  • i would kill for you guys to do a panda or t-rex hoodie. or some other funn animal hoddie :)

  • This is easily the coolest thing I've seen today. I can think of a couple of ways I'd modify it to make it a bit more personal.... But still pretty awesome.

  • Instead of notecards for the ears you can use small scraps of fabric to stuff the ears.

  • so what do you stuff the ear with if you want to be able to wash this ever?

  • @catnipp2 old tee shirt scraps.. ?

  • @catnipp2 (sorry for the spam) wire I just thought of it. .^___^ hope its helpful

  • @catnipp2 cotton?

  • should really make sleeves for it....

  • her voice sounds like a kid (:

  • I wish I knew how to sew. Forreal.

  • then u wouldnt cut off the sleeves in the beginning. youd just leave em attached.

  • hmm what if i want sleeves on my hoodie

  • Use a long sleeved t-shirt I guess.

  • use a long sleeve

  • i was wonderin' if maybe u guys could do a rabbit or panda hoodie? pleeease?? X3

  • @tomboyz151

Just do the same thing but make the ears shaped properly and change the colors... it's just a tiny improv it would be a waste to do a whole new episode for it.

  • I second that.

  • yeah i would be scared to if someone was pining some stripes to a piece of fabric on my head

  • shouldn't the hoodie also have a white belly?

  • whoa her model looked soo nervous when she was pinning the stripes on the hood

  • Haha!! You're right. She looked less than pleased. :D

  • hahaha you see how big her eyes got at 1:01?? lol =P

  • A plastic milk jug works great. it's big enough that you can cut a flat piece. You can also heat it up gently with an iron, between two pieces of fabric of course, to shape it.

  • @Larsen5678

    awesome idea man,

would love to have very pointy batman-esque ears/horns on a hoody.

    maybe i'll try it out

  • you can't wash this because the ears would get ruined because she used note cards to make it stand up... that sucks, but other wise cute. Does anyone know anything that is washable you could use instead of note card

  • what about like, a plastic sheet? from containers and such?

  • erhm... plastic? :DDD

  • interfacing would work, (if you don't know what it is, it's an iron on layer intended for that very purpose. make sure you iron it onto what you're deeming the wrong side of one side of your ear.) if you're worried you could get a heavy interfacing and even another layer of a more stiff fabric. This would also be a lot easier if you put the stripes and tail on before you attached the hood and the waistband.

  • i think u could wrap it in ducktape, like complety covering the cardboard in it.

i dunno if it would work, but yeah :P

  • you could try to use wire in the ears to hold them up...but im not sure how well that would work

  • perhaps you could cut up something tupperware =]

  • i think you can use an iron clothes hanger instead

  • Very cute

  • This would feel way too thin for a hoodie, but I guess it would be easy enough to do this process with a thicker shirt. Thanks for sharing the process! =)

  • i made this by just putting stripes on a black sweatshirt i already had. it came out awesome :D

  • I personally like my arms covered but I guess I can make those on my own...

    I must make this!

  • i love this but i'd make a kitty hoodie instead of a skunk :)

  • cuute... I kept having the urge to call it a "Skoodie" ^.^

  • Skoodie?!

My God, that's the cutest thing I've ever heard! :D

  • :D glad you think so

  • it was so cute ... she kinda sounds like a little kid ...how cute ... ^-^ ... I have to make one of these ... eventually ...

  • really cute :) even just to make a sleeveless hoodie tee :)

  • This is a pretty cute hoodie, but she should have used interfacing in the ears instead of a notecard. You can't wash paper. :/

  • Duct tape the note cards before putting them into the ears to protect them from potential water damage.

  • LOVES IT!!!

  • Ok... she's either Canadian or has at least one British parent.

  • at the front it needs a white tummy... but i like it! :]

  • Why would you want to look like a skunk? unless it was a costume, but still, I wanna be a unicorn! lol

  • Great tut. I think it would make a great t-shirt hoodie tut even if they didn't want the skunk detail.

  • i'm not the biggest fan of the ears or tail...

but yeah, they would be necessary for a costume...

  • Cute!!

  • i have a backpack that's almost identical to this...i got it at hot topic....

  • I wanted the monster one!

    :P

but my friend couldn't find it there for me.

I'm from Singapore so we don't have it.

  • this is awesome!

  • this would be a really halloween costume. you could even leave the sleeves long and add gloves for a smaller child. :)

  • Oooo! So adorable! (^_^)

  • Über cool! :D

  • This is adorable! :D

It's like making a costume for a costume party. ;)

  • soooo cute!!!!!

  • I wonder how deadly it would be if I tried to make a tiger hoodie. @_@... So hardcore.

  • so cute, I would add a white belly like some skinks have <3 but super cute!

  • I would have added a zipper, but other than that, fabulous.

  • I love your sewing machine (:

  • how do u wash it if the ears have paper in it?

  • I would rather use some stiff interfacing for the ears instead of paper. Or maybe even some stiffened felt.

  • I was gonna say steal your moms plasticwear and cut that LOL for the ear inserts.

  • I was wondering the same thing...

  • looks rele cute :)

  • Left-handed peeps for the win! xD

  • lmao 1:03 she's like "god help me"

  • don't like the neck line, but that can be fixed. i'd add a zipper and some pockets though, cause the front is kinda boring.

  • That's cute =o

Although I probably would have resized the T-shirt a little.

  • hey...that was so cute!but if that was a t-shirt,i'll try to make it!but dress is good2

  • this should have @ least won some place! like to take the place of the fringy haulter thingy! or the wrap! it should be

1st and the dress should be 2nd and the wrap should be 3rd!

  • omg horrible . the add by google was "skunk removeal?" terrible!

  • LOL cross-marketing

  • doesnt flatter her at all

thats what fashion is suppose to do

  • contest was to show ur fav design tho not wat flattered u most

  • the poor model raises her eyes in horror when the instructor starts to pin stuff down while she's still wearing the hood. lol

  • lol it made me laugh

  • Pretty cool. I'd suggest covering the notecard for the ears with tape so if they get wet they won't just get soggy and ruined.

  • Aww this looks cute~ ^^ And with minor alterings it can be turned into so many cute anime hoodies~ ^^

  • so cute!!!

  • wow I never would have thought of this. fairly easy to follow tute and awesome idea. congrats!

  • a panda would be much cuter :3

  • niceeeee :)

  • Super inventive. Great tutorial and easy pattern to edit and make your own. Great idea from bryanitous about the interfacing too.

    Awesome project.

  • haha find a head

  • The girl looks scared XD

    btw good job ^.^

Not so keen on the skunk idea....

    Maybe panda!! o_~

    <3

  • Very cool!

  • it's a really cool idea. I think that instead of using note cards for the ears... you should use iron-on interfacing. You can buy this from fabric stores or Hobby Lobby for about 1.99/yd which gives you a lot of material. If one layer of interfacing isn't enough, you can always iron on more layers to add more stiffness. This is also washable. The notecard is not washable and will be ruined in the wash.

  • This would make a cute chipmunk as well. Just switch the colours to brown and white with some spots :)

  • so cute!

  • Your make-up is too much work and the results suck!!!

    This hoodie is AWESOME!

    Had to be said.

  • Because you're a bitch.

How do I know you're a bitch? Cause I'm fuckin' smart as hell.

LOL just kidding. I was saying the make-up thing because you were mean about the hoodie, when you could have simply said "It's not something I would do."

  • Well done; it turned out cute.

  • super cute!

  • I'd make a tee hoodie, but prolly not a skunk :) Maybe something cute... like a dinosaur XD Now I'm inspired to make a lil dinosaur ahah

  • how did she not place its so cute and original and a great tutorial

  • Oh that's cute! : D

  • She's a very creative rec constructor! Great Idea and it turned out really cute

  • Great idea to play with for Halloween.

Very cute. The project was thought out well and demonstrated in a way that inspired confidence.

  • gangsters.

  • I would, it's cute!!

  • It's so cute!!!

  • - VaginaBack .

  • Not entirely convinced by the whole skunk thing but I can definitely see myself making a tee-hoodie for the early autumn

  • YAy 18th lmfao never been so early.. lmfao cute

  • the front is too plain

  • you cud make a diff animal if you wanted and you could have fat stuffed ears (using fab scraps) instead of card

  • :), te quedo muy bien, muy buena idea!!!

  • what size shirt did u use in white??????

  • how do you wash it with the card in the ear?

  • pretty neat!

only, i think that the tail is a bit ....'gimpy'

  • id like to do something else besides a skunk...like a frog or something XD

  • Her hair looked funky, I wanna do something like that.

    D:

& this video was pretty neat.

  • I love this!

  • i'm thinking about adapting this into a pikachu hoodie!

  • . . . when you wash it the notecard is going to disintegrate. Use interfacing instead . . .

  • Good point. Just use interfacing on each side of the ear and you should be good.

  • this is interesting!! I want to make one now!

  • loll cute and good directions

  • My cousin did something like that, but she just modified an old hoodie and put dinosaur spikes on the hood and back.

  • not sure why somebody would want to look like a skunk.. but good vid anyway.

  • thnx 4 posting!

  • great vid
