Killing Floor was out first. Started as a mod in 2004. Then released in 2009. Also has more weapons the Left 4 Dead. WAY more replay value and it is $20. Sometimes there are discounts so you can get the game for $7 or so with all the character packs. Perks are what make the game better then Left 4 Dead. Check it out. Runs on any old computers also unlike L4D.

Killing floor lacks many aspects unlike L4D2 BUT it is much funner because the maps are HUGE and there is no set direction of where ya gotta go, its like strategy, survival and co-op and its WAY harder then L4D and the weapons, oh the weapons, there are SO many! SO GET KILLING FLOOR. L4D2 too if possible because you can also download fanmade maps for it

Now, L4D players are getting used to what to do and they usually just rush off without caring about you. In KF, if you leave the team, you have more risks to get yourself killed. For example, players just set tank on fire and keep running. KF, fleshpound eventually catches you up as he is raged.

killing floor is better, in my opinion, but you didn't bring up even half of the good stuff in kf, like:waves getting harder every time, cool boss wave, events like christmass, or summer events, more difficulties, there is much more different survival tactiks, combos like kiting, camping, medic crossbow soloing, demolition pipes, fp soloing, sc soloing, all the good, fun stuff in kf, i have played kf almost 500hrs, in this year, and still occasionally learning something new and fun, KF FTW<3

This was a completely new experiance for me i thank you. , I loved the scenery and a lil better suspension, perhaps wud have reduced the vibration of the camera and also wud have allowed u to comment properly. Killing Floor has much better coop play for survival, and its much quicker. But L4D has Versus mode which is completly differnt from the Survival or Campaign

I prefer Killing Floor for one reason: the gunplay is FAR superior. No sissy crosshairs, you use your iron sights as you would if you were really firing the gun. Plus the look and feel of the weapons is spot-on (at least,the ones I've fired IRL).

I do love both games though.

@MrRaghead69 Yeah I mixed some stuff up. It was a mod for the unreal tournament 2004 engine before. But now it runs on the unreal 3 engine. I thought it was a mod for unreal tournament 3 at first then they went commercial. I was wrong though. And if it had been you would be able to play on Ps3 because Unreal tournament 3 does support mods/maps after they're cooked for Ps3. But that wasn't the case. It was a mod for UT2004, and now it's only out for PC.

The official stand alone game was released in May 2009 and it is improved much and not a mod anymore. It's old to unreal tournament players, but to new ones, it's new. Nobody really care bout UT anyway. lol. Both games are great to have. Or i say, MUST HAVE. :)

But even in the different maps in KF there is always that trader that gives you the same guns every wave and you can always look forward to the same zombies every eave and the patriarch at the end.
