well he didn´t really die at the end as much as i heard he still lives because there is so much( i think it´s ) epinephrin (don´t know how to write it-anyway) in his body that he still lives. so then they bring him to a hospital and he gets a new heart. and then he needs eletricty to keep the heart alive or something like that.
it says that when he fell in the end of the first one there are some cases where people fall 100 stories and live or however but a chineese mobster takes his indestructible heart and replaces it with a electric ticker which takes charges of electricity to keep running
He took the "hatian shit" in the taxi, i think thats what keeps him running along with all that epinephrine cause after he takes it, he doesnt have any more problems.
if you watch the very end of Crank, you will see him blink after he hits the ground and then the screen goes black. which easily still leaves him alive =]
