  • Very interesting, but what I don't think that you really touched on was the illusory nature of what we call "reality". A close examination of nature at the most primal quantum level shows this to be very much the case, with particles winking in and out of existance. Our perceptions are based on the fact that our minds are so far removed from the real nature of nature: the fluctuation of the quantum foam.

  • Hi M - The point of the verse and the video is to show the impermanence of everything. It is one of the three foundations of Buddhism -- the other 2 being Karma and non-self. I cannot introduce Buddhism in 500 words, but can recommend this free book What Buddhists Believe (do a Google). The Buddha was asked things like this, which he generally declined to answer. He said such discussions were a diversion from his message of ending suffering. Thanks for your comment. NJ
