I sincerely hope so. I am very much a dog lover. I have an 8 year old Great Dane who is so gentle around my daughters little terrier. One of my daughters dogs foot is the size of one of my dogs toe! It has been just recently that dog fighting has been recognized as a serious crime. The end result are that these monsters will be going away for probably the rest of their normal lives. It is the same as battered women, child abuse, etc. A lot of people looked on for years until it was finally recognized. Why are there endangered species like, buffalos, eagles, etc?..because hunters tried to kill them all(and not for dinner), but for sick, barbaric, blood thirsty reasons. The fact that the police were informed, and the police took action to charge a disabled boy with cruelty, is proof that this hysteria has become absurd. I have far greater sympathy for this boy than any animal; I also find the reputation of men to be far more important than any animal. It is an outrage to have a man's life destroyed because he killed several dogs.
