It seems fitting that when Adora transforms into the strong She-Ra, she would grow long hair. Even though her strength comes from her sword and not her hair. Kind of reminds me of the Bible story of Delilah and Samson. Delilah was Samson's mistress. She discovered the secret of his strength was his long hair, and sold the information to Samson's enemies, the Philistines. One night she cut off all of his hair which made him weak.
