I've owned 5 of those bastards. The engines are so fickle, but WOW are they fun when they're tuned and behaving. It's a unique motor with an unmatched sound, very versatile and dynamic: loads of power all the way to the redline, and forgiving if you dip past it a little ;)
guys ur liking an engine it cost 23 000 $ hehe not funny fully built with ITB i wanted 1 for my car 1984 gtv6 maratona but u have rebuilt the engine after every 3 races hehe
Piece of art! Alfas are pretty famous in brazil since the 60´s, when they assembled an alfa plant in here. Is good to see that some fellows in North America are paying the due respect to this italian engineering beast. Even though we have some exceptions commeting nonsense in here too.
hahaha the truck i share with my brother has 300HP STOCK! i though u was talkin about 500HP not 220... how many HP has that alfa stock? btw the truck is a ford F250 and is a fuckin sexy truck LOL thats what the girls say
@g4zzauk are you sure? the 75 was the last true Alfa ever made! now is owned by FIAT! but if all goes well they should resume to make real Alfas with the next 4c.
I was about to buy a pair of milanos, (red and black), and then some other fucker bought them, then i bought a 1974 GTV and i LOVED it. came with fuel injection, then modded it to twin Webers. 120 HP inline-4, sounds godlike mergeing on the highway. I just love alfas
theres no other car that does this beautifull sound like alfa romeo!!!realy love alfa romeo's my dad had a 33 1.5 IE i realy loved it but some stupid guy robed it an crashed it in to a police car!!!
my alfa - granted, a simple 33 - ALWAYS starts at once.
even after storing it for winter, and after more than a year of being neglected bij previous owner. (well, i dit put in a bit of gas. thought it might help ;))
i once lost my exhaust on my 1.8 alfa 155 and it was at night, I could hardly return home - the sound was so beautiful that i drove though whole Warsaw almost whole night :) until I had no more petrol left :)
Yes, indeed. The stereo on my first Alfa 75 3.0 QV broke shortly after I bought it. No problemo - through every single tunnel and under every bridge, the following steps are applied to "fix" stereo: 1. open all 4 windows 2. open sunroof 3. nail the loud pedal 4. enjoy the classic toonz!!!
Starting on the first crank is simple: correct fuel/air mix, ignition and compression. Getting older cars to start needs "special" steps few people are used to. Modern Alfas should always start first time. The wonderful thing about Alfas is the chance to buy thoroughbred Italians cheap but most have been abused. By the time we get them, they need plenty of TLC and understanding to become regular and willing partners in the drives of our lives.... ;-)
Sounds great when you rev it

American Junk...this alfa passes the F250 ripping the paint away. Ferrari and Maseratti ring any bells? They are the big brothers of Alfa.

im not american my friend, im cuban, and living in canada, not US... care about telling why im wrong, not about where im from

Ford F250 is a Japanese car from a european car maker right? So if Ford is American...

Yeah but it's not an Alfa Romeo...it's just another truck - this is an Alfa 75, with an Alfa V6 in it ;)
