  • how do you get it off the sharks?

  • Very cool.

What lense is used for the underwater shots? The lense that comes on the regular housing wont work underwater?

I just bought the gopro 2 and was hoping to do some underwater filming but now I need to get another housing to do this?

  • Go to our website eyeofmine and go to gopro section and underwater section. flat lens housing there.

  • The one on your website looks a bit different than the one on the shark video. What is the difference?

  • They put their own foam bobbers on it.

  • Hi, nice work!!!

I was lucky, that the camera I bought, inspired by this show... was a GoPro!

I had no idea, it was one these cams. Saw 'Aqua Vision'(?) or something on the credits.

    Question:

What setting was used on the sharks???... r3, r5???

    (Was good enough for TV)

  • It was all at 1080. They didn't want it to be super wide.

  • @eyeofmineGoProHDHero Oh, thank you... I could have sworn, one of the guys described an 'inside the mouth' bite...

Saying, "...this (bite down) happened within a 60th of a second,"

    - so I wondered what format was used in that case.

-But, again, thank you... was an excellent show, partly thanks to you!!!

  • As you will readily recall, I have your good camera, but experiences a terrible blurriness upon playback - This is blurriness in regular video (I am NOT referring to underwater footage - which is solved by purchasing an after market case)

No thanks to GoPro, I did solve at least SOME of the problem by upgrading VLC Player to version 1.1.4

  • I want one! to bad im not in Hawaii anymore

  • And I've said please so many times, no luck. Maybe its my breath. Would love to try this next year in the Cocos Islands where there are thousands of sharks.

  • Would love to know how, once the fin cam was put on, they managed to stay with the shark so as to take it back off.

    Steve

  • They would just say please. The original plan was to have a rope attached to the release lever, but instead, when the shark made a sudden movement, or went to far down or swam too fast, the camera would simply come off anyway. HOWEVER, we made 5 mounts total and they lost two of them when sharks swam off and the camera didn't come off. Because the mount was always during a feeding friendzy, they weren't too concerned about the sharks swimming off.

  • i will the finish video !!!!!!!

  • go pros are out of focus in their standard housing? are they or is he talking about the fish eye lense?

  • He meant to say underwater they are out of focus. They are fine on land.

  • Nice :-)

  • Wow :o

  • wow, you made another lens type

did i somehow miss a review video or something

i only knew of the one with that "plastic bag"

  • Yes you definitely missed something. We now have a flat lens housing. Check it out! Obviously being used by the 'big guys'.
