumping hard. what was that song playing?

  • great work what are the measurements for the box?

  • how long it take to build a fiber class box like this one

  • what's the exact name of the black material?

  • what fiberglass, you dont use any fiberglass..

  • cok guzel gorunuyo bende kendım yaptırmayı dusunuyorum cok hoş

  • Great job man. Thumbs up for very clean work!!! check out more HOT!!! custom fiberglass panels on my channel

  • Is that just black paint sprayed inside the box????

  • BULK POLYESTER FLEECE AND RAGE GOLD RESINS AND FILLERS WORK WONDERS.

  • U didn't strengthen the inside add chopstrNd or more resin or kitty hair cuz that shits gonna flex and crack

  • hey you for got the fiberglass part

  • no tiene audio tu video...k mal

  • one thing i never see....somthing i do to my boxes....knowing that mdf breathes....cnc routers suck air thru mdf to hold down the wood being worked on.... coat the inside with resin....seals all gaps and seals the mdf.....air tight.

  • hey is there anyone who could tell me how to calculate the box volume for a fiberglass box and how to figure out how much port area you need

  • @dylanmeurs the port area goes depending of at howmany hz you want to tune it

just go to ..the12voltcom and they will tell you how good luck .

  • @dylanmeurs they say you could just fill it with water.

another way could be to get a big 5 gallon bucket and get a trashbag and put the trash bag in the fiberglass box and fill it with water from the bucket. at the end find out how much water you used from the bucket and there.

  • do you leave the wood in it after you fiberglass the box or what?

  • Hey man. Don't mean to waste your time if you already answered someone else with this question, but, did you not go in from the inside and reinforce that fleece with more fiberglass? I might not have caught that step. Thanks

  • love it plus at 3:37 looks like a nice rack! ha but very nice enclosure.

  • Lol reminds me of tits under going plastic surgery. but its sick

  • wat did you do to the wood on the side, did you paint it or something?

  • Why do you use fleece instead of fiberglass cloth?

  • @bshupejr Cheaper and stronger?

  • what kind of materia did you use to cover the fiberglass box

  • @newunborn fleece .... but you can use thick t shirt cloth as well

  • type modnationracerify to check out my cool new video that includes hurt u good o and jay jay

  • You make good videos hurt u good o.

  • not bad:X:X

  • great job but those w7s need much more space with a ported box! :o

  • What's the name of the song which was in this video????

  • that looks so good dude

  • what type of cloth did you cover the box with. Also what type of glue did you apply after? Thanks, very nice.

  • Do u sell these if so how much and great job by the way

  • hw much wuld it be to get one made?

  • ur amazing...could u teach me?

  • @sihkiddkasper no he cant, your not a special freind

  • MUY BUENO EL BRICO!!

  • Thanks alot great vid btw just a few questions to help everyone out:

What was the fabric you put over the box at 1:25?

What was that liquid you applied with the brush at 1:52?

What was that putty you applied around the nailed areas at 2:37?

Did you further sand the box after applying the putty?

Is Evercoat the name of the brand or the type of product at 2:48?

Was the first coat of paint a primer?

After scuffing what type of cleaning solution did you use?

  • @0S7VN0 The most common fabric used is fleece or cotton, like t-shirt fabric. Can get a cheap roll at sewing supply stores or even wal-mart. The liquid applied over the stretched fabric is resin, can be found at any autobody supply store or hardware store. The putty is fiberglass bondo, Sanding after each application of any putty filler or bondo for smoother surface. Evercoat is a brand name, any body filler/putty will work. Lot of sanding. Then primer then wax and grease remover before painting

  • @Kossean Thanks alot bro i feel like i came a long way since i posted that lol

  • @Kossean good info

  • how much did just the supplies for this cost?

  • No sound on the sound test :(

  • Nice work!

  • I HAVE A quastion

CAN YOU PUT LACK OVER NORMAL SPRAY PAINT???

I MEAN WILL IT LOOK GOOD?

  • @MRklica if ur prep is right you can.. I like to use regular clearcoat if im using spray paint (which isnt often) it also depends on how cheap ur gonna go on the spray paint. If its the $1 walmart paint id say no.. But if ur using rustoleum or something like that laquer is great.. also depends on what ur gonna paint.. most interior pieces will make paint shrivel up because they have a coating you have to scuff up and clean b4 you apply paint.. I hope this helps sorry if it s too long lol

  • @TheIncredibleMrOz

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH HEHEHE:D

  • man iv watched almost all of your fiberglass videos and it really helped me out...thanks a lot

  • didnt block from me i can hear it

  • Someone please tell me how to calculate the volume for custom shaped sub enclosures! I've just been doing boxes as a hobby but now I have people asking me to do custom REALLY weird shaped boxes and trying to tell them which sub would work best in the box volume created. If that makes sense lol. Would be great if there was a device that could figure it out somehow =(

  • @jonwhunt

Probably not what you're after, as it wouldn't be the quickest way, but you could get a carbage or other flexible bag, fill it with the appropriate amount of foam beans (from bean bags) and then build the enclosure around that.. It's not the quickest way, but it'll ensure that the volume is at least the right size. Hope that helps mate, cheers :)

btw, this is probably a really stupid question, but with ported boxes, do you still need to put sound deadener stuff in there?

  • @jonwhunt

To figure volume in an existing enclosure you fill the enclosure with packing peanuts...now dump them into a square box which is easy to calculate. if you make weirs custom enclosure and it'd too big you can fill it with objects like wood or lightweight foam to take up space/

  • Mint boxs guys, how come you didnt add any tissue or matting fibre

  • song is?? please

  • @elterreno1 King T lets make a V.A. or somwthin like that

  • im curious all you did was put a tshirt and then resin over it and you didnt have to use any fiberglass cloth pieces?

  • You can use glas cloth if added strenght is needed.

  • that box is sex in sub enclosure format. 5 stars for sure, looks beautiful!

  • LOL this will be in COROLLA lMAO

  • ok i realy like it

  • hey how much do u think it would cost to make something like that just a lil bigger?

  • Comment removed

  • so what fiberkit do u use?resin and what?plss

  • fleece

  • bult for a specail friend.... you better have got some ass for that bud, thats alot of work... well done. Look so nice.

  • Can you tell me where did you buy that body filler. There isn't any place that sell that in my area.. = (

  • all auto parts stores have bondo. Home improvement shops carry it as well

  • how many layers of glass and what grade or just cloth covers the top? trying to put 3 15s in a camaro

  • That is fucking clean.

  • Great vid!

  • i got a question can u use either chopped strand or cotton cloth to cover the box, or whats better? that box came out clean

  • you can use either, some have their reasons for both, some say chopped because its easier to mold to complex boxes, some say cotton cloth since its stronger. usually you fiberglass to A. make it weigh less, and B. allow for good looks. I hope to one day make my own for my del sol.

  • so the wood u use 2 hold the circle thing fo the sub do u take that out or what

  • yes, there holding it from the part you would cut out neway to make way for the subs

  • damn hurt holy shit thats amazing fool

  • How many coats of the resin should you put on?

  • the stuff he uses at 1:55 IS fiberglass resin, it is used to make the shell/ harden the cloth meterial

  • is it just a regular piece of cloth the one he uses to wrap the enclosure or what is it?

    thanks

  • whats the stuff you put on it at 1:55????? any one please, help me out

  • Looks like it is jes fibreglass resin, prolly needed to to the shell for the enclosure.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Fiberglass and Bondo are hell to work worth. Prepare for a mess!! These cats look on point tho.

Always wash off fiberglass with cold water. Warm water opens the skin and the fiberglass penetrates!

    Great looking box.

  • looks nice man,

how much did this cost approximately?

  • Quick question for hurtugood86. Is the off white stuff you sprayed on after sanding the auto body filler a gel coat?

  • cool

  • nice

  • you dont need to use screws on mdf.... you can use liquid nails for strength and use brad nails to basically hold it together while the liquid nails dry

  • WMG douchebags done it again..

  • scusate cualcuno sa il titolo della canzone se losapete scrivetelo su youtube grazzie ciao

  • nice sub, and cool video

  • nice and well thought out, two thumbs up

  • Freakn youtube blocked the sound...

    Goddamn hate it...

  • @LTraddical now the sound its on:D

  • great box, that must of taken ages to make,

  • nice box i would used a brad gun to those pieces of wood together i heard some were that useing screw has a high probability of weekinig the box because you could split the ends of the wood if you dont pre drill

  • Good Job, but a lot of work for a fiberglass "box"

  • What was that black stuff you used to curve the shaped at the beginning 1:22?

  • how much does that box run?

  • nice job

  • so uhh, did you use any fiberglass matting or juust the fleece soaked in the resin?

  • nice job !

  • do you use any kind of computer software to build your box and to calculate its cubic feet?

  • song is break em' off

  • name of song

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • lotta work for something that just chills in the middle of the trunk, shoulda fitted that shit in there

  • Yup, Shoulda gone with the masking tape molding trick and used up some of the corner space in the trunk. Still looks awsome though

  • gangsta

  • farkk nice paint job man

  • nice build badass pain job

  • whats the material that he stapled on called

  • (repost) homer pimpson was the CCC, color changin click , which paul wall ,was apart of , bad ass group of people

  • how much did all this cost?

  • ive got to :29 so far lol

  • what is the first song plssssssss tell

  • whattt... u tellin me , you dont know the mother fuckin texas allstar , paul wall , yep paul wall , look up his swisha house mixtapes from 2000 and such. better than this mainstream shit.

  • Paul Wall is from South Carolina! I remember he started out as a lil geeky white boy. I dont know what happened to him, but It's nice to see what a success he has become.

  • SC ? umm for as long as i have known him, he has been in H town. and thas been a long fuckin while , i was born in cuero , and grew up in goliad , i dont say im from cuero , i say im from goliad. not where ur from , but where u at. i remember when , paul wall , and chamillionaire use to do all there cd's together. never apart. look up homer pimpson. swisha house baby.

  • paul wall-break em off

  • how do u calculate how long the port is and everything to make it like 35 hz

  • what was he wiping on at 4:00

  • Looks like either rubbing alcohol, or mineral spirits. Either one will work to remove dirt/grease before priming/painting.

  • hey what product are you using at 2:40 to go around the edges..is it body filler?

  • can you use any fabric

  • I'm currently building a box, I used fleece, I've seen most people use the same, but I've also seen nylon and cotton.

  • polyester works too

  • i am going to use a old shit. and a old towl ,and a old blanket. lol , bet it works, can anyone tell me the wood used to make these boxes ?

  • an old shit? wtf and its mdf at least 3/4 inch other wise theres too much box flex

  • Luxurios bass box

  • baskog mig! :D

  • uuuhhmm... you didnt use eny fiberglass at all dude?

  • Yea that definately didnt seem like enough fiberglass. Nice finished product though. Hope it doesnt crack.

  • Yo homie, sick work, I like the subtleties in your designs... What was that clear shit you sprayed on after your primed it?

  • damn i like that.looks good

  • What materials do u use to make everything. or where can i find all that info... i want to start one for my car.

  • what are the dimensions of the box and the ports i am making one just like it but with 10" drivers

  • Hey, that sick and i like how u showed everyone how to make it but whats the SONG?

  • break em off by paul wall

  • Props for the box and the Video. Every time I watch it I learn something new. Is there a trick to getting the fabric tight and smooth. I am using fleece. BTW the way you made the rings and how I make them now with a router was an awesome time saver. You rock dude

  • Thanks for the props. The only trick to adding fleece is just streching it enough to remove sags and wrinkles as you hold it down with spray glue and staples as you stretch it.

  • awesome dude.. awesome, ill take pics while i FG my sub, and illpost em, and you can give me some pointers maybe?? later dude

  • Yeah, that works. Email me when you post it.

  • thanks alot!! one more thing, whats the putty stuff called?

  • Rage Gold body filler.

  • i am going to fiberglass my fbody SPG sub, and need a little help, how many layers of FG did u put on the fabric??

how long does the whol process take? (should i build a pure mdf box for temp use)

and is it hard for an amatuer to air spray or paint the glass?? thxx and if u can give me any pointer it will be much appreciated!!

    BTW your shit looks tight!!

  • The process can take about 6 hours if you're experienced. But if you're starting out you might want to take your time to make it perfect (about a week or two). I usually use two to three layers of 6oz mat. About the painting, check out videos on here on how to paint, but more than anything, you will only learn best by trying it. Try it first then let me know how it goes and I will try to advice you on what to correct.

  • Great job on the fiberglass enclosure. I'm doing two 8 w7's in between the seats in an f-150 (dodge viper style). Should hit pretty hard. What's the name of this song also, thanks.
