@ControltheDistance I cannot find stuff on Google of Pintubi 1 so it must be under another name. I would not be surprised if Denisovan people in fact were Homo Erectus by origin. I wonder if Aboriginies met Neanderthals all that much as the Aboriginies knew boats. I don't think Neanderthals were found in Arabia much and the Neanderthals only were in a small length of the Indian Ocean Coast at the Arabian Sea.
Non sequitur, but one thing I hate in these shows, and in a lot of historical/anthropological studies is how they try to perpetuate this myth that humans worldwide have been the same for the last 70k years. This is politically correct BULLSHIT. Man is in a constant state of evolution. We (modern Europeans) differ as much from cromagnon men as dogs from wolves, if not more so. We are essentially a more social domesticated version, which goes back to my theory on the brutality of ancient man.
We are evolving, but 70,000 years is not too much time. A Cro Magnon brought to our time would still learn our language, math, and computers; he might even tell us we are not all that impressive a people.
He probably would. I'm not saying we're better. Evolution is blind. Like I said, since the developement of agriculture we've essentially become a selfdomesticated version of Cromagnons, which isn't necessarily a good thing at all. We're weaker, have smaller brains to body mass. Brain structure seems to have changed aswell-larger prefrontal cortex, but visuo spatial and motor areas have withered away to an extent. I dread to think what we'll be like in 20K years time.
There are people who think that the Archaics found in Africa are not actually "Homo Erectus" but just people who simply resembled them; and that Asian H. Erectus was the descendant of an incredibly older (2,000,000 MYA?) migration from Africa. If so, you may be right; humans might have seen H.Erectus as not "People" just as in this movie; it shows humans and H. Erectus as being irrevocably apart and one or the other fated to extinction.
If anatomically modern humans came across homo erectus(which were far more primitive than displayed here, their reaction would have been one of open revulsion. They would have seen them as subhuman/beastmen.Any kind of cooperation would have been out of the question."Ooh lets mix our tribes and teach them everything we know."NO.Mixing would mean genetic annilhilation. Basic animal instinct dictates that you dont mix with the sick. They would been killed/driven away.Which is why they are extinct.
@gunninlinguist There likely would have been a few Neanderthals or H. Erectus who were adaptable enough to be absorbed. Some Neanderthals were, certainly, based on DNA evidence. This would be likely if humans enslaved the children of these kinds of people. Socialization might have been easier for kids than adults.
Well neanderthal lineage occurs on the male side, had they forcibly absorbed it would have probably been on the female side. I doubt there would have been any attempt to absorb or cooperate with homo erectus at all they were scarcely the same species. The idea of slavery is interesting, probably wouldnt have been much as it was less useful in hunter gatherer societies...
@gunninlinguist Remember that Homo Sapien's evolution is partly driven toward aquisition of beautiful females. That might explain why there is no Neanderthal mitochondrial DNA as human males did not like the looks of Neanderthal women, but with Neanderthal males and human women this was less critical. A Neanderthal male if taught human culture would for instance have been very valuable in a fight at close quarters.
@gunninlinguist I think that some Neanderthals might have held out longer than 24,000 years ago in places in Europe. That is because legends of trolls, leprachauns, monsters, "ape-men" like the Almas of Mongolia, and such seem to indicate that there were people like that maybe only a few thousand years ago. I agree that Homo erectus might have been way too different, but if H. Sapiens came from H. Erectus stock (see next comment)
@gunninlinguist ...then on their evolutionary sidebranch Neanderthals may have been just as different. I agree that if H. Erectus was truly onl;y found in Asia that it is less likely that H. Erectus interbred with modern humans as there would have been maybe 2,000,000 years of separation between the two stocks, and with Neanderthals it was only about 500,000 years. Chimps separated from humans about 6,000,000 years ago; look at the differences there.
@zogrush they were too primitive, as in they would have similar intelligence as a present day ...retard. A modern human would not find them attractive on a natural basis, even if one such mating occurs, the subsequentgenerations will not make it through
Xenophobia, the us vs them instinct, reacting with most severity to that which is you but not quite you, slay that which is neither man nor beast, the origins of myths of unhuman creatures, the mechanism by which mankind could build itself upon the bones of its ancestors.
Neanderthals disappeared in a short timeframe after contact with cromagnons. There is a growing body of evidence of lethal enounters with the cromagnons. Is it possible that cromagnons actively slaughtered and forcefully wiped out the neaderthals? Most wouldn't like to think so, but to me, such violence would be intrinsic to human nature.
Its true that nature itself would play a large role in mans evolution, but intertribal warfare was most probably a constant throughout human evolution from australopithecus to ourselves. Evolution was probably quite uneven so often migrating tribes would find themselves coming across relavtives of barely the same species. One must ask what happened to the remaining relics of homo erectus astrapithecus, h habilis etc. Nothing other than man could have wiped out such adaptable animals.
It would seem possible to me that humanity has achieved some of its evolution through racial genocide. My hypothesis is that interlinked into the human mentality is the urge to eliminate the most primitive of its own species. I can envision homo sapiens coming across pockets of surviving homo erectus, and reacting with disgust at this inferior more primitive relative. No mercy would be shown in those harsh times, no benefit in any action other than immediate violence and extermination.
@gunninlinguist you are obviously basing this on something else.. erectus was wiped off in thousands and thousands of years, humans didnt just go batshit insane in a day and killed them off like present day genocides. We would have advanced gradually, and they would have been pushed back into a more and more primitive state with no room for advancement. Also, 2 species cannot occupy the same niche and survive, thats a scientific principle. the key is "SPECIES".
I never said humans systematically wiped out h erectus or killed them off in a day, please dont try to simplify what Im trying to say. And no I wrote this before I started to watch this sentimental dramatisation. I believe that throughout hominid evolution, the reaction of one group to another differing tribal a& racial/species group would be one of perpetual open aggression.
For example, Neanderthals disappeared in a suspiciously short timeframe of contact with cromagnon man. We have evidence of fairly widespread attacks on Neanderthals by humans. Disease, being driven away and outcompeted would have also played a part. Either way I doubt humans & prehumans were any more altruistic further back in history. More than likely even more brutal and racial/specieist/tribalistic. I dont see the need to sugarcoat our history or deny our animal roots.
Fantástic ! There is no taxonomic significance between humans living in different parts of the world. Though there might have been intermingling between homo sapiens and Neanderthals and Denisovans it doesnt make a significant difference. We are all children of Africa, there are no subspecies in humans. Dont be a racist be a humanist... Jorge Moraes- Maranhão- Brasil
@pugilist102 No im not, I dont have the knowledge to know for a fact they had a concept like " we are better as a people than that species or people" Its just not something Im convnced of. Clearly you ve done the research in the field by your response o feel free to enlighten.
@HorrorMovieReviewGuy No research needed...just look at how we treat each other. Only in a modern world do we not see as much racism and prejudice. If 19th century man can look down upon his own species and enslave them...how can you expect better of man 32,000 years ago? If you look at human nature, especially the 'primitive' aspects of it, then you will see why I thought you were kidding.
@pugilist102 So basically we are racist now so we were racist then.... thats the weakest possible point. Im not even sayig thats not true, I just find it hard to believe that concept was developed to the point where the dialogue from this makes sense. think of it. " they are anmals" yet they are recognized as beings of similarity. Its just a bit of a stretch and this dramatized video just glosses over that and I think its vital to the episode and poorly explained.
@HorrorMovieReviewGuy We are nice and civilized because we are well fed and comfortable. The moment resources become scarce, we will revert back to our primitive selves and kill each other for those limited resources. Survival of the fittest is the law of the land. Humans are killing each other now for limited resources...you don't think they wouldn't hesitate to kill a subhuman? What is so hard to believe?
Silly PC documentary makers, at no point in time did any group resembling today's black Africans (i.e. sub-Saharan negroids/congoids) emigrate from Africa. Black Africans are as recent an evolutionary development as Europeans, East Asians, etc. They have all evolved from a primeval Homo Sapiens that continued to evolve separately on each new continent,
@eIectrostatic And not only that, but there is also solid evidence of our ancestors intermingling with local archaic humanoid populations after the split/separation (Neanderthals in Eurasia, Denisovans in East Asia, various unnamed archaic populations in sub-Saharan Africa, etc). Only after all this did we get our final appearance.
@eIectrostatic There is no taxonomic significance between humans living in different parts of the world. Though there might have been intermingling between homo sapiens and Neanderthals and Denisovans it doesnt make a significant difference. We are all children of Africa, there are no subspecies in humans. Dont be a racist be a humanist.
Btw guys to most recent studies showed that the homo erectus interbread with neandertals hence why some people have neandertal features (the eggsaturated eyebrow riges). Ignore my poor grammar its 3 am.
@RyanDemaree I don't know... to each their own I guess. I would say the smartest one is the coolest. Their brains were indeed bigger but they were not as intelligent as modern man.
@RyanDemaree That's true. People are now beginning to understand that they are much smarter and less brutish than what was once commonly thought. I highly doubt they were as capable as modern man though. Their tools and tactics were not nearly as advanced. After all, there is a reason why they went extinct and we did not.
@cellphonemanual We cant be 100% sure they went extinct because of us. Plague and illness may have played a factor, along with climate change and our arrival.
There are various factors that could be the cause.
They were certainly different, but I cant say with definate certainty that we were 100% smarter than them. It would have been interesting to see their genes live on a little more than they did in order to see what they were capable of, mainly due to how closley related
@RyanDemaree We can't be 100% sure, but based on the fact that they went extinct very soon after we arrived in their habitat scientists agree it's almost a certainty that we had something to do with it. They lived much, much longer than us as a species, I guess you're right they were very successful, but we have lived for a much shorter time and developed this technology. There really can be no doubt that we as a species are much more advanced and intelligent than the extinct Neanderthals.
@RyanDemaree You have to keep in mind that brain size is not everything. Homo floresiensis had a relatively tiny brain, smaller than a chimp. Yet they made surprisingly complex tools. Neanderthals were big in general, muscles especially.
@cellphonemanual I cant seem to find the comment I was facetiously replying to. Any matter, perhaps I clicked yours by mistake. A few down theres a comment by the guy you were talking to, HE said, 'We can never know for sure' That sounds like what I would have replied to, so maybe it was meant for him. Again, No matter, I still have some fascinating things on my page, especially my background pic that toss a wrench it 'we can never know for sure' kinda talk. Cheers.
But yes actually, I am british by ancestry lol my mother and grandparents were born in England and my fathers family is pretty much all Welsh/ Scottish ancestry.
Im a first generation american and as british as can be by ancestry
But what relevance does that have in accordance to this video?
"ajesusfreak"? What are you, jewish?
or a moronic white american who doesnt know his own damn european ancestry and culture?
@RyanDemaree Cool. Hahaha! Jewish?! Why, are you? Actually, I'm a moronic Irish, British, German, Finnish, Swedish American who knows pretty darn well were I came from! How do you know my ancestors weren't Christian? Do I care?
@RyanDemaree My God is not a fairy tale (or "fable", whatever). I'm not worshipping the guy with a magic hammer! And at least my "imaginary friend" isn't a monkey! Honestly, what goes through the evolutionist's mind when he views a monkey? Like, "Wow, we have come SO far." Um.....no. haha, what do you know of my ancestry, pal?
@ajesusfreak1 Well, I know youre European and that Europeans didnt accept the christ fable until it was widespread through violence by religious, power hungry, brainless morons.
Did you know that Christians used to believe that the earth was flat and at the center of the universe and punished ppl like Galileo and Copernicus for their love of astronomy and the true nature of how the solar system works?
@RyanDemaree Haha, I'm mostly Scandinavian, not European. Most Scandinavians (like the Vikings) DID actually worship Thor, and gods of the earth, sun and moon.
catholics thought the earth was flat, and that we were the center of the universe. Martin Luther (aka founder of the Lutheran church) rebelled against that teaching (95 theses on the church door). Galileo also rebelled against the catholics and wasn't praised for his (Christian - creationist- work, no less) until after his death.
@ajesusfreak1 if it were up to christians we would all still have slaves and believe the earth was flat and that "praying" cures illnesses lol
...you havent the slightest idea of evolution or natural selection, so why speak on it?
I have read the bible and even went to a christian school when I was younger. I know your side, you dont know mine. You just believe the bullshit your money hungry leaders like Kent Hovind and Pat Robertson shove down your throat.
@RyanDemaree I know your side, very well. EVERYone is born a sinner, ultimately an atheist - you think I don't know that? I'm far from perfect, and struggle with temptations of this world every day. But God helps me through it. I don't need a perfect life on earth for a measly 80 or so years, but eternity...oh yeah. Ken Ham - he wrote the AIG books, and many more. You should read them if you haven't already.
@RyanDemaree Of COURSE I know evolution teaches that (to some extent). Explain this: why do men have facial hair, and women do not? Why are we virtually hairless (without the coarse hair like on our heads)? How does something come from nothing? It's never been observed. If we started out as fish (like some - but not all - evolutionists teach)....why are there still fish alive today - why didn't they evolve too? How come humans worship things - have religion, while a cat is wired with instincts?
@ajesusfreak1 ..life began in water and then took to land smart one.
Thats a fact of evolution. Water was the driving force of life, still is.
LOL fish did evolve you jackass, just not in the same direction that we did. Thats like saying "why are we the only highly intelligent ape" its just the path we took through natural selection.
humans are wired with extincts as well, but we are intelligent enough to create fables and decorations like religion and art.
@RyanDemaree Yes, but before that? BANG! A cell. Doesn't exactly sound scientific, does it? You make no sense....all you're doing is calling me names in response.
@RyanDemaree Explain bi-pedalism - and why we evolved to it, when clearly, having 4 running legs is faster. (example; a horse is WAY faster than us) Didn't we need food? It seems like a disadvantage. Why were we the only "animals" that evolved speech, "thinking outside the shell" and rationalizing things? If we mix a lion with a tiger (a lyger), or a horse with a donkey (a mule) why is it usually infertile? That's within the same species, yet can't mate on it's own. It can't mate another species
@ajesusfreak1 it has been speculated that bi-pedalism is more an energy saving thing that led to higher reproduction/ birth rates, moving on all 4s takes more energy, we now use a majority of our energy on our big brains.
lol we developed speech, yes...look at our large brains. Enough said.
lol the genes are too different to continually reproduce. Simple as that
@RyanDemaree So we "decided" to evolve?? Haha! Okay, I hate my nose....please evolve! Please evolve into a better one! What? That makes no sense. You can't physically change your own genes, and somehow create for yourself "longer lasting energy" just because you want to. It doesn't work that way. If we really are just another animal, then why are there still animals around today, when you think about it. If we are the highest evolved animal, there should be no animals left - they are us.
However, artificial selection can provide your lineage a more "fitting" nose by your definition if you wish by choosing your mates carefully and/or tampering with the genetics in a lab.
Natural selection is different, it is all about adaptation and survival in the environment. We developed bi-pedalism to conserve more energy, also one of the reason we lost alot of our hair.
@ajesusfreak1 instead of bumbling around on all 4s and hairy, we can now move freely on 2 limbs with less hair to cause more sweating.
"highest evolved" lol evolution isnt linear, pal, evolution is natural selection and adaptation to the environment. We are simply the product of highly adaptable apes that mastered all environments slowly.
religion has bias agenda, science is the unbias, factual search for truth, it by definition cant be "wrong" it can only find new things and update itself over time.
@RyanDemaree "Update yourself"...to your ever-changing, fallible cursed world. That's depressing. But now with Jesus, as my solid rock, unchanging and perfect, it begins to make sense! There is a God who is greater than us, made us, yet loves us even though we rebelled. Our sinful nature is the devil's way of pulling us out of God's hands. God loves us, and wants the best for us. Even you. ;D
@RyanDemaree God created us in His own image. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against science - true, unbiased science that is. I love the study of our beautiful earth just as much as the next person. But when we start to worship science, and base our ideas off of it, it goes too far. It tears us away from our loving, almighty, heavenly father.
@academygirls111 Sometimes African H. erectus is considered distinct from the eurasian varieties. The skulls definitely look distinct from Asian H. erectus. Whether they should be considered a separate species (H. ergaster) is debatable, but it isn't necessarily incorrect to say that H. erectus evolved in Asia. Of course, if you say that erectus evolved in Asia, you probably shouldn't follow that by talking about African erectus. The show wasn't clear on which theory it followed.
@ControltheDistance I think that some H. Erectus in Asia was absorbed into Homo Sapiens. There must have been some interbreeding. The Australian Aborignies came along the coast, they knew boats; they likely had little contact with Neanderthals, and their ancestors had smooth skulls. But some Aboriginies look rather archaic, so there was I think interbreeding with H. Erectus. See next post.
@Albacorewing I happen to agree with you. Are you familiar with pintupi 1? That is the single most robust H. sapiens skull ever. Excluding all of the other Australian skulls, of course. A number of early Australian skulls (Kow Swamp specimens, among others) disputably show extremely archaic characteristics. Recently, though, I've wondered if this could be explained by the fact that they're approximately 1-4% neanderthal (like almost everyone else) in addition to around 5% denisovan.
Islam and Hinduism are both lies, and yet, you people are fighting and killing each other trying to prove what is the best lie... are you also in with this drama?
Why? are you people about to annihilate each other now so that you can then prove once and for all what the real lies are and what the real truth is?
Trying to settle things through violence will get you people nowhere..

We are essentially a more social domesticated version, which goes back to my theory on the brutality of ancient man.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist
We are evolving, but 70,000 years is not too much time. A Cro Magnon brought to our time would still learn our language, math, and computers; he might even tell us we are not all that impressive a people.
Albacorewing 1 week ago
@Albacorewing
I dread to think what we'll be like in 20K years time.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist
Albacorewing 1 week ago
If anatomically modern humans came across homo erectus(which were far more primitive than displayed here, their reaction would have been one of open revulsion. They would have seen them as subhuman/beastmen.Any kind of cooperation would have been out of the question."Ooh lets mix our tribes and teach them everything we know."NO.Mixing would mean genetic annilhilation. Basic animal instinct dictates that you dont mix with the sick. They would been killed/driven away.Which is why they are extinct.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist There likely would have been a few Neanderthals or H. Erectus who were adaptable enough to be absorbed. Some Neanderthals were, certainly, based on DNA evidence. This would be likely if humans enslaved the children of these kinds of people. Socialization might have been easier for kids than adults.
Albacorewing 1 week ago
@Albacorewing
Well neanderthal lineage occurs on the male side, had they forcibly absorbed it would have probably been on the female side. I doubt there would have been any attempt to absorb or cooperate with homo erectus at all they were scarcely the same species. The idea of slavery is interesting, probably wouldnt have been much as it was less useful in hunter gatherer societies...
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist Remember that Homo Sapien's evolution is partly driven toward aquisition of beautiful females. That might explain why there is no Neanderthal mitochondrial DNA as human males did not like the looks of Neanderthal women, but with Neanderthal males and human women this was less critical. A Neanderthal male if taught human culture would for instance have been very valuable in a fight at close quarters.
Albacorewing 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist I think that some Neanderthals might have held out longer than 24,000 years ago in places in Europe. That is because legends of trolls, leprachauns, monsters, "ape-men" like the Almas of Mongolia, and such seem to indicate that there were people like that maybe only a few thousand years ago. I agree that Homo erectus might have been way too different, but if H. Sapiens came from H. Erectus stock (see next comment)
Albacorewing 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist ...then on their evolutionary sidebranch Neanderthals may have been just as different. I agree that if H. Erectus was truly onl;y found in Asia that it is less likely that H. Erectus interbred with modern humans as there would have been maybe 2,000,000 years of separation between the two stocks, and with Neanderthals it was only about 500,000 years. Chimps separated from humans about 6,000,000 years ago; look at the differences there.

Neanderthals disappeared in a short timeframe after contact with cromagnons. There is a growing body of evidence of lethal enounters with the cromagnons. Is it possible that cromagnons actively slaughtered and forcefully wiped out the neaderthals? Most wouldn't like to think so, but to me, such violence would be intrinsic to human nature.

gunninlinguist 1 week ago
Its true that nature itself would play a large role in mans evolution, but intertribal warfare was most probably a constant throughout human evolution from australopithecus to ourselves. Evolution was probably quite uneven so often migrating tribes would find themselves coming across relavtives of barely the same species. One must ask what happened to the remaining relics of homo erectus astrapithecus, h habilis etc. Nothing other than man could have wiped out such adaptable animals.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
It would seem possible to me that humanity has achieved some of its evolution through racial genocide. My hypothesis is that interlinked into the human mentality is the urge to eliminate the most primitive of its own species. I can envision homo sapiens coming across pockets of surviving homo erectus, and reacting with disgust at this inferior more primitive relative. No mercy would be shown in those harsh times, no benefit in any action other than immediate violence and extermination.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@gunninlinguist you are obviously basing this on something else.. erectus was wiped off in thousands and thousands of years, humans didnt just go batshit insane in a day and killed them off like present day genocides. We would have advanced gradually, and they would have been pushed back into a more and more primitive state with no room for advancement. Also, 2 species cannot occupy the same niche and survive, thats a scientific principle. the key is "SPECIES".
princeofiron 1 week ago
@princeofiron
I never said humans systematically wiped out h erectus or killed them off in a day, please dont try to simplify what Im trying to say. And no I wrote this before I started to watch this sentimental dramatisation. I believe that throughout hominid evolution, the reaction of one group to another differing tribal a& racial/species group would be one of perpetual open aggression.
gunninlinguist 1 week ago
@princeofiron

@HorrorMovieReviewGuy No research needed...just look at how we treat each other. Only in a modern world do we not see as much racism and prejudice. If you look at human nature, especially the 'primitive' aspects of it, then you will see why I thought you were kidding.

Silly PC documentary makers, at no point in time did any group resembling today's black Africans (i.e. sub-Saharan negroids/congoids) emigrate from Africa. Black Africans are as recent an evolutionary development as Europeans, East Asians, etc. They have all evolved from a primeval Homo Sapiens that continued to evolve separately on each new continent,
eIectrostatic 4 weeks ago
@eIectrostatic And not only that, but there is also solid evidence of our ancestors intermingling with local archaic humanoid populations after the split/separation (Neanderthals in Eurasia, Denisovans in East Asia, various unnamed archaic populations in sub-Saharan Africa, etc). Only after all this did we get our final appearance.

RyanDemaree 1 month ago
@RyanDemaree That's true. People are now beginning to understand that they are much smarter and less brutish than what was once commonly thought. I highly doubt they were as capable as modern man though. Their tools and tactics were not nearly as advanced. After all, there is a reason why they went extinct and we did not.
cellphonemanual 1 month ago
@cellphonemanual We cant be 100% sure they went extinct because of us. Plague and illness may have played a factor, along with climate change and our arrival.
There are various factors that could be the cause.
They were certainly different, but I cant say with definate certainty that we were 100% smarter than them. It would have been interesting to see their genes live on a little more than they did in order to see what they were capable of, mainly due to how closley related
RyanDemaree 1 month ago
@RyanDemaree We can't be 100% sure, but based on the fact that they went extinct very soon after we arrived in their habitat scientists agree it's almost a certainty that we had something to do with it. They lived much, much longer than us as a species, I guess you're right they were very successful, but we have lived for a much shorter time and developed this technology. There really can be no doubt that we as a species are much more advanced and intelligent than the extinct Neanderthals.
cellphonemanual 1 month ago
@cellphonemanual The climate also drastically arund that time period.
Well us creating all of this technology might just be due to our huge opulation increase.

They did however create art and were very similar genetically.
Their huge brains is something that interests me most

RyanDemaree 2 weeks ago
@RyanDemaree Haha, I'm mostly Scandinavian, not European. Most Scandinavians (like the Vikings) DID actually worship Thor, and gods of the earth, sun and moon.
catholics thought the earth was flat, and that we were the center of the universe. Martin Luther (aka founder of the Lutheran church) rebelled against that teaching (95 theses on the church door). Galileo also rebelled against the catholics and wasn't praised for his (Christian - creationist- work, no less) until after his death.

@ajesusfreak1 btw smart one, we didnt evolve from monkeys, we still ARE monkeys
Modern apes are our cousins, we share a common ancestor with them.
but you wouldnt know that, would you?
RyanDemaree 2 weeks ago
@RyanDemaree Of COURSE I know evolution teaches that (to some extent). Explain this: why do men have facial hair, and women do not? Why are we virtually hairless (without the coarse hair like on our heads)? How does something come from nothing? It's never been observed. If we started out as fish (like some - but not all - evolutionists teach)....why are there still fish alive today - why didn't they evolve too? How come humans worship things - have religion, while a cat is wired with instincts?
ajesusfreak1 2 weeks ago
@ajesusfreak1 ..life began in water and then took to land smart one.
Thats a fact of evolution. Water was the driving force of life, still is.
LOL fish did evolve you jackass, just not in the same direction that we did. Thats like saying "why are we the only highly intelligent ape" its just the path we took through natural selection.
humans are wired with extincts as well, but we are intelligent enough to create fables and decorations like religion and art.

ajesusfreak1 2 weeks ago
@RyanDemaree Explain bi-pedalism - and why we evolved to it, when clearly, having 4 running legs is faster. (example; a horse is WAY faster than us) Didn't we need food? It seems like a disadvantage. Why were we the only "animals" that evolved speech, "thinking outside the shell" and rationalizing things? If we mix a lion with a tiger (a lyger), or a horse with a donkey (a mule) why is it usually infertile? That's within the same species, yet can't mate on it's own. It can't mate another species
ajesusfreak1 2 weeks ago
@ajesusfreak1 it has been speculated that bi-pedalism is more an energy saving thing that led to higher reproduction/ birth rates, moving on all 4s takes more energy, we now use a majority of our energy on our big brains.
lol we developed speech, yes...look at our large brains. Enough said.
lol the genes are too different to continually reproduce. Simple as that
RyanDemaree 2 weeks ago
@RyanDemaree So we "decided" to evolve?? Haha! Okay, I hate my nose....please evolve! Please evolve into a better one! What? That makes no sense. You can't physically change your own genes, and somehow create for yourself "longer lasting energy" just because you want to. It doesn't work that way. If we really are just another animal, then why are there still animals around today, when you think about it. If we are the highest evolved animal, there should be no animals left - they are us.
ajesusfreak1 2 weeks ago
@ajesusfreak1 lol the ignorance is astounding
evolution doesnt work like that.
RyanDemaree 2 weeks ago
@ajesusfreak1 instead of bumbling around on all 4s and hairy, we can now move freely on 2 limbs with less hair to cause more sweating.
"highest evolved" lol evolution isnt linear, pal, evolution is natural selection and adaptation to the environment. We are simply the product of highly adaptable apes that mastered all environments slowly.

Even you. ;D

Albacorewing 2 weeks ago
@Albacorewing I happen to agree with you. Are you familiar with pintupi 1? That is the single most robust H. sapiens skull ever. Excluding all of the other Australian skulls, of course. A number of early Australian skulls (Kow Swamp specimens, among others) disputably show extremely archaic characteristics. Recently, though, I've wondered if this could be explained by the fact that they're approximately 1-4% neanderthal (like almost everyone else) in addition to around 5% denisovan.
