I'm looking for some jazz blues bebop backing tracks. Preferably in the key of Bb and at about 150bpm for about 10min long, bass, drums and maybe piano accompaniment. Is anyone able to help? Many thanks.
I wanted to thank you because, despite the geographical distances, follow your sound advice and your music helps me to improve my guitar technique. Thanks Manlio
The articulations between the quarter notes have swing but the walking lacks it. It's almost perfectly on the note, which isn't good for jazz. There almost perfectly placed.
Just saying walking gets almost annoyingly repetitive (not to say it isn't) if you don't go around the pocket while still staying in it.
Yeah but then I never said it was perfect but it gets the job done for a little vid =) gotta cut 'em some slack as you know guitar is despite the layout similarity very different from a bass instrument.
Matt could you post the basic chord substitutions you use in this, think i saw an A flat major 7 (sub for the Bflat 7). Even just the basic idea like subbing for example the dim7 of the flat2nd ,3,5,7 for the 4/5 chord would be great trying to broaden my substitution knowlege. Your phrasing was wonderful in this as well
Ur a beast bro

Matt, big fan. i have learnt so much from you. thank you
Is this an original based on some techniques from jazz blues?
I have been transcribing it and was wondering if you wouldn't mind me covering it with my jazz/blues band?

Tell the bassist for me to put more swing the walking the point is to lag behind the beat more than you jump it with walking.

I hear 2-5's at the end of the second line and beginning of the 3rd but it's early so I could be wrong.
So F7 is preceded with Cm7 in bar 9. Maybe before that is Dm7b5 G7. In which case he tritones the D chord to Ab so that might be what you saw.
Gah I'm too groggy, let me know if it helped or not though I can try again when I'm awake =)
