I wonder, could a flintlock pistol be fully loaded for long periods of time? Or do you have to put in powder into the flintlock before you need to fire?
I was wondering if you would be able to help me in figuring out wether or not the flintlock pistol I have is authentic. I have a video about it (Not the greatest mind you) that I made the day I bought it. May people tell me that it is real and I have been told that might be turkish, spanish, and mabey even North African, lol. Im just lookin to get any info I can on it. Thanx!

u can keep them loaded for long periods, infact hunting guns were usually allways loaded. Be careful with attic finds!!
