Me answering for what the government is doing? What the fuck are you rambling about? I'm not the government. Seriously dude, go waste your time on somebody who gives a shit. You're like dog shit on the bottom of my foot - annoying and lingering. Now kindly piss off. Thanks.
Sucktastic - learn to put some brain cells in gear and leave the bs name calling to the kids. What a pathetic demonstration of ignorance. Please don't bother me with anymore of your bs.
Sucktastic said - Did you just respond to a comment I made over two months ago? LOL fail. Try and keep up, buddy. This is old news.
Sucktastic - fail? The only failure here is:
1) the government's failure to not reduce taxes and the capital gains tax to businesses.
2) the government failure known as the "stimulus". Unemployment at 10% dude. What did Obama promise? Unemployment would not get above 8%. But I guess we blame that screw up by Obama on Bush as well.
That sounds a little too much like the auto industry to me. Management caved in to so many union demands that they couldn't make enough profits on their cars and needed a bailout. The union loved how things were going, right up until they went under. Good news for them... they had enough voters that our government wanted to keep happy that they were deemed "too big to fail"... bad news for us, we pay for the bailout.
You know what I would have said to Biden " You know what, why am I supposed to be nice to you, you think because you are a corrupt sleazy politician that you are entitled to my sincerity? Fuck you, you work for me! With my tax dollars, not the other way around, you work for ME!"
OMG, seriously?? This is NEWS? In a way, it's funny that this news station totally ignored the "smart ass" comment... I mean, not just ignored it but covered it completely up... Not that I'm complaining becaue I don't think it's news, but it does make me wonder... are they on that same level of thinking or is it apart of something more. lol... n e way, people should get over it.
Typical...I can't remember the last time Joe had a job! Did he ever? He's been sucking off the taxpayer's for as long as I can remember,,Warning to you out there,,Don't ask Joe for a tax cut!! don't you dare interfere with his posh lifestyle!! So the guy ask's for a tax cut!! He employe's people! Joe think's he's a smart ass?? WTF!!.Any of you loser's out there who own business's that do "not" want a tax cut?? I know obama's never had a job,,don't know about joe..
@pakee64 No, really... I agree. I don't buy his "I was just making a joke," excuse. Be a man about and it say what it is you have to and let it be that. How many of us can say we were that close to a vice president or the president for that matter, within ears reach where we can actually say ANYTHING we want so they can hear? Why waste it on an ass kiss. "Lower our Taxes" was good, but stick to your guns. Be more specific, if you can. But anyway, that's my 25 pennies.
That dumb fucking piece of shit probably voted for Obama/Biden in the premise that he actually believed these two schmucks would actually lower our taxes and give him free healthcare.
hahahahaha what a dumbass, he got what you wanted. A socialist piece of government who's pledges are to the big bankers and wallstreet, not the people of the United States.
Almost as dumb as the fucking pieces of shit who voted for McCain/Palin--but not as dumb as those who voted for Bush-Chaney; were in very deep shit ourselves because both parties are of the War Parties and beholden to Wall Street or Energy Interests and militantly and irrationally pro-Israel.
@RPenta Totally agree, both parties are like Coke and pepsi. Both parties are like a dictatorship, I tried to do a project at my school criticizing both parties and you would not believe the reaction I got, one teacher said " Some people would argue the parties are the best thing we ever had and keep us from going into chaos " . People are so dumb, sheeple.
These two political parties are fucking controlled and run by the same entity. Most idiot Americans don't even realize the Rothschild run the Fed Reserve, World Bank, and the other countless Central banks in Europe.
Why do you think Abraham Lincoln and JFK were both killed? Both wanted to do away with the interest/debt currency from the C-brank and create their own interest free money. Lincoln was successful with his greenback, JFK died b4 his.
That is the typical moronic statement to all politicians, so you can't really blame him. Everyone says 'lower our taxes'. It's the default phrase you mutter to any politician.
Its not a moronic statement, its one of pure conviction the sheeple of America have allowed America to be overtaxed, overegulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. You can blame him, we need lower taxes, instead Biden wants our tax $ to go into some drone missle fired into a Pakistani village or to powder Nancy Pelosi's face. Our gov is to large, powerful, tyrannical, interventionist, and its time we have a R3VOLUTION.
@RyanR3volution Over-regulated? Not by a long shot. It is the complete lack of regulation that led to our country's worst recession since the great depression and our worst oil spill disaster in history. Overtaxed? Taxes are at some of the lowest rates in history. Overrun by bureaucrats? I would agree with you there. Tax dollars being spent on the military is a necessary evil. Our govt is too large, I agree, but too powerful, no, tyrannical, no, and interventionist, not even close.
Ha ha, obviously you are a Keynesian economic supporter. You think we have to little regulation right? Well how is it that BP was TOLD where to drill and how much $ they would be responsible to repay by the gov? They capped their limit at 75 mil. Our taxes our a burden, and the worlds are even worse, so I am not going to pick the lesser of to evils. Tax on the military is not necessary, it leads to us being less safe and wastes $. Yes we are tyrannical, and yes we are interventionist
@RyanR3volution If Republicans had not stripped away all the regulations that were put in place after the S&L scandal, the recent recession would never have happened. The regulations that were put in place to oversee companies like Lehman Brothers, were to prevent the exact scam they were pulling. Where BP drilled is irrelevant. How they drilled is. They drilled without a working blowout preventer that should have been provided by Dick Cheney's boys at Haliburton.
You have no idea what you are talking about, the gov passed regulation that the gov could tell where they had to drill and in return the oil company had responsibility up to 75 million dollars. That is not free market principles, that is over regulation, thats the gov in bed with the company.
The mortgage crisis is the fault of the gov, they told them to lend and lend to people that did not good credit, but they were GSEs so they did not have to worry.
@mlodge87 The recent recession happened due to the Community Reinvestment Act of 1979 & its enforcement along w/Dems forcing banks per FannieMae & FreddieMac to provide loans to people who couldn't afford them. There were MORE regulations added and that is what caused the recession.
Ever hear of the Patriot act? The gov also can declare a citizen a enemy combatant and kill them. BP was because of gov regulation, if it were up to the private business, then BP would be held 100% accountable and bonds and contingencies would have been set up. How are we not interventionist when we have overthrown countless goverments, including Iran and are in no win uneeded wars fighting people who only want us out. There is nothing necessary about the war on terror.
@RyanR3volution Your babbling makes no sense. Go put on your triangle hat and make a poorly spelled and worded sign and join your brethren in making fools of yourselves.
Your a coward, go stick your head in the sand, you say that the US goverment does not interfere with other countries and is not tyrannical, I wonder where you were when we invaded a sovereign country like Iraq that never did a thing to us. Your a dumb partisan, this goverment is tyrannical and imperialist. If you don't understand that you are either to dumb or want this country to fail. You whine republicans? Uh, Republicans and Democracts are in it together. wake up.
@RyanR3volution I'm a coward? That means a lot from a douchebag hiding behind his computer. Bush invaded Iraq. I didn't, nor did I agree with it. This country is a failure. And don't take your typical tea bag stance of all politicians are bad when your only stance is right wing. Now go fuck your mother.
Tea bag?, no no no, I was criticizing the gov before those people ever dreamed of doing that. Right wing? Bullshit, I am not of either party, I care about ideas, and the right thing to do under the Constitution. Your a coward for lying and saying this country is not a tyrannical nor a interventionist one, yet your against Iraq? Whats wrong, did DMC/RNC talking points not get to you as quickly? Your inconsistent, stop your embarrassing yourself. I would talk to you anytime, name it.
@mlodge87 You are a pathetic little man, the invasion of Iraq had overwhelming support from both parties. The country is a failure because liberals have created so many handout tit babies.
@TrashcanMan76 And you are a typical moronic douchebag. The invasion of Iraq was all based on lies that the conservatives needed in order to justify it to the American people. This country is a failure because we no longer produce any products. We outsource everything and the stuff we do make is junk. We can't even get something done when the majority of the people want it. It all comes down to money. Capitalism has crippled this country.
@mlodge87 was not based on lies, was faulty intel that can be traced back to Clinton cutting their budgets. BTW, both Clinton's expressed what a threat Saddam's Iraq was, the world is better off with him out of power and many of the reasons for taking out Saddam were sound and legitamate reasons. Insanely high taxes have driven many good businesses away
@TrashcanMan76 It was based on lies and Cheney has admitted it. It was all done during Bush's administration. It was never based on intel from Clinton's administration, but nice try. Only time will determine if the world is better off. After desert storm, Saddam was not a threat to the world. Maybe his own people, but not the world. He wasn't even a threat to the world when he was in power. He just made the mistake of taking away one of our sources of oil by invading Kuwait.
@mlodge87 The intellingence community was crippled by Clinton cutting their funding. "Maybe his own people" are you nuts they were clearly being tortured and killed by that madman and his sons. He still had desires to gain and utilize WMD's and we know he had used them in the past. The intel used was from both Clinton and Bush's administrations.
@TrashcanMan76 The intelligence community had tons of funding from your conservative administration. Stop making excuses. Yes, he was torturing and killing his own people but far more gruesome atrocities have been committed in other locations around the world like Darfur. The difference? Oil. And who benefits from the oil? Cheney and his Haliburton partners.
@mlodge87 The difference is Saddam had clearly violated numerous UN resolutions and the Cease-Fire agreement from Desert Storm, along with funneling money to palestinian terrorist/suicide bombers. Cheney had no more financial ties to Haliburton so throwing out that red herring is laughable.
usa needs taxes,so it can fund illegal wars abroad.over 50%of the taxes you pay go to WAR.just in case you didn't know that.. they don't go to pay for schools, medicine, etc.they go to WAR.over 50%of taxes.so, republican or democrats they support TAXES, they don't however support 2 tax RICH people, tax d idiots who vote YES, but not the RICH people that actually control and have power in the country..so wake the fuck up and stop being such douchbags with your i'm liberal, he's republican, ..WTF!
Yes!!!! Lower Taxes!!!! Then we'll eventually find ourselves paying out of pocket for school and paying tolls to use every road in America. This is what people don't understand. The government doesn't just take your money and dispose of it. TAx money is used to provide America with social services also.
@Justdaman411 paying out of pocket for school and road tolls everywhere? Kind of like NOW?!? The government has never run even one business proftiably, why should we keep funding them more and more money?
Ahhhhhh yes, more "Biden BRILLIANCE"!!!!(SIC! LOL!) As if the wheels flying off The Obama Bus and lying in an oil-slicked ditch somewhere 100 miles ago now wasn't enough opposition campaign fodder come this election cycle, and again in 2012, Biden has to run his yapper yet again just so he can proudly proclaim, ala the Little Kid in the old Shake and Bake commercial "...and Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Helped!!!"
Biden ignored the comment because either a) he doesn't have a sense of humor or b) he actually wants taxes to be much higher than they are now and has no plans to try to lower taxes, even for this small business owner. After all, Biden was the one who responded to a citizen's question about taxes by saying "It's time to be patriotic."
I mean, come on, Biden! Lots of people are hurting! The last thing they need to deal with are taxes. Put a moratorium for a year or 2 and see how that goes.
Typical liberal democrat....give 'em something for free (something they DIDN'T earn) and they gripe at you while eating your custard. And cussing is classless....period. Why wasn't he down on the Gulf...they got frozen desserts down there too. And what's with this 'everyman' look...white shirt with sleeves rolled up and tie....Obama used the same look when he and the Russian leader when out for burgers. Man, we getting down to business...if by business you mean chowing down.
@MusicEqualsMemories Typical conservative republican,,,,,,not understanding that people sometimes need help cause they are not as fortunate as the corporate elite! Typical conservative republican,,,,not having the brains to understand that Biden and Obama have been down to the Gulf numerous times. Typical republican conservative acting,,, like a scumbag prick!
@renijohn012270: Congratulations for earning the trifecta for liberal when debating. 1. Faulty or misleading facts....4 trips to the gulf is pathetic...walking on the beach playing with tarballs...really impressive leadership ther. 2. Character assassination assuming only liberals have brains and or compassion...yeah they feel the Gulf's pain. And finally 3. The use of profanity. When the argument is weak this is the main tactics employed by the left.
@sucktastic: Your right...gripe is the wrong word..it should have read 'whined' also btw Biden didn't even know what kind of shop he was in....ice cream is not custard. But Biden griped about being ask that question sorta like the congressman last week assaulting a citizen for ask him a simple question. Or how about Peggy West claim that Arizona doesn't share a border with Mexico....
@sucktastic: Facts are facts. Biden and Obama are weak leaders. Even the G8/G20 crowd turned their backs on them. though Obama did get to watch a soccer game, partake in some grade school painting exercise, sans the kids, amd eat that yummy burger. Progress...whoops.....zilch.
Typical conservative, failing to understand the situation. Biden asked how much he owed the guy. He didn't ask for it for free, moron. The owner said it was on him. Biden wasn't the one griping, the owner was. Not surprising that you're understanding of reality is different from everybody else.
@sucktastic: As I stated 'given something for free'. And petitioning a government official (which was what the shop owner was actually doing) is quite within his legal
@sucktastic The guy was just a manager making a casual joke, he's not the owner, and he's not a political activist. Kopps is a small frozen custard chain here in south eastern Wisconsin. He wasn't griping, and he wasnt expecting his little comment to get international attention.
You're actually complaining that Biden has his sleeves rolled up? If it can be complained about, conservatives will complain about it. If your party of no spent half their time coming up with solutions and presenting ideas instead of worrying about whether somebody is rolling up their sleeves, your party might actually make some progress. Then again, progress, for conservatives, is a dirty word.
@sucktastic: Oh yes, the world didn't exist prior to 2001. Everything in the cause and effect theorum can be blamed on one party and one man. I also cited Obama for the same silly posturing as 'working' men..how about taking a shovel down to the Gulf..or maybe a straw..that's if either of them can find it..they sure didn't find Nashville after they survived a historical flood. I have read Edward Bernays have you? I also understand the progressive Committee for Public Information do you?
And in typical conservative fashion, you ignored my post and started constructing your own completely unrelated strawman fallacy. Yawn. Run along, kiddo. Some of us actually live in the real world.
@sucktastic: I did not ignore your post I rebutted it. Nashville that a flood and neither Biden or Obama hasd the decency to even make a fly over. Fact. Neither Biden or Obama attended the memorial service for the rig victims. Fact. I've been in the real world longer than you, Kiddo, and I know the difference between a poseur and one whose been there....you haven't been anywhere or done anything other than spout pseudo 'intelligent' pab. You're block because you are boring.
@sucktastic - nothing like avoiding being accountable for the sorry performance of the current administration ... just blame someone else (i.e. Bush) for the piece of crap results the last 18 monhts. If you want to lead, then lead and be willing to defend your performance, or lack thereof.
@sucktastic - the failure here is you avoiding, like our current government, answering for the pathetic results from the so-called "stimulus". What a boondoggle.
Me answering for what the government is doing? What the fuck are you rambling about? I'm not the government. Seriously dude, go waste your time on somebody who gives a shit. You're like dog shit on the bottom of my foot - annoying and lingering. Now kindly piss off. Thanks.
@inodoropereira1000 no I mean the deliberate failure of ObaMao to stop the oil from devistating our Southern Coast...
kinda pathetic trying to link Cheney to spill when it was Obama's hand picked MMS executive who gave BP passes and waivers days before the disaster....
*****OBAMASPILL DAY 70*****
another 90,000 barrels gushed
Obama is criminally negligent and will soon be impeached ..dumbass
BP caused the oil spill not the government... deal with it and make BP pay. Tea baggers please take notice that Palin is an idiot and is leading you nowhere.
Americans, if you love your children. Investigate the documents "COPENHAGEN TREATY" "KYOTO PROTOCOL""MERRIKESH ACCORDS" "INFCCC" these treaties allow for an unelected world government (the INFCCC) control over carbon credits and every aspect of your life will be taxed and controlled beyond the control of our elected officials. The US has already signed but one of the last to ratify the treaty through CAP AND TRADE ! The INFCCC will decide how many carb creds we get not our president $160bilyr ++
@justonemorename Look at how much the government subsidizes Ethanol...Kick the Illegals out and cut off welfare programs to people that don't need them, I guarantee they'll pick crops instead of starving. Stop feeding the children of parents who can't afford them, if they want their kids to eat give them up for adoption and have an operation so you quit getting knocked up. personal responsibility is lacking to an astounding degree in this country...
@RonPaulGeorgeRingo I'm not outraged or shocked, I have come to expect this from slimy politicians on both sides, Democrats happen to end up doing this more often though.
@AccordGTR, cut taxes on businesses and individuals (the ones that actually pay income taxes) and you will see spending on goods go up and businesses will be able to reinvest that money into the business increasing staff quality etc, causing the economy to grow.
@TrashcanMan76 Normally that would work but this is not a normal situation. In a recession, with the budget deficit very high due to high levels of govt spending, if you cut taxes, it will just bleed the economy further.
The solutions to a recession are not politically acceptable.
- Govt has to cut spending but where?
- Govt has to curb imports but how?
- US companies have to stop investing overseas but why will they when it is more profitable?
@AccordGTR Cut spending, start with food stamps and other social programs, the private sector can and will step up the challenge and do a much better job. This would force these people to either do the jobs illegals are doing which in turn would force illegals out further reducing government expenses.
Curbing imports...Put a huge tax on importers enough with the free trade, that is the only way American companies can compete and it would discourage companies from moving overseas.
@TrashcanMan76 Uh, Free Trade was America's invention u know. US economic growth is based on Free Trade. How can the US tax imports when it is asking the World not to tax US exports? That's kinda double standard. US will lose its credibility if you do that.
There is a bill to tax US companies who outsource overseas but I doubt if it will pass cuz many are already doing it. I though you were for lowering taxes, not raising it? Take these companies pay local income taxes too you know
@AccordGTR just because it is an American brain child doesn't mean it's good.
Lower taxes on companies and individual incomes for those IN the states. Need to tax goods from other countries to level the playing field with their slave wages. So lower taxes on us and raise them on imports. USA has made many other countries rich compared to where they would be w/o us.
@TrashcanMan76 Yes that is true but US also got rich from Free Trade. What'd ya think, US companies went abroad out of the goodness of their hearts and pity for poor countries?? Hell no! It was your Unions and demands for higher wages that made US unable to compete with foreign companies. Why do you think GM is doing well in Asia and Europe but not in the US? Without the market of developing countries, many US companies will not grow anymore. You created your own problems, in other words
@TrashcanMan76 Fact is the common man in the US does not realize the cost of democracy, maintaining high growth and standard of living. He wants his cake-and-eat-it-too. Well, guess what, the politicians have been giving you all what you wished for. You've been buying on credit, fighting secret wars against communists and "terrorists" with an open chequebook, consuming resources like there was no tomorrow and now you want lower taxes? Good luck!
My friends.....The taxes you pay do not build schools or pay politicians salaries or even build roads. No my friends. The taxes we pay go to pay down the national debt. Debt that you did not agree to take on. You are paying off the debt of the politicians who borrowed the money (made from thin air) from the Federal Reserve. We have now reached a point where our nation owes SO much money that we will never pay it off. Financial ruin is imminent. Prepare for really hard times.
Biden simply was acting stupid off the script again, except instead of saying something stupid, he stupidly decided to ignore the comment.
Biden could have just said, "Well, we've already cut plenty of people's taxes. If this is a small business, you should've gotten some tax cuts, too. The Stimulus had over $380 billion in tax credits, you know? But we're running up a pretty hard debt right now, so losing more revenue might not be a good idea, at the moment."
Yep, they have a select purpose and are more cost effective. Tax cuts simply give away money to people of a certain income. Tax credits give money to people who need it or can use it to create more wealth.
He didn't ignore the comment; he called the guy a smartass. He acted as if, by suggesting a tax break, the man had just insulted his mother. Keep the paper hat, Joe... It takes the attention away from your hair plugs.
@d0861 Actually, he called the man a smartass SEVERAL minutes later, and who knows what it was in regards to. Conservatives have all said he called him a smartass because he asked him to lower taxes. Yet if you watch the full video, there is no evidence of that whatsoever.
The manager himself said he enjoyed bantering with Biden and thinks he's a good guy, which leads me to believe he was harping about a bunch of things, not just taxes.
@shalcall Calling him a smartass was just another dumbass move by Mr. Biden.
Last year Mr. Biden pronounced Kopp's "koop's" like the mustard or "Coups" as in chicken Coup. Then he walks in the place and asks "where's the Ice Cream?" Guess what they don't serve Ice Cream, it's custard. Then he rudely ignores the manager's quip about lowering taxes, then comes back and insult's the guy, doesn't really matter if it was for the lower my taxes or something else.
@shalcall While I admit that, on this video, it doesn't show Biden calling the man a smartass, I wonder where you got the notion of his comment being "SEVERAL minutes later" as I have not seen any evidence of this. The fact is that Biden's response to his comment (just walking away in apparent disgust) substantiates my hypothesis, and is unquestionably rude. This is another example of government officials showing a perceived sense of privilege and arrogance towards the American public.
Just ranting at politicians or having "fun" isn't going to cause them to change their ways. Biden and the Obama administration are going to just keep on doing what they've been doing.
If you want to do things that are effective and that would also undercut the MSM, see this related video:
Seriously, I would have added all the taxes expected to hit next year to the price of his dessert. And when he asked why he is paying more, I would have told Bite Me "Well, even though the higher taxes don't hit until next year, we are charging higher prices right now to cover for it. Just like you and Barry do in Washington".
I feel sorry for the guy. Now the pointy-heads in the media will look for dirt to embarrass him. He might be a smartass, but Biden and anyone who thinks the government taxing and spending is good for the economy, is a dumbass.
@Cedtoron I guarantee you that Joe the Plumber has paid less taxes since Obama entered office. But you keep that ideology of shoveling money hand over fist at the rich and see where it gets this country.
@Cedtoron why do conservatives quickly jump from one extreme to the next. Making taxes less progressive over the last 30 years has steadily moved wealth from the lower classes to the upper class. In the eight years that Bush was president, salaries of the top 1% jumped 17%. Salaries of the bottom 90% DROPPED 0.6%. Not only that, but the tax burden on the rich came down.
I'm not saying down with the rich. I'm saying return to a more progressive distribution of wealth.
@shalcall A more "progressive" distribution of wealth? What does progressive mean? Who should decide how to distribute the wealth? The rich currently pay 90% of the taxes the federal government collects. Is it progressive to increase that percentage? How does that affect job creation? Costs of goods and services? You say that salaries increased for the top 1% during the Bush years. Is it progressive for the govt. to mandate what companies can pay their employees?
@Cedtoron The rich pay more of the total taxes because they're taking more of the total salaries. Seriously, do you think that the job of CEO has gotten more than 5 time harder than their average worker in the last 30 years? 30 years ago CEO's made, on average, 35 times what their average worker made. Today they make about 300 times what their average worker makes. How is this possible when productivity of the avg worker has skyrocketed?
Wealth is being shifted to the top. It's not good.
@shalcall Doesn't seem fair does it? Let's do this democratically and we can live with the consequences of our own decisions. Sound fair? We'll cut your CEO's salary and keep my CEO's salary as is. Now since you decided to cut your CEO's salary, you'll need to help make up the difference in taxes that he no longer pays. He might want to cut your salary a bit to cut his costs, if he keeps your job around. Nothing changes for me, but I'll have to live knowing my CEO makes 300 times what I do.
@Cedtoron I don't want to cut CEO salaries. I want an environment which encourages a more equitable income distribution (NOT equal income). That tends to be a progressive tax system and the support of workers to unionize. Today workers are punished for attempting to unionize and profits from capital investments (stocks, bonds, etc.) are taxes at a lower rate than income.
Most, if not all hedge fund managers and bank ceo's pay a lower tax rate than their secretaries. That's where we are.
Bite Me goes into the wrong store, insults the owner and blames all the problems on Bush. A Trifecta. He is forever Vice President "Bite Me" and he's living up to his name every day. This is the most thin skinned, egocentric, classless group of people in the White House the world has ever known. The General found that out the hard way. The Obama regime will embrace the enemies of the US, but will declare all out war on anyone that is critical of him.
@TrashcanMan76 I assume artsnflies used "four-letter word" as the expression is commonly understood to refer to an obscenity or it could be a jab at the time Biden said "j-o-b-s' was a three letter word. I think that would be funny.
How dareth this simpleton of a mgr working in the real world question the anointed?!!?
The manager, of Wisconsin, simply does not understand that Joe Biden of Delaware, in a powerful postion (at least one of influence), knows how to spend his money better than he does. The manager deserved to be ignored for questioning the edicts of such powerful men as BIDEN. Doesn't he see what a good job the gov't is doing? Well, perhaps the stimulus has not worked. If only they could do a cap-and-trade...
@ToddonCapeCod It took a few minutes to find it but I heard the "smart ass" remark. Also noticed the Peggy West video. Is it WISN that asserted the copyright claim that has caused many of those videos to be taken off of Youtube? They clearly didn't want to make 'ol Joe look bad when they falsely reported he ignored the "Lower our taxes" comment. Agenda?
I hope the people of Wisconsin will do the nation a favor and not send Feingold back to the Senate.
@bobgads So does this explain why Wisconsin elects Democrats like Peggy West and radical progressive Feingold? A press that doesn't even bother to get basic facts right? They definitely buried the "smart ass" remark in this report.
Hey Joe, what about Blago? What about the Obama oil leak? What about the fisherman who killed himself? What about YOU ignoring the Gulf? What about the border? What about the 10% unemployment?
The lefties don't want to answer ANY questions. Obummer has taken 10 questions in a year. And it took him over an hour to do that. Plus, Obummer never answers a question anyway.
Biden is completely incompetent. He looks like a sleazy used car salesman. He has terrible hair plugs. If these two ass-clowns are the best we have in the US, we are completly screwed.
Look at what a sour-faced self-serving scumbag Biden comes across as, turning his back while scarfing his cone. Biden and Obama are completely out of their league -- a more dismal example of President and Vice President this country cannot recall.
The least this hack could have done was give a polite little grin and accommodate the owner. Instead, he walks away with a humorless expression.
@HockeyPhil Absolutely right, Dems never lower taxes. At least not since JFK and I'm not sure the party liked it when he did it.
While the only spending they are ever willing to cut is the military. The part that is actually their job. That part that keeps the nation safe. That's the Democrat party for you.
Bye Bye Bidey.

That dumb fucking piece of shit probably voted for Obama/Biden in the premise that he actually believed these two schmucks would actually lower our taxes and give him free healthcare.

RPenta 1 year ago
@RPenta Totally agree, both parties are like Coke and pepsi. Both parties are like a dictatorship, I tried to do a project at my school criticizing both parties and you would not believe the reaction I got, one teacher said " Some people would argue the parties are the best thing we ever had and keep us from going into chaos " . People are so dumb, sheeple.
RyanR3volution 1 year ago

I agree, don't vote for either. .

@mlodge87
RyanR3volution 1 year ago
@RyanR3volution Over-regulated? Not by a long shot. It is the complete lack of regulation that led to our country's worst recession since the great depression and our worst oil spill disaster in history. Overtaxed? Taxes are at some of the lowest rates in history. Overrun by bureaucrats? I would agree with you there. Tax dollars being spent on the military is a necessary evil. Our govt is too large, I agree, but too powerful, no, tyrannical, no, and interventionist, not even close.
mlodge87 1 year ago
@mlodge87
RyanR3volution 1 year ago
@RyanR3volution If Republicans had not stripped away all the regulations that were put in place after the S&L scandal, the recent recession would never have happened. The regulations that were put in place to oversee companies like Lehman Brothers, were to prevent the exact scam they were pulling. Where BP drilled is irrelevant. How they drilled is. They drilled without a working blowout preventer that should have been provided by Dick Cheney's boys at Haliburton.
mlodge87 1 year ago
@mlodge87
RyanR3volution 1 year ago

@mlodge87 You are a pathetic little man, the invasion of Iraq had overwhelming support from both parties. The country is a failure because liberals have created so many handout tit babies.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 And you are a typical moronic douchebag. The invasion of Iraq was all based on lies that the conservatives needed in order to justify it to the American people. This country is a failure because we no longer produce any products. We outsource everything and the stuff we do make is junk. We can't even get something done when the majority of the people want it. It all comes down to money. Capitalism has crippled this country.
mlodge87 1 year ago
@mlodge87 was not based on lies, was faulty intel that can be traced back to Clinton cutting their budgets. BTW, both Clinton's expressed what a threat Saddam's Iraq was, the world is better off with him out of power and many of the reasons for taking out Saddam were sound and legitamate reasons. Insanely high taxes have driven many good businesses away
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 It was based on lies and Cheney has admitted it. It was all done during Bush's administration. It was never based on intel from Clinton's administration, but nice try. Only time will determine if the world is better off. After desert storm, Saddam was not a threat to the world. Maybe his own people, but not the world. He wasn't even a threat to the world when he was in power. He just made the mistake of taking away one of our sources of oil by invading Kuwait.
mlodge87 1 year ago
@mlodge87 The intellingence community was crippled by Clinton cutting their funding. "Maybe his own people" are you nuts they were clearly being tortured and killed by that madman and his sons. He still had desires to gain and utilize WMD's and we know he had used them in the past. The intel used was from both Clinton and Bush's administrations.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 The intelligence community had tons of funding from your conservative administration. Stop making excuses. Yes, he was torturing and killing his own people but far more gruesome atrocities have been committed in other locations around the world like Darfur. The difference? Oil. And who benefits from the oil? Cheney and his Haliburton partners.
mlodge87 1 year ago
@mlodge87 The difference is Saddam had clearly violated numerous UN resolutions and the Cease-Fire agreement from Desert Storm, along with funneling money to palestinian terrorist/suicide bombers. Cheney had no more financial ties to Haliburton so throwing out that red herring is laughable.

Taxes can only go up. US govt debt last year was 89% of GDP. That's not counting the budget deficit, private or corporate debt.
AccordGTR 1 year ago
@AccordGTR, cut taxes on businesses and individuals (the ones that actually pay income taxes) and you will see spending on goods go up and businesses will be able to reinvest that money into the business increasing staff quality etc, causing the economy to grow.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 Normally that would work but this is not a normal situation. In a recession, with the budget deficit very high due to high levels of govt spending, if you cut taxes, it will just bleed the economy further.
The solutions to a recession are not politically acceptable.
- Govt has to cut spending but where?
- Govt has to curb imports but how?
- US companies have to stop investing overseas but why will they when it is more profitable?
- Americans have to give up buying luxuries.
AccordGTR 1 year ago
@AccordGTR Cut spending, start with food stamps and other social programs, the private sector can and will step up the challenge and do a much better job. This would force these people to either do the jobs illegals are doing which in turn would force illegals out further reducing government expenses.
Curbing imports...Put a huge tax on importers enough with the free trade, that is the only way American companies can compete and it would discourage companies from moving overseas.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 Uh, Free Trade was America's invention u know. US economic growth is based on Free Trade. How can the US tax imports when it is asking the World not to tax US exports? That's kinda double standard. US will lose its credibility if you do that.
There is a bill to tax US companies who outsource overseas but I doubt if it will pass cuz many are already doing it. I though you were for lowering taxes, not raising it? Take these companies pay local income taxes too you know
AccordGTR 1 year ago
@AccordGTR just because it is an American brain child doesn't mean it's good.
Lower taxes on companies and individual incomes for those IN the states. Need to tax goods from other countries to level the playing field with their slave wages. So lower taxes on us and raise them on imports. USA has made many other countries rich compared to where they would be w/o us.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@TrashcanMan76 Yes that is true but US also got rich from Free Trade. What'd ya think, US companies went abroad out of the goodness of their hearts and pity for poor countries?? Hell no! It was your Unions and demands for higher wages that made US unable to compete with foreign companies. Why do you think GM is doing well in Asia and Europe but not in the US? Without the market of developing countries, many US companies will not grow anymore. You created your own problems, in other words

But we're running up a pretty hard debt right now, so losing more revenue might not be a good idea, at the moment."
nafaidni 1 year ago
@nafaidni tax credits are not tax cuts.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
"tax credits are not tax cuts."
Yep, they have a select purpose and are more cost effective. Tax cuts simply give away money to people of a certain income. Tax credits give money to people who need it or can use it to create more wealth.

d0861 1 year ago
@d0861 Actually, he called the man a smartass SEVERAL minutes later, and who knows what it was in regards to. Conservatives have all said he called him a smartass because he asked him to lower taxes. Yet if you watch the full video, there is no evidence of that whatsoever.
The manager himself said he enjoyed bantering with Biden and thinks he's a good guy, which leads me to believe he was harping about a bunch of things, not just taxes.
shalcall 1 year ago
@shalcall Calling him a smartass was just another dumbass move by Mr. Biden.
Last year Mr. Biden pronounced Kopp's "koop's" like the mustard or "Coups" as in chicken Coup. Then he walks in the place and asks "where's the Ice Cream?" Guess what they don't serve Ice Cream, it's custard. Then he rudely ignores the manager's quip about lowering taxes, then comes back and insult's the guy, doesn't really matter if it was for the lower my taxes or something else.
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago
@shalcall While I admit that, on this video, it doesn't show Biden calling the man a smartass, I wonder where you got the notion of his comment being "SEVERAL minutes later" as I have not seen any evidence of this. The fact is that Biden's response to his comment (just walking away in apparent disgust) substantiates my hypothesis, and is unquestionably rude. This is another example of government officials showing a perceived sense of privilege and arrogance towards the American public.

I feel sorry for the guy. Now the pointy-heads in the media will look for dirt to embarrass him. He might be a smartass, but Biden and anyone who thinks the government taxing and spending is good for the economy, is a dumbass.

First Joe the Plumber, now Kopp's Custard. The liberals have no concern for small business.
Cedtoron 1 year ago
@Cedtoron Joe the Plumber had a business? That would be news to him.
shalcall 1 year ago
@shalcall Not yet. Last I heard, he was still waiting for "trickle-up" to reach him.
Cedtoron 1 year ago
@Cedtoron I guarantee you that Joe the Plumber has paid less taxes since Obama entered office. But you keep that ideology of shoveling money hand over fist at the rich and see where it gets this country.
shalcall 1 year ago
@shalcall Yeah! Down with the rich! Government jobs for everybody! Don't drink corporate coffee!
Cedtoron 1 year ago
@Cedtoron why do conservatives quickly jump from one extreme to the next. Making taxes less progressive over the last 30 years has steadily moved wealth from the lower classes to the upper class. In the eight years that Bush was president, salaries of the top 1% jumped 17%. Salaries of the bottom 90% DROPPED 0.6%. Not only that, but the tax burden on the rich came down.
I'm not saying down with the rich. I'm saying return to a more progressive distribution of wealth.
shalcall 1 year ago
@shalcall A more "progressive" distribution of wealth? What does progressive mean? Who should decide how to distribute the wealth? The rich currently pay 90% of the taxes the federal government collects. Is it progressive to increase that percentage? How does that affect job creation? Costs of goods and services? You say that salaries increased for the top 1% during the Bush years. Is it progressive for the govt. to mandate what companies can pay their employees?
Cedtoron 1 year ago
@Cedtoron The rich pay more of the total taxes because they're taking more of the total salaries. Seriously, do you think that the job of CEO has gotten more than 5 time harder than their average worker in the last 30 years? 30 years ago CEO's made, on average, 35 times what their average worker made. Today they make about 300 times what their average worker makes. How is this possible when productivity of the avg worker has skyrocketed?
Wealth is being shifted to the top. It's not good.
shalcall 1 year ago
@shalcall Doesn't seem fair does it? Let's do this democratically and we can live with the consequences of our own decisions. Sound fair? We'll cut your CEO's salary and keep my CEO's salary as is. Now since you decided to cut your CEO's salary, you'll need to help make up the difference in taxes that he no longer pays. He might want to cut your salary a bit to cut his costs, if he keeps your job around. Nothing changes for me, but I'll have to live knowing my CEO makes 300 times what I do.
Cedtoron 1 year ago

Funny how so few TV news show stations (other than Foxnews really) do NOT show Biden callingthe manager a 4-letter word for asking the question!!!
artsnflies 1 year ago 2
@artsnflies smartass is not a four letter word!!! lol
TrashcanMan76 1 year ago

Even though the guy was nice and said Biden did not have to pay, Biden should have paid him and with a big tip, he's got plenty of money!

What this clip doesn't show you is, Biden told the manager that he didn't have to be such a smart ass, with regards to the lower taxes comment.
You can see the full clip on the wisn website
ToddonCapeCod 1 year ago
@ToddonCapeCod It took a few minutes to find it but I heard the "smart ass" remark. Also noticed the Peggy West video. Is it WISN that asserted the copyright claim that has caused many of those videos to be taken off of Youtube? They clearly didn't want to make 'ol Joe look bad when they falsely reported he ignored the "Lower our taxes" comment. Agenda?
I hope the people of Wisconsin will do the nation a favor and not send Feingold back to the Senate.
Txbertie 1 year ago
@Txbertie Of course there's an agenda to WISN, as well as any media outlet.
Hence the recent collective proclamation by virtually every network that Obama's recent firing of McChrystal was "brilliant."
They had to figure out some way of boosting his clearly failing agenda.
ToddonCapeCod 1 year ago
This is not the owner of Kopp's, as stated in the headline, the manager is the person speaking to VP Biden. Please correct header!
bobgads 1 year ago
@bobgads So does this explain why Wisconsin elects Democrats like Peggy West and radical progressive Feingold? A press that doesn't even bother to get basic facts right? They definitely buried the "smart ass" remark in this report.
Txbertie 1 year ago 2
@Txbertie Great! That's why the drive by media is dead. The same old propaganda is getting old.

Hey Joe, what about Blago? What about the Obama oil leak? What about the fisherman who killed himself? What about YOU ignoring the Gulf? What about the border? What about the 10% unemployment?

Biden is completely incompetent. He looks like a sleazy used car salesman. He has terrible hair plugs. If these two ass-clowns are the best we have in the US, we are completly screwed.

Look at what a sour-faced self-serving scumbag Biden comes across as, turning his back while scarfing his cone. Biden and Obama are completely out of their league -- a more dismal example of President and Vice President this country cannot recall.
The least this hack could have done was give a polite little grin and accommodate the owner. Instead, he walks away with a humorless expression.
No class.

Impossible.. Dems never lower taxes.
HockeyPhil 1 year ago 4
@HockeyPhil Absolutely right, Dems never lower taxes. At least not since JFK and I'm not sure the party liked it when he did it.
While the only spending they are ever willing to cut is the military. The part that is actually their job. That part that keeps the nation safe. That's the Democrat party for you.
