Last time I saw the HM she only had 4 bodyguards near her and the last time I saw the Prince of Wales (it wasn't the last time he went to Australia) he only had one detective travelling with him.
Lord John doesn't have any bodyguards? The official ambassador of Her Majesty's government, someone with full diplomatic immunity and who is the sole face and voice of the United Kingdom here, doesn't have bodyguards?
Times have changed but Harold Wilson, who was a lousy Prime Minister but not the sort of bloke to get nervous over such matters, only had one bodyguard. It was his habit to introduced him with the words, "this is Fred. He is the man that shoots the man that shoots me."
@sunnchilde Western European politicians and government officials generally have A LOT LESS security around than their U.S. counterparts. It has traditionally been pretty common for cabinet ministers to be spotted alone in public places. Unfortunately, there have been several incidents in recent years that have caused some revision of this attitude, including the fatal knife stabbing of Anna Lindh, Sweden's foreign minister, by a psychotic man, inside a Stockholm department store in 2003.
i found myself distracted by the music playing in the background. What appears to be a good clean amp paired with a tubescreamer.

'Since when has it been the policy of the US to negotiate with terrorists"?
"we've had Arafat here, John"
"and my heaven, isn't that paying bloody dividends"...
Classic Sorkin... Tv nowadays is so moronic. no dialogue of substance...

Does anyone know the name of the music in the background in this and the other bar scene?

Plus they slipped out of the party to come to the bar. What are the chances you would recognize the British ambassador in a bar?

They're probably having a rum-in-coke in the background.
