  • I read about this in popsci mag

  • They have pumped in gas that is heavier than air so the foil floats on it

  • How can this happen

  • where could i get this ??

  • @Awesome4life100 I am not really sure. But if you find out let me know. I will ask and see if its something anyone can just go get somewhere.

  • Wth? e.e

  • Comment removed

  • Go mythbusters

  • Where does an average person like me, acquire said gas?

  • would it be possible to pour such a heavy gas in some very light liquid, making bubbles that go downward?

  • @horbergus Hmmmm, I would think so

  • @Casper3417 that would be awesome! you could fill a whole room of such a gas and make flying liquid!

  • I hear if you take this gas your voice goes deep and you have to hang upsidedown to get it out of your lungs.. is the second part true??

  • Intriguing lol

  • this is confirmed on mythbusters

  • this was the first youtube video i ever watched 4 years ago. :)

  • they did this on mythbusters episode "Viral Myths"

  • Jesus Christ has returned!

  • eche eso es monda ese men que es brujo?

  • Sulphur Hexafluoride is a potent infra red blocker and is therefore a more potent greenhouse gas tha carbon dioxide.

  • @Tox1415 good job its very dense and doesnt go into the upper atmosphere

  • If u listen to the background you can hear "my heart will go on (titanic)" how ironic!

  • This video will desmintierron on mythbusters and it is not water but a m as heavy as oxygen so they stay in the tank

  • @TheMrmresteban Cara de poronga caida, en el mismo título dice que se trata de una gas denso. Lean antes de comentar pelotudeces...

  • @raulsorani chupame el pene maldito!!

  • they changed the title cos they got busted

  • @juank896 Helium is less dense making your voice squeaky.. this is dense making your voice deeper... complete opposite of helium... Where did you get that info from?

  • @woodburyadpost look at mythbusters

  • @juank896 You even spelled it wrong... go back to school.

  • @woodburyadpost No he spelt it correctly. That is how it is spelt in Britain and many commonwealth countries.

  • @juank896 how is that fake?

  • @juank896 Think about Why a table lifts a tin-foil boat , then why water lifts it , then why this lifts it. (The Form of it such as a gas , solid , or liquid , does not matter). You can call it fake when you tell me how it is.

  • @juank896 you tard, its the opposite, and unlike helium in sooooo many ways

  • Wheyyy you got Mythbusted :D

  • es un gas de azufre que es mas pesado que el aire o algo asi lo presentaron en los cazadores de mitos es gas de asufre

Sulphur is a gas which is heavier than air or something like presented it the MythBusters is sulfur gas

  • es un gas de azufre que es mas pesado que el aire o algo asi lo presentaron en los cazadores de mitos.

Sulphur is a gas which is heavier than air or something like presented it the MythBusters

  • Gotta love dense gases...

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride to be exact

  • its just a certain gas like less then oxygen or nitrogen

  • Where i can get theatre air/gas?

  • That is heavy air

  • actually this gas is so dense that it can't diffuse in the air. which gas is it???

  • @Arjoonmoal sulfur hexafluoride, if im right. :D

  • @zsaneee050 thnxs

  • @Arjoonmoal i think its sulferhexid floride

  • thats no water it's a gaz

  • what? I actually thought you turned the water invisible, god damn it

  • wait, so this means we can levitate other stuff? like cars?

  • @mclmatty no

  • @woodburyadpost aw that sucks

  • @mclmatty Sure, IF we found something that's denser than a car, then sure! But gases seldom run denser than liquids or solids ^^

  • @mclmatty No seas tan pelotud@ por favor!!!

  • @raulsorani Tornillo que el hombre

  • @mclmatty Qué? Escribí bien por favor!!

  • @raulsorani no importa

  • @mclmatty What? Well I guess , but you would need a much larger tank , Sulfur Hexafluoride , a contained space , and a good amount of Air in the car. Btw , its not levitation , its invisible matter lifting a tin-foil boat.

  • @mclmatty no... cars are heavyer than the gas

  • @mclmatty Yeah, exactly like how we can float cars on water.

  • @mclmatty fuckin idiot

  • @Fiv3StarStunna no u, it was only a question...

  • Lol, what would happen if i filled a swimming pool with this stuff and tried to swim in it?

  • @GalaxyAwesome You'd "drown". Or more accurately suffocate. It does not give enough buoyancy to lift you, and it is not breathable.

On the upside you will have an awesome deep voice while down there.

  • i wander if you can use that in a pool and swim

  • es solo un gas pesado

  • is gasss

  • Where can i get some of that?!

  • that was on mythbusters!

  • mythbusters confrimed it

  • Awesome! XD

  • wtf is tht

  • its sulfer hexafluoride

  • SHES A WITCH!!!

  • I'd feel awkward if I started to scoop up something I couldn't even see.

  • damn you got on mythbusters

  • :O

    COMO SE HACE????!!!

  • might've been pure carbon-dioxide, dangerous stuff

  • you can get a similar effect with just letting some dry ice melt away at the bottom of a tank. the carbon dioxide it releases lets you float bubbles on the layer of gas at the bottom. you can also extinguish a lit candle by sticking it in the bottom, or scooping up some of the gas in a dixie cup and pouring it over a candle.

the gas won't be dense enough to float this stuff but it's still pretty cool

  • @mcrDbest1 - Read the title... Actually a dense gas... stupid troll

  • @mcrDbest1 You are really retarded. And I mean it. You arent smart at all. Go learn about physics then you will comment on this video Correctly

  • @ENDORPHINSAM its was my brother that commented with my user you fucking idiot go fuck your mothers balls and fuck your father in the ass ...do you think that this shit interests me ?????!!! COCKSUCKER

  • @mcrDbest1 hahahahah owned... go read a book

  • @mcrDbest1 lol, what a freak!

  • @mcrDbest1 you are a dumbass it's sulfur hexafluoride which is a gas retard

  • @MrDip02 do cant go and say retards to all only because your father is a fuckin retard...

  • @mcrDbest1 I don't really care what you say you just sounded like a retarded as well your grammar is horrible i'm surprised you even can remotely call others retarded when you clearly don't know proper grammar yourself.

  • @MrDip02 go fuck your self nerdy

  • @mcrDbest1 i'm not even that smart at least i'm not retarded like yourself every here thinks your this retarded dysfunctional child so don't be talking 'im just going to block you because you are probably to start an argument and i would not like to argue with a retard.

  • haha i knr xD

that would be cool to try it :D

but my voice is gonna get so low if i swallow it LOL :P Helium is bad enough xD

  • LOL! haha xD

    that is awesome!

btw what gas did u use? o-0

    something like sulfur hexafloride? xD

cause isnt that the thing that makes ur voice low..... idk :3

  • yeah i think so because it is the heaviest gas, is it? whatever gas is the heaviest, they used

  • @LisaSanxD - yes you are correct.

  • @LisaSanxD Yes... and Yes...

  • @LisaSanxD

oh yeah , you dont know, like you didnt just watch the mythbusters one and then search for invisible water, because like thats not how I found this , lol , like IDK

  • whats with this guy who gave poor comments to whoever included the word "mythbusters" ? yeah i said it! M_Y_T_H_B_U_S_T_E_R_S!!!! AND I LOVE THE SHOW!

  • This is some type of gas. Has been on Mythbusters.

  • its sulfer hexafloride

  • WATER? not. Some heavy gas, yes.

  • sulpher hexafloride

  • its on mythbusters right now

  • it is like the complete opposite of helium, well not complete but if you breathe it in it makes your voice deep

  • @MrTraiSodomy It's also 6 times as dense as air, and helium is 1/6 as dense.

  • lololol its not invisible water, its a dense gas. (aka sulfur hexafluoride) you can do the same thing with liquids, get a bunch of oil and a bunch of water and you can float boats inbetween them.

  • lolz its on right now on discovery

  • I just watched mythbusters. Bah, I wish I watched this first :C

  • this was on mythbusters.

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride is not toxic. It is much denser than air and has the opposite effect of helium if it is inhaled. The only complication would be filling the lungs with this gas. If you do a headstand and breathe for awhile, you should be able to remove it from your lungs.

  • Lol its gas thats hevier then air.. couldent be helium moron.

  • mhm its sulfur hexaflouride ... very heavy but not toxic, if you inhale it you've a deep voice^^

  • it is toxic

  • if you inhale it, you could get an asphyxia because the heavy gas stays in youtr lungs, but i don't think its toxic.

  • (to thatstek): Sulfur hexafluoride is basically reversed Helium, you are right.

(to Scorge120): I think you got the wrong message with thatstek's idea.

Yes, I did see Mythbusters. The Viral Episode is my fave, mostly because of the Creamer Cannon of Death. ^_^

  • watching it right now haha

  • mythbusters

  • Comment removed

  • Its SF6, Sulfur hexafluoride. Basically helium reversed.

  • its gas thats heavyer than air watch mythbusters anyone?

  • sweet bro

  • u were on mythbusers kool

  • its Sulfur Hexafluoride. ;)

  • confirmed by mythbusters

  • Lol kind of late.

But anyway, have you seen it on TV? with the Mythbusters? Because I did and it looks like you just want to have a go at someone.

  • you said busted, That is inncorrect. They confirmed it.

busted implies the video is fake, which gives youtuber's the wrong idea.

Just trying to bring some truth into this realm of deceit, sex and lies. ;)

  • Weird, I remember them saying busted and that they played with a nice set of strings. Maybe they redid that myth.

  • @darkf1re ITS SCIENTIFIC!

  • magnetic levitation

  • tin foil is not fucking magnetic its sulfur hexafluoride gas 5 times heavyer than air

  • DRINK EET!!!!!! :P

  • Heavier-than air gas. It also has to be "warm" in its gaseous state, since there is no visible water condensation. It's like when people float bowling balls in mercury. It's all about density...

  • no... The culprit is SH6...

  • what was in the glass to make the foil float

  • WAHT TIPE OF AIR DDID YOU USE

  • sulfur hexaflouride

  • It's sulfur hexafluoride you morons

  • obviously.

  • LOL!!!

  • its definiteley not helium, more than likely it is one of the heavier gases like Xenon or Krypton or even maybe Argon

  • its not helium its an open container so i it waas helium the gas would escape i hav no idea wat it is though

  • You're right its probably carbon dioxide but who knows, but its not helium... helium is too light

  • Helium? Lol that's the stupidest thing I've read all day XD

    Try something heavier.

  • @Scorge120 they could use your mom but she wouldn't fit in the glass box and she is far from invisible.

  • its gas not water

  • Also pretty dangerous. Given off by decomposing organic matter. Common cause of death with people in confined spaces

  • i dont even think its dense air lol

    stringz!

  • it's hexaflouride - F6

  • i not water is some kind of gas i saw in on mith busters

  • thats not invisible water! ITS DENSE AIR! my science teacher, mr. hamon, showed everyone in class that. duh!

  • Nice!

  • uber doch noch

  • i agree

  • if it's sulphur hexafluoride there won't be mistake because of its horrendous smell. if that much was used in an open-air setting you'd probably be looking at people vomiting/passing out

  • Wiki says it's an odorless gas, but it's wiki so......

  • sulpher hexaflouride doesn't have a distinct scent. it's like "smelling" propane. any chemist will tell you that propane has no scent, but there are other chemicals in commercial propane to give it a scent as to distinguish whether or not there is a gas leak. just because the compound contains sulpher does not mean it smells like sulpher.

  • Is the sulpher hexafluoride dangerous to inhale? I know that helium isn't dangerous, and it makes your voice alot higher, and the sulpher hexafluoride makes your voice darker..

(BTW: Anyone knows where I can get it?)

  • helium is dangerous in large quantities because it removes air from your lungs. if you inhale a few balloons worth of helium in sequence, you WILL PASS OUT. this is the same for any other substance which dilutes oxygen from your bronchi. sulpher flouride, in small doses, is safe in inhale as per thousands of demonstrations in chemistry classes across the U.S. As to obtaining it, use some search engines ; )

  • I've personally done this before at school. It is a dense gas which allows correctly shaped objects to "float on it".You can even see them pump the gas in at the beginning. I do not recall the name of the gas that we used. Also, dense gases such these have the opposite effect of inhalation than that of helium. Helium increases the pitch of your voice by allowing sound waves to travell faster through in than air. But, dense gases slow down sound waves decreasing the pitch of your voice.

  • what does this have to do with falling and rising gasses?

  • Dense gases fall i.e stay in the container they are using. I think the gas may have been zeon if that is how you spell it.

  • i don't believe it was xenon considering the only way to obtain elemental xenon is from liquid air. sulpher hexafluoride is a more likely compound due to it's realtively safe use (no more dangerous than helium) and several uses in a classroom environment. it's heavier than air. it is about the same density as water (slightly less dense) so when more gas is poured into the "boat" it sinks. it also does the opposite to your voice as helium. hope this helps.

  • Ah it's spelled xenon, i've only heard it in passing due to only being 16. I was going to tell people it wouldn't be entierly safe to inhale any xenon if they were to stumble upon some lol but my comment was too long. " "boat" " lol

  • xenon is also verry expensivee

  • Fucking see through wires dude! =D

  • read some books eh?

  • aluminum has no magnetic properties. the only explanation i can think of is that is was propane. Propane unlike other gas and fumes stays down. it doesnt disipate. It just flows where the wind caries it. And cause it is in a container is just stays there not going n e where. like dry ice falls, propane falls.

  • butane fuel could be another gas that could do this. butane also falls and drops like propane.

  • its tinfoil and there is a magnet under it....... >.>

  • no, i've seen this before. its a mixture of something

  • tin foil would be far too heavy. I presume it's made of mylar

  • they are going to test that on mythbusters so i will soon find out!!!!!!

  • kkk

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I have a strong feeling it's the container which I believe is made of plexi-glass. (sorry if I spelled it wrong) See, I don't have any scientific reasons and what not, but I know plexi-glass is almost invisible to the naked eye under water, so, why wouldn't it work vise-versa?

  • you are wrong.

  • its sulphur hexaflouride

  • how do you make it
