  • Are you married? =)

  • Hi... my name is tarun. i live in UK but i am originally from india. i am planning to start my nursing degree soon. i found your youtube videos very inspiring. After watching your video i am even more determined to do my nursing degree and become a nurse. keep it up ... Tarun

  • @tarun123honey - Tarun, it is great that you are planning on studying nursing! I hope your adventures go great and I can't wait to hear about your experiences!

  • Question. I'm a guy who's planning to start a BSN program in Tx for the spring 2013 semester. My gpa is closer to average than competive. How many nursing school applications should I submit to increase my chances of getting at least one acceptance letter?

  • @MrEze5000 - I may be a bad person to ask this question to since I only applied to 1 undergraduate nursing program. However, if I had to do it all over again, I would apply to AT LEAST 3 different programs. Hope this helps!

  • love this!

  • @acmsexydiva23 - Thanks for the comment! While it was difficult to make, I am glad I did.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. I'm currently a nursing student so I can definitely relate. It's been the most difficult and stressful year of my life. I'm very glad that you were able to make it through in spite of all the obstacles. Congrats : )

  • @DAL138 - Good luck in nursing school! I understand the difficulty and the stress...but just hang in there. Never give up!

  • @NurseStephen I love your video. I took my NCLEX this month on the 14th and failed. Am so divasted. I don't know how to pick up my peices. I feel stupid and dump. How can I study for my second try? One of my friends told me to sign up for HURTS I don't know how good they are but I really need help. Am almost giving up my life. Am hurting so bad. I feel like my God has abandoned me.

  • @sishe1 First of all, you graduated. You don't have to worry about NOT being a nurse. You will be a nurse one day. You should see the number of my co-workers who failed the N-CLEX their first or second try. I STRONGLY recommend the HURST. I KNOW the HURST helped me pass my final semester of nursing school and helped me with the NCLEX. However, HURST is expensive. I also got a Saunders NCLEX review book and studied their questions and rationales. Don't worry. You will pass. Don't Give Up!

  • @NurseStephen I just feel like crying. Am willing to sign up for HURTS. I did go through the sanders review but it didn't help. Am trying to suppress my hurtful feelings but it's just so hard. Am currently taking 12 Credit hrs which puts me in a bad situation. I cannot give up my classes because am half way done. I just paid for my NCLEX and waiting for my ATT. I feel very blank that even easy questions are hard to answer after that VALENTINES' NIGHTMARE.

  • Hi Stephen, I asked my Prof. to examine my grades and came to know that he lost one of my paper and graded me zero on that! Everything is clear now and I got my A. :)

  • @bhod2ari - WOOOOOO! CONGRATULATIONS!

  • Ok, so I was just crying while watching your video... Failing is my biggest fear because I am 30. I am a single mom of 2 and applied to the RN program YESTERDAY!! Advising for the fall on monday... Yay! So pins and needles until late may? Im really emotional about the whole experience right now because if I dont get in it will just devistate me. EEK!!

Wow, you went to SAU? I am going to National Park RN program if I get accepted of course! Thanks for sharing your story and Go Hogs, lol!!

  • @TheTldn - Single moms over 30 were a majority of the students in my nursing class. Seriously. I will be on pins and needles with you until May! If you don't get in...try somewhere else. Keep on going. Never give up!

    Woo Pig Sooie!

  • @NurseStephen Took my TEAS V yesterday! That test was flippin HARD! I got a 85% which is in 96th percentile! Go me... it sure didnt feel like I did that well when I was taking it, but Ill take it, lol! And had my first inteview with the head of the nuring dept Monday... Looks like this thing just might happen.

Thanks for the response and keep those videos coming!

  • @TheTldn - CONFREAKINGRADULATIONS! That is one amazing score! I hope you are able to be in nursing school soon! Keep me updated!

  • I failed Pharmacology my first semester and had to retake it. One thing that got me through it the second time was a quote by Mary Pickford: "This thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down." I'm so happy you kept going!

  • @calmcommo323 - I remember how HARD pharmacology was in school. I LOVE that quote! I am glad to see you didn't give up!!! Thanks for the inspiring quote!!!!

  • I love your story! I am soooo nervous but I too shall not give up. :)

  • @cocoduv2886 - WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! You got it!

  • THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR STORY! IT IS AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY AND I WILL BE A NURSE I WILL NOT GIVE UP........I AM CALLED ...THANKS

  • @mmcdonald20081 - You know your calling. Great! Nursing school will throw a lot of crap your way to make you second guess your calling. Don't give up!

  • Very inspiring. Thanks!

  • @umbdude - Thanks for liking it!

  • Bravo!

  • @Vanity8Vain - Thanks for the comment!

  • (Clapping) Yes!!

  • @Rspud08 - Thanks!

  • You are super. This videos says so much to me. Eyes full of tears because I know exactly what you are talking about. Never give up!

  • @MissAmandaFCRNA - Never give up! You got it!

  • Thx for being so candid. Your video is very inspiring. I'm making a career change and sometimes doubt tries to set in but it's usually trumped by my deep desire to be a nurse so hearing your story encourages me to stick w/my inner promptings.

  • @1Candysweets - I am glad the video helps! Stay strong. Don't give up!

  • WOW!!! Thank you very much for creating this video. I can relate. I barely....and I do mean that literally, passed my second semester. I know I must figure out what I must do differently next term or I an afraid I might not be so fortunate. Your video was inspiring.

  • @MrHealthseeker - Thank you for your comment. If you haven't found your learning style, I would recommend watching my learning styles video. Once I found mine, I did a hell of a lot better. Good luck in future classes!

  • LITERALY IN TEARS CONGRATS

  • @traceyb633 - I am glad you liked the video.

  • or should I just forget it? My prof. had miscalculated on midterm and I told him and he corrected on my paper but not sure if he corrected on his record. What would you do?

  • @bhod2ari - I would go with your gut. An A- is still an amazing grade. However, if you feel that your final grade was graded inappropriately, I would be the first person to call that instructor on Tuesday morning. :D

  • Comment removed

  • Hi Stephen, I have a question here. I took Eng101 and SSN 187. I got an A in Eng 101 but A- in SSN 187 and I hate to see that minus because I calculated and there is a very very high hope for me to get an A because I have all the grades except my final grade and even if I scored 16.5 out of 25 in final I could fall in A because we have 10 bonus points! I wrote to my professor asking if it is possible to talk to him about it but no reply. My college is closed till Tuesday.Whom do I need 2 ask?

  • Wow! GOD is so good. I'm in Pre-Nursing now, I have to retake my chemistry class and i'm hearing all of the blabber about how competative it is to enter nursing school and I have to admit that it is a bit discouraging, but one thing I know is that I too am called for this and I know that what God has for me is for me just as He had for you. Thank you for your encougement. I cried watching your video, it was very uplifting.

  • @MelzBelz05 - Once you get that call, you can't just turn your back on it! People have to retake Chemistry all the time. Retaking it won't prevent you from your calling!

  • oh wow! this is great! I failed my med surg class by .5 I'm meeting with my nursing instructor tomorrow to review my final & speak about my final grade. Wish me luck. I worked so hard this semester. This is so inspirational. I will not give up!

  • @misspinkie86 - Good luck! Med/Surg was my most difficult class. Don't Ever Give Up!

  • oh JK didn't watch the whole video when i typed it in

  • @ooglesnboogles - answered your own question before I had a chance. I loved my college. I would go back in a heart beat.

  • Which school did you go to out of curiosity?

  • @mayralovesyu - Thank you for your dedication to my channel.

  • @CHARA523 - That is one of the main reasons I did this video. Be inspired. Don't ever give up.

  • @roso614 - It is very difficult at the end of the semester when your best friends in nursing school either don't succeed or when you don't. There were many heartaches shared together. Congrats on finishing your first semester!!! You are 1 semester closer to your goal!

  • @Funkyfunand40 - I WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!!!

  • @bhod2ari - Good luck in your pre-reqs!!!!!!! Thanks for your comment!

  • @tmichellemd111 - There is a saying in nursing school. You have the "real world" nursing and the "NCLEX" nursing. While they should always coincide with each other, they sometimes don't. They should never oppose each other.

  • Thank you for sharing your story. It was truly inspirational. Love it. Absolutely amazing.

  • cheesy but very nice. i finished my first semester of nursing today and im so happy, but sad to know some friends didnt make it

  • WOW!!!!!!!! crying right now, I am going through the same thing, failed and trying to get back in, you are such a inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing.

  • This video was Nurse Stephen Un-Cut...I have tears in my eyes, seriously. I'm so proud of you! I undertand the struggles, as I have to put in extra hours, more than others to get it, and I have some test anxiety. However, I've learned how to deal with both (becaause you can) and I want those degrees you have. Hey, what are you doing in 3 years? Wanna' come to my graduation? hahaha Excellent video, loved it!

  • I almost cried over your story. It was really an inspirational one! I am a pre-nursing student from New York.

  • I can relate! My first year at Calvin College (It's 5th in the nation of Colleges whose grads go on to medical school, 8th in the nation whose grads get into med school on their first application) Was a HUGE wake up call!! My first year, freshman bio teacher was a Harvard grad. Freshman year SUCKED! I was SO close to giving up too. Thank God for some amazing people in my life who convinced me otherwise. Congrats, and thanks for another great video! Bookwork is SO diff from real life, eh?!

  • @morvett1 - Thanks for your comment! Good luck in nursing school!
