  • your comment in 3:05 i have some concern you see the jesus said that God the Father is spirt it is clearly stated in John 4:24.

My question would be where in the bible does it say that God the Father has flesh and bones??

  • @loks1100 That verse is a mistranslation. Check the greek version or accept that we have real prophets in our day who can clarify things like that. It should read, "For unto such hath God promised his Spirit. And they who worship him, must worship in spirit and in truth."

  • @WhyImMormon you see thats the problem i did check the greek?

  • @WhyImMormon or can you just show me where that claim is stated?

  • Do You Believe That While God Was Like Us (a Sinner) That There Were Other Gods (Higher Beings)?

  • @booooooolpusterd Read the comment below.

  • Do you believe that God the Father was once perhaps a sinner before he became a God?

  • @aaronshaf2006 Yes.

  • I am also a member of the church, but to Me Jesus Christ is not just my older brother, but he his my Father. He is my Lord. He is my Savior. He is My God and My King! All authority has been given to him in Heaven and on Earth. So I testify that he is God. Heavenly Father Lives and Jesus Christ Lives. He is worthy to be Praised every single day forever. In Jesus Christ, Amen!

  • You repeatedly say you want to " be like Christ". But it's always coupled with I try my best. Honestly, what is your best? the bible says "all our righteous acts are like filthy rags" Isaiah 64:6 what are you really giving to God? "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

  • @NrdyPrep Isaiah has said what many other prophets have said, that we are natural men and enemies to God. That is why we have our Savior to atone for us and help make up the difference which we cannot do.

Read James 2:14-26 to find our more about works. If we don't actually work toward perfection, isn't that a slap to the Atonement?

  • Deut. 13 doesn't say that Joseph Smith wasn't a prophet, it says that if any man claims to be a dreamer or prophet and says "Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known." But we don't believe in other gods. We believe in the one true god who is our father and his Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Deut. 13 is speaking in a time to the ancients concerning egyptian gods and greek gods, as well as Idols. This stands true today with Joseph Prince and such. Mormons believe in God...

  • if you're on the subject of blasphemies then read deuteronomy 13:1-5 and if you want read the rest of it, cuz i know how you take things out of context. in reference to that, the bible fulfilled the prophecies when jesus died and rose again. so why call your bud joseph smith a prophet when... its already been fulfilled? i find it hard to believe that God waiting 1820 years to reveal something that important. God speaks without words.

  • When does God say that He will never again call a prophet? Christ fulfilled the Law of Moses and introduced His Gospel. That Gospel was eventually taken from the earth because man corrupted it.

If God speaks w/o words, then what is the Bible?

  • @WhyImMormon "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe." Hebrews 1:1

SO do you think the Bible is corrupted?

  • @NrdyPrep I don't see how that scripture contradicts anything I have said. Poor argument. If I denied Christ, then this would be a good scripture. It simply says that there were prophets before Christ, and then another prophet, Jesus Christ came. It doesn't say that He is the last prophet. Amos 3:7 says that God will always have a prophet. So, what's your point?

  • yes, you believe that you cannot be saved except thru him, but you add onto that. Just like everything else. The Bible is sufficient, it doesn't need any more books. Also, say you must do works in order to get into heaven. But then it's says everyone will be saved. Then why build a relationship with God?

And you did not answer my question about Deuteronomy 13.

  • Quit speaking for God! Where did it say that He will never speak again?

And regarding works, what about James 2:17? Certainly seems like you need works. How could you expect that you'll be saved if you merely believe in Christ and then commit all of the sins that you want? Sounds like blasphemy to me. Just a slap to the Atonement.

And what about Deut. 13? You never said what to look for.

  • @WhyImMormon Works is not a way to gain salvation. It is a way to know someone is a true member of the church/ has Christ living in them(Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.") The bible never says works are required to live with God. It is kind of how you say it; we can't "commit all of the sin that you want" or else this shows that we don't have Christ within us.

  • @NrdyPrep We will never be able to gain salvation by works alone-we need grace and faith. However, common sense says that if you want something, you work towards it. How can God allow people to do whatever they want and then expect everything to be reconciled to perfection, in the end? He doesn't. With works we show Christ that His Atonement was worthwhile. That we are trying to be like Him. We will never be perfect like Him, but we must do out best and He'll take over in the end.

  • Please, do not say you are Christians. Christians believe that simply having Jesus in your heart, and believing in him and what he did is your ticket to salvation. The one and only salvation in Heaven. There is one true book. And that is the Bible. No man. NO MAN, is deserving, or intelligent enough to change that.

Deuteronomy 13. Can you tell me how Mormons an get around this one?

  • We are Christian. We believe in Jesus Christ and that no one can be saved, except through Him.

Who are you to say that God can never reveal anymore? Since when were you appointed as His press secretary?

  • Thanks for sending the links, but you really did not answer my question according to the Bible Scripture reference I asked you about in Isaiah 43:10...? A simple answer of yes or no with a brief explaintion of why would be enough. Just wondering how you look at that verse in light of humans possibly becoming a god...??? Thanks.

  • HE's speaking about who we worship.

  • Yes, beginning of Is 43:10 states who they should believe in, but the 2nd part of the verse states, "Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me." That states that there is NO gods that existed before GOD and no gods that will be after GOD. The Biblical GOD is the only GOD. The Bible does not support that humans could become god or any other gods could exist. The Bible does not proclaim that there a Father God and the existence of other gods. Do you agree?

  • So you state that mormons worship one god, but that in the end one can become god.... So even though you worship one god, mormons would have to say there are many gods (though you may not worship them), right?? Then how do you deal with the Scripture in the Bible that states, "Before me no god was formed nor will there be one after me...." Isaiah 43:10 Just wondering...??

  • Christian: Monotheist

    Mormon: Polytheist

  • We worship God the Eternal Father. Now I graduated Elementary School, so that only seems like one to me. Just saying.

  • Don't run from the fact that your church teaches that YOU, through your temple work, could one day be a god. That is polytheistic. Can't have it both ways

  • All that mono/polytheists believe is WHOM you worship, nothing else.

  • WRONG. Christians believe God is God is God. There are no others anywhere. There never has been and never could be. Mormons believe men, through works, can have their own dominion and become a god on a par with God the Father, as your elementary school education prepared you for, this means more than one god exists and that you can be one of them. POLYTHEIST.

  • While we believe that we can one day become a god, we don't worship any other than God the Father. We all have fathers, but does that mean we can't become a father ourself?

  • Is there support in the Bible that says God The Father has a resurrected body of flesh and bone now?

  • @toddschreiner ...Gen. 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved ...Ex. 33:11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend ...John 20: 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Are not he Father and the Son one?

  • And that's another great thing about modern revelation. Modern day prophets can tell us these things.

  • Hello i realle admire your faith and your good williness to help people understand your beliefs. But almost all what the mormon preach are very easy to debunk. Please don't take as a hater or something, i have mormon friends and i love them, but really, do you honestly beleive all that nonsense?

  • Yup, I believe!!!

  • Thank you for this video, its beautiful and informative.

  • If Jesus assumed the burden of our sins shouldn't he be in hell?

  • Good question. What He experienced was hell. He not only took upon all of our sins, mistakes and weaknesses, He also felt the punishment for them. Because He did this, if we accept Him and follow Him, we won't have to feel those pains.

  • You keep rambling on and on about Jesus Christ to try to convince yourself that you believe when you actually do not. You are chanting like a cult follower. Look hard and deep and truly follow the Lord. By the way, you spent over 8 minutes of your 9:00 minute video rambling trying to convince yourself. It convices no one else.

  • If you really believed in Christ, you wouldn't ever treat someone like this. Christ would never tell a believer that they are a liar. Shame on you. It seems like you are the one that needs a better testimony of Christ.

  • Mormons do belive in Jesus, but he's very small to them. He's but one part of its inherent autosoterism.

  • not even close. Jesus is one of the biggest parts of mormon religion if not the biggest

  • You sir are extremely ill-informed. Please do not give out your rumors and stereotypes as gospel fact.

  • You are a good person, but your physical movements, your eyes, tone of voice, show otherwise. YOUr physical movements shows you have so much doubt in what you are saying or thinking.

  • How dare you! What do you know of emotions and tone? If you knew any of it you'd have more respect for me and what I KNOW to be true. Don't cast your own doubt on me. What I have said I know to do be true. I have studied Christ and His life and KNOW that He lives today.

Also, I am a student of micro expressions. You are full of it when you say you know what I really thinking. My video is only full of the opposite of your observations.

  • whatever alot of people act like this in front of the camera and are totally different in real life. why do you think actors get paid so much?

  • First of all this is not to be rude or to bash...however I was a mormon 18 years and noticed that missionaries never seem to talk about certain beliefs of the LDS church: Heavenly mother, blacks not allowed in priesthood until 1978, the fact the the book of mormon has been edited over 3900 times, the fact that they believe they can become gods, the magic underwear, and lastly the fact that god lives on "KOLOB" I would just like to indicate that for a church claiming divinity they do hide alot

  • Missionaries don't talk about that for a few reasons. 1. It's not pertinent to our salvation. None of those are the First Principles or Ordinance of the Gospel. 2. Some of the things mentioned aren't correct. 3. Why discuss some of the controversial and misunderstood things? Shouldn't they discuss the things that will really affect you?

  • Well I would have to disagree with you brother and I respect your faith....however my belief is that if missionaries mentioned some of these things people would shy away and not want anything to do with this church

  • That doesn't sound like a good strategy. The whole thing of missionaries is to bring people unto Christ through His Church, not so push them away. Besides, you teach them the things they NEED to know first, and then when you can handle it, you go to the deep stuff. Milk before meat as it is in the NT, 1 Cor. 3:2

  • Well as I said before this wasn't ment to bash and I do wish you well with your faith. thank you.

  • I would also disagree. I heard many of such things before and after becoming a member. It is the truth of the Gospel and the testimony I have recieved from the Spirit of the Lord that has kept me active in this Church.

  • What would happened if you mother would've fed you with meat the first day you were born? Exactly! You've got to start with the basic principles of the Church (milk before meat) And for 18 years of being a Mormon, why the heck you never asked or talk about our Heavenly mother? When I joined the Church a little over 3yrs. ago, I didn't ask because these are all made sense as I grow into mu new found faith. There were Blacks in the Church way before 1978 & Africa is blooming as a rose

  • "I believe in Christ..." na na na na na....LOL. I like that song! Great explanation btw.

  • Most of my Mormon friends say that they study, and believe, the KJV Bible. If so why do they even "need" the Book of Mormon?? Also, if Mormons truly believe the KJV Bible how could they possibly believe the obvious heresies that would continually "pop up" as they read the BOM? Most Mormons are truly good folks and live out their faith better than most other Christians I know but I don't understand this glaring paradox between the BOM and the KJV Scriptures. -Peace-

  • The Book of Mormon is another witness of the Bible. Why reject a second account? If we did that, why do we have 4 gospels instead of just 1? Why were there 12 apostles, and not just 1? Why does your teacher require 2 textbooks, instead of just 1?

    What heresies occur?

    What paradox?

  • Exactly, traditional Christianity doesn't believe that. We are traditional Christians. Never said we were. We have the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because the traditional gospel had too much apostasy and changes to be pure today. Truths were lost, and they're now restored.

  • WhyImMormon said:

"We have the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because the traditional gospel had too much apostasy and changes to be pure today. Truths were lost, and they're now restored."

since early Christians & their rival heresies were literate, could you show us where in the paper trail, LDS-like beliefs are spelled out?

are you saying that the Bible is wrong, missing LDS ritual, or some-such thing?

  • We believe the Bible to be the word of God, so far as it is translated correctly.

  • does translated correctly mean by LDS interpretation, or from the LDS context?

  • It means closest to God's original word.

  • READ: Matt.6:9-13 & Luke.11:2-4

WHICH OF THE TWO WOULD YOU RATHER MEMORIZE?

I guess two authors heard the same thing but forgot how it was said, better yet, still Christians seem not to understand who to pray & worship. Jesus didn't ask His Apostles to pray to Him, but to His Father using His name. If you don't read your Bible, you will never understand God's Truth.

  • Thank you for your clear words. I agree to them all.

  • GOOD JOB BRO. OUR CHURCH IS TRUE

  • What is to say that we aren't? We believe Him to be the Son of God. He died for us. He lives today. He leads this Church, and it is named after Him.

  • We were asked by our Church to go out and share. I do what I can to be nice and caring, not hateful and bashing like you.

Traditional Christianity doesn't believe what we believe because we aren't traditional. That's what other churches are through years of teachings that have been changed. Our Church is a Restoration of those great truths taught by Christ when He was on the Earth.

  • WhyImMormon said:

"Traditional Christianity doesn't believe what we believe because we aren't traditional.. Our Church is a Restoration of those great truths taught by Christ when He was on the Earth."

    2 things;

    1. if you are a restoration, could you find any LDS-type church or doc that spells out LDS-like rituals in 1st Century? not proof-texts (1 verse here & there), but actual chapters?

    2. if Joe Smith's claim to prophethood are the BoM & BoA, he's a false prophet, both are alt histories

  • 1. There are things in the OT, but I can repeat them from memory, and I don't need to prove myself to anyone. In fact, I can't prove it. I know that this Church is true because it was told to me of the Holy Ghost. Something that can't be replicated by a human. So I will not prove it.

    2. Joseph didn't claim he was a prophet because he translated the BOM, he was called of God. He said it.

  • thank you again, wonderful testimony.

  • Thanks again beautiful and good effort, we should all post one of these! :)

  • Thanks for your videos, hope to see many more!

  • Thank you for sharing this

  • You mention that you take water and bread for sacrament... why water?

  • It seems that traditional Christianity uses wine for the sacrament because of what it says in the Bible. However, after careful study of ancient history you learn that the "wine" that Christ used was pure, or rather fresh from the vine. Historically this means that Christ used grape juice for the sacrament. When you take the juice from the grapes and drink it, there isn't any alcohol in it, thus making it grape juice.

  • I don't agree with that, nor is it supported historically... but putting the argument of grapefruit vs wine, why do you drink water why not grape juice then?

  • It actually is supported historically, if not just by simple deduction. When wine is made it is first just grape juice, non-fermented. And if he took it as straight from the vine, it implies that it was just grape juice and not wine.

Joseph Smith received a revelation for us not to use wine, as most other religions did at the time. The Lord told him that anything would do. So we could use grape juice or even Tang if we wanted to. But water is just easier to obtain for 13 million members weekly.

  • Yes, the song by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was phenomenal.

Yes, we don't believe in the traditional christ we believe in the historical Christ!
