@DOMINICANINC, honestly, I'm not sure exactly how much the Italian Derby purse is exactly? But there must be some money involved with it, I would think. Because Godolphin sent Mastery to it, and he won the Italian Derby in 2009. Obviously, Mastery is probably not the greatest horse that Godolphin owns. But he's certainly considered on their top tear I would think. After beating his better fancied stablemate, Kite Wood, in the Ladbrokes St. Leger, and running a good 5th in the Dubai World Cup.
