'Some NPC's can't be killed for reasons unknown'- Actually you can't kill people who you may end up doing quests with as it would break the game and you would have to start the WHOLE thing all over again.
@cybersaur Fallout 1 and 2 you could kill anyone, the story took another direction and the game still was playable. Your argument doesnt float. Bethesda's approach on this is pure lazyness.

It's not like the game is perfect either. The reason was that you stated you can't switch weapons quickly when you clearly can. It even tells you that in the tutorial. TL;DR version: I didn't get angry because you don't like the game, but because you didn't check some things you were talking about in the video.

1)You can't kill some NPCs because they're for a main quest. You can imagine if bethesda listened to people like you that you should kill everyone and made it so. @Dievaslt Thats why I don't play Bethesda games anymore :) They can't make good games. I play fallout 1 and 2 instead. There I can do whatever I want and it has consequenses and the story progresses no matter what I do and the game is playable :)
The only thing that really bothered me were the countless bugs I encountered while playing. I also felt it was a step back from New Vegas, in terms of less freedom for the player; you can quite literally act like a complete ass throughout the story, but it progresses as it normally would. That, and, obviously the immortal characters are annoying. I play it often, though, and it's still very enjoyable, despite the inconveniences.
@MinusDeath I stopped playing it when I shot a guy in the head 3 times with a shotgun and he didnt die. Combining FPS and RPG in Fallout style just didnt work. And the VAT system didn't make any sense in FPS since if you hit a guy in VAT in the head he died instantly, but like I said before with the 3 times in the head with the shotgun :)
@gameduct Realism doesn't make a game any more enjoyable. Simply turning the difficulty down to very easy at a considerably high level renders it laughably easy; I find it very satisfying, nonchalantly walking into a swarm of deathclaws - the feeling that you're god. You can still enjoy the game.

Skyrim is one of those games that ceases to be fun when you start playing it like you're supposed to. Also, none of the Elder Scrolls games had the kind of atmosphere that Morrowind had, where the world was an alien, truly foreign place that was new to the player. I liked Skyrim, but it's far from perfect. Good honest review man.
@CalBro The gameplay is slow and boring. Your character is a fat guy who can not run for more than 10 seconds before he gets tired. Proves that Bethesda developers knows nothing about stamina or muscles = a bunch of nerds who went in the woods and try to run around with a sword and shield and allmos got a heart attack

@donesleyMEDIA85 Good that you enjoy your game. Nothing is better than that. I don't though, but people are different. For you maybe it is about exploring, the adventure, dragons, magic. Games for me is more about the gameplay, the pace, feeling you have 100 % control and a lot of freedom.
Are the character animations so important that you have to complain about them? the game's huge, obviously it'll have some limitations, if it didn't the loading time that, you also complain about ,would be way longer. =/
@cannonfodder4000 We are in 2011. When games like Max Payne from 1999 have incredible fluid and realistic animations I think it is important yes. I played bigger games with over twice as good graphics than this with allmost no loading times. Bethesdas engine is old and it can tell. They have just added things to an old engine, wich just makes it feels older but still looks great.

Guess what, The Fallout series and Elder Scrolls series are hugely different, in Morrowind you COULD kill main characters, but it doomed your game and you were fucked. Now in Oblivion and Skyrim they just made them essential. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas you had more freedom, but its because they are different types of games. Fallout has always been "Fuck everything I can do what I want"
And there are only TWO invisible walls like that in the WHOLE game.

Well I can't argue with your opinion but it is a little self-centered to label your opinion's as THE TRUTH. The reason why it says "you can't go that way" is because you are heading off the map. Also NPC's you cannot kill are quest-givers, it was like that in Oblivion. The rest I can see people having a problem with.

7. You're having long loads? As in, loading screens that last MORE THAN 7 FUCKING SECONDS?!?! (judging by you snoring at that mark), Decrease graphic settings. Skyrim runs just fine on my PC. Played Crysis? Much better graphics, huge jungles, in-door and out door environments: Loads much faster than bethesda's engine and runs smoother ;)
The reason bethesda is having problem is because their graphic engine is too old and they dont want to waste money making a new one. All Skyrim has is just new textures with lightning fx

I don't play 3rd person, my friends don't play 3rd person, & judging from the gameplay you had shown before that, YOU don't play 3rd person. 3. There are "essential NPC"s, and if they were to die the quest (or entire story) would be unplayable. For example, you couldn't kill your father, James, in Fallout 3.
@pyrexo If you kill an NPC that have a quest for you shouldmt mean the death of the quest. There could be other way of discovering the quest: by finding it yourself, or getting it from someone else. Just proves bethesda are lazy and takes short-cuts. Did you know in Fallout 1 and 2 you can kill everyone and the game is still playable. It just takes a different direction. That is freedom. That is RPG.

1. At 0:16 No, you cannot go that way. Bethesda gives you a whole region to explore and you try to leave Skyrim. "Is there an invisible wall?" Yes, yes there is. But If you did a bit of research you'd know that that way is blocked of for DLC to Hammerfell, Orsimer, etc.
2. You only use the buttons on menus. If you're using WASD you would you "E" as enter & tab as exit. Yes the mouse system on menus is faulty, too bad.
@pyrexo What a nice way to stop players from going a place: "Lets put an invisible wall where a text pop up: You can not go that way". Lazy solution from a shitty developer.

This game is like all Bethesdas products: Half-finished and full of bugs and glitches. they are allso lightyear behind other games when it comes to being intuitive and having good gameplay. Not to mention the game is boring and very slow. Your character gets tired after running for less than 10 seconds, just like an obese guy.
@gameduct The game is not "full of bugs" there are a few glitches, as is to be expected from a game world as large as this.
My character can sprint for about 30 seconds, you need to wear lighter armour and pick an elf character to be able to run for longer. Drink stamina potions if you're having trouble.

Gameplay = hit detection is not there at all. When you wave your sword the sword's 3d object should be physically hitting things. like if you slash a guy sideways the sword should hit is arm or shoulder and not his face just because your crosshair is aimed at his face. This dumbed down gameplay makes sword fights dull and you just end up clicking without thinking.
@gameduct Your character is always running, thats when he's sprinting. if u knew anything about the game you'd know you can increased ur stamina to sprint faster as well as other things.
@gameduct The entire CONTINENT of Tamriel was conceived before Skyrim and the game is called SKYRIM, so you would expect that the game takes place ONLY in the province of Skyrim. Also I WOULD like you to come up with a better idea for restricting the player from getting out of the intended area.

When an invisible wall says: "you can not go here", then I dont care if they planned this or that in the future. @Angrynorske You always talk about things you know nothing about? I played Skyrim an entire day and did a lot quests and side-quests. As I played I saved the game when I came accross things that really annoyed me and I wanted to share that :)
So those saves are, yes very early on in the game.
So according to you, the game is bad because you can't go off the edge of the map, kill people whose death makes the game unwinnable, you can't figure out the incredibly simply menu system or realise how to hotkey things, and the third person view (which isn't how you're meant to play the game) doesn't look 100% realistic when jumping. This isn't so much 'SKYRIM- THE TRUTH' as 'SKYRIM: I CANT PLAY THE FUCKING GAME'. I'm don't even like it that much, but the only problem in this video is you.

Menu system is far from intuitive. Not just with weapons, but with items, you have to scroll too much.

To be honest throughout the entire time that I was watching this video it looked like you were simply trying to find things wrong with this game and not giving it a fair tutorial. But that's just how your video came across to me.
@BigDC100 I just focused on the wrong things yes, becuase I can't find anything good with this games than the graphics to be honest. Boring gameplay, dumbed down, terrible hit / detection in combat, stiff gameplay, glitchy game with full of bugs in animation and graphics + invisible walls, non-killable NPC's, long loading times, stuttering, memory problems...the list goes on and on. If I made a complete tutorial on the game it would bring the game in an even worse light ;)
Well at the end of the day it all counts on whether or not the gameplay is enjoyable. I, as well as a majority of gamers apparently, really enjoy the gameplay, story, and just the game overall. Now I won't go out on you for not liking this game because everyone has the right to their own opinions and I respect yours. Well I guess even something like Skyrim can't please everyone.

Well did you think that maybe a good amount of people who bought the game actually liked it? I own the game and love it, Angry Joe bought the game and he loves it, and I know tons of other people, both in real life and on the internet, who own the game and love it. It all counts on opinions and the gameplay. As long as one, personally, finds the gameplay enjoyable then that's what matters. Skyrim, of course, isn't 100% perfect and can't please everyone.

@XxNiNjAsHaDoWxX Fallout 1 and 2 were more story based, besides, is 3 or 4 invinsible NPC's enough to make a game 'bad'? They shouldn't need to find a way around it, it was like this in Oblivion and Fallout 3, go complain about them games before you whine about this one.
Not to mention almost EVERY other game has un-killable NPC's, this game isn't 100% perfect but it's fine enough for me- Hence my opinion being different to his.

Crysis does not load longer when using fraps either because I record videos on a separate hard-drive than where my games are installed ;)

@gameduct Enjoying a game =/= fanboy. I got angry not because you dislike this game. After all it is just your opinion, why should I get angry because of that. It's not like the game is perfect either. The reason was that you stated you can't switch weapons quickly when you clearly can. It even tells you that in the tutorial. TL;DR version: I didn't get angry because you don't like the game, but because you didn't check some things you were talking about in the video.

1)You can't kill some NPCs because they're for a main quest. You can imagine if bethesda listened to people like you that you should kill everyone and made it so. The only thing that really bothered me were the countless bugs I encountered while playing. I also felt it was a step back from New Vegas, in terms of less freedom for the player; you can quite literally act like a complete ass throughout the story, but it progresses as it normally would. That, and, obviously the immortal characters are annoying. I play it often, though, and it's still very enjoyable, despite the inconveniences.

@MinusDeath I stopped playing it when I shot a guy in the head 3 times with a shotgun and he didnt die. Combining FPS and RPG in Fallout style just didnt work. And the VAT system didn't make any sense in FPS since if you hit a guy in VAT in the head he died instantly, but like I said before with the 3 times in the head with the shotgun :)

@gameduct Realism doesn't make a game any more enjoyable. Simply turning the difficulty down to very easy at a considerably high level renders it laughably easy; I find it very satisfying, nonchalantly walking into a swarm of deathclaws - the feeling that you're god. You can still enjoy the game.

Skyrim is one of those games that ceases to be fun when you start playing it like you're supposed to. Also, none of the Elder Scrolls games had the kind of atmosphere that Morrowind had, where the world was an alien, truly foreign place that was new to the player. I liked Skyrim, but it's far from perfect. Good honest review man.

@cannonfodder4000 We are in 2011. When games like Max Payne from 1999 have incredible fluid and realistic animations I think it is important yes. I played bigger games with over twice as good graphics than this with allmost no loading times. Bethesdas engine is old and it can tell. They have just added things to an old engine, wich just makes it feels older but still looks great.

Guess what, The Fallout series and Elder Scrolls series are hugely different, in Morrowind you COULD kill main characters, but it doomed your game and you were fucked. Now in Oblivion and Skyrim they just made them essential. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas you had more freedom, but its because they are different types of games. Fallout has always been "Fuck everything I can do what I want"
And there are only TWO invisible walls like that in the WHOLE game.

Well I can't argue with your opinion but it is a little self-centered to label your opinion's as THE TRUTH. The reason why it says "you can't go that way" is because you are heading off the map. Also NPC's you cannot kill are quest-givers, it was like that in Oblivion. The rest I can see people having a problem with.

7. You're having long loads? As in, loading screens that last MORE THAN 7 FUCKING SECONDS?!?! (judging by you snoring at that mark), Decrease graphic settings. Skyrim runs just fine on my PC. You admitted earlier that the game had a large scale, & do you honestly expect that scale to be rendered and placed correctly in less than 7 seconds?

@pyrexo If you look again I had to speed up the video cause the loading time took to long. Much longer than 7 seconds. I didnt count how long it took though.
Played Crysis? Much better graphics, huge jungles, in-door and out door environments: Loads much faster than bethesda's engine and runs smoother ;)
The reason bethesda is having problem is because their graphic engine is too old and they dont want to waste money making a new one. All Skyrim has is just new textures with lightning fx

I don't play 3rd person, my friends don't play 3rd person, & judging from the gameplay you had shown before that, YOU don't play 3rd person. The 3rd person mode is fine, seeing as the game is mostly played in 1st person by gamers.

3. There are "essential NPC"s, and if they were to die the quest (or entire story) would be unplayable. For example, you couldn't kill your father, James, in Fallout 3.

@pyrexo If you kill an NPC that have a quest for you shouldmt mean the death of the quest. There could be other way of discovering the quest: by finding it yourself, or getting it from someone else. Just proves bethesda are lazy and takes short-cuts. Did you know in Fallout 1 and 2 you can kill everyone and the game is still playable. It just takes a different direction. That is freedom. That is RPG.

@icantfindausername13 Graphical details vs. horrible gameplay, A.I, glitches and bugs tell that they rushed the game / released it too soon. As far as I see it this game is half-finished. That is lazy yes. When you start something, finish it. That goes to everything in life.

1. At 0:16 No, you cannot go that way. Bethesda gives you a whole region to explore and you try to leave Skyrim. "Is there an invisible wall?" Yes, yes there is. But If you did a bit of research you'd know that that way is blocked of for DLC to Hammerfell, Orsimer, etc.
2. You only use the buttons on menus. If you're using WASD you would you "E" as enter & tab as exit. Yes the mouse system on menus is faulty, too bad.

This game is like all Bethesdas products: Half-finished and full of bugs and glitches. they are allso lightyear behind other games when it comes to being intuitive and having good gameplay. Not to mention the game is boring and very slow. Your character gets tired after running for less than 10 seconds, just like an obese guy.

@gameduct The game is not "full of bugs" there are a few glitches, as is to be expected from a game world as large as this.
My character can sprint for about 30 seconds, you need to wear lighter armour and pick an elf character to be able to run for longer. Drink stamina potions if you're having trouble.
I still don't understand how Skyrim is lightyears behind other games when it comes to intuitiveness and gameplay, could you please explain that to me?

Gameplay = hit detection is not there at all. When you wave your sword the sword's 3d object should be physically hitting things. like if you slash a guy sideways the sword should hit is arm or shoulder and not his face just because your crosshair is aimed at his face. This dumbed down gameplay makes sword fights dull and you just end up clicking without thinking.

@gameduct Your character is always running, thats when he's sprinting. if u knew anything about the game you'd know you can increased ur stamina to sprint faster as well as other things.

@gameduct The entire CONTINENT of Tamriel was conceived before Skyrim and the game is called SKYRIM, so you would expect that the game takes place ONLY in the province of Skyrim. Also I WOULD like you to come up with a better idea for restricting the player from getting out of the intended area.

When an invisible wall says: "you can not go here", then I dont care if they planned this or that in the future. I am playing NOW and want to enjoy this game NOW, not in 1 or 2 years or after 3 years when they finished patching the game. Bethesda fails yet again.

@Angrynorske Hehe I get plenty of fresh air, at least compared to a lot of users here who apperantly plays Skyrim a lot :) I have played Skyrim just one day and are not planning to play it anymore. The game has nothing for me to offer = it is boring, slow, repetetive, full of bugs, dumbed down, terrible A.I and full of invisible walls :)
I rather play Aliens vs predator 1999 version, at least that game gets my heart beating ;)

@Angrynorske You always talk about things you know nothing about? I played Skyrim an entire day and did a lot quests and side-quests. As I played I saved the game when I came accross things that really annoyed me and I wanted to share that :)
So those saves are, yes very early on in the game.

So according to you, the game is bad because you can't go off the edge of the map, kill people whose death makes the game unwinnable, you can't figure out the incredibly simply menu system or realise how to hotkey things, and the third person view (which isn't how you're meant to play the game) doesn't look 100% realistic when jumping. This isn't so much 'SKYRIM- THE TRUTH' as 'SKYRIM: I CANT PLAY THE FUCKING GAME'. I'm don't even like it that much, but the only problem in this video is you.

@videogamenostalgia Edge of the map? I was faaar from the edge of the map ;) there are numerous places this happends that are even more far away from the map.
Instead of an invisible wall, they should put a rock / mountain there ;) this just proves the game was rushed and is not finished.
Menu system is far from intuitive. Not just with weapons, but with items, you have to scroll too much.
If 3rd person is not ment to be played, why put it in the game? See where u fail? ;)

@eddy1397 I think many people did and they wont admit it and it seems people force themself to like it for some reason. Despite all the glitches, bugs, graphic problems and memory problems, stuttering. I think it suffers from the MW3 syndrome = everybody buys it because they know everybody will buy it.
I am glad I didnt pay for it. Actually I think all Bethesda games are shit.

@BigDC100 I just focused on the wrong things yes, becuase I can't find anything good with this games than the graphics to be honest. Boring gameplay, dumbed down, terrible hit / detection in combat, stiff gameplay, glitchy game with full of bugs in animation and graphics + invisible walls, non-killable NPC's, long loading times, stuttering, memory problems...the list goes on and on. If I made a complete tutorial on the game it would bring the game in an even worse light ;)

Well at the end of the day it all counts on whether or not the gameplay is enjoyable. I, as well as a majority of gamers apparently, really enjoy the gameplay, story, and just the game overall. Now I won't go out on you for not liking this game because everyone has the right to their own opinions and I respect yours. Well I guess even something like Skyrim can't please everyone.

@BigDC100 The Majority play MW3 aswell ;) I think Skyrim suffers from the same thing; it was so hyped so everybody bought it. Now they are stuck with it, and those who didnt bought it feels "left out" and need to se what it is all about. I am glad I didnt pay for it :)

Well did you think that maybe a good amount of people who bought the game actually liked it? I own the game and love it, Angry Joe bought the game and he loves it, and I know tons of other people, both in real life and on the internet, who own the game and love it. It all counts on opinions and the gameplay. As long as one, personally, finds the gameplay enjoyable then that's what matters. Skyrim, of course, isn't 100% perfect and can't please everyone.
