WE live in batavia and we went to branson and stayed a few days when we came back a man that grandparents knew was cutting down branches and one fell on him and he died
yeah this was horrible. we live east of jonesboro in northeast arkansas and we were without power from feb 27th to march 21st. the first day really was scary seeing power lines to snap at every turn and tree limbs everywhere.
yeah i live near berryville arkansas and i had no power for two weeks and i was out of school for a week and a half. and all the limbs falling was horrible; my friend got her car smashed by a 60 year old oak tree. i live on a dirt road and we couldn't even drive through till we got the chain saw. the mess afterward was badddd. we went and stayed with my grandma who had pressurized water for showers and a gas stove, after we were able to get out. a ton of telephone poles just snapped in half..
i iive in harrison as well... this ice really didnt go well with me becasue i was suposed to goto memphis for more test on my spine from my last sugeory... and we couldnt get out... they didnt clear the highways at all for nearly 2 weeks head twards little rock
That really makes me sad. See i lived in harrison for about 16 years and im now 21 and i July 2008 i came out to Nevada to spend a couple months with my mom and dad and missed the ice storm. i know some peope would say im luckly but i have been waiting for another ice storm since i think it was 99 and i miss it it makes me sad. the one christmas im gone ad it happens that sucks
F*ck the asshole that downed my comment,i guess fuckin limbs cracking like bombs every 5 secsonds along with a couple almost nailing me,nailed mmy house and hit a couple cars, very short food supply, barly any heat, stranded out in the country, couldnt go into town without being chased off by cops.yea some fuckin people have no fuckin idea what its like till your in it!
heck yes! it was bad! ugh, sucked majorly. i have to agree with you. food, heat, SHOWERS, you didn't have much, if any of that at all, like the video said, even wal mart was closed! the limbs were scary as helll. crackin and breaking all through the night...
I live in berryville arkansas and we had it bad here also. but was sad for the people that was without electric and stuff. we was without also but we was glad we had gas stove to keep us warm.
i live in Berryville but was stuck in Green Forest for 3 days at my brothers' house during the ice storm.i don't think i'll ever get the sound of limbs snapping and trees falling out of my head.i don't ever wanna see ice again!
The electric keeps going on and off for us. I hope you get power soon. We were told it would be shut down occasionally over the next 2 weeks. So keep that in mind.
Hey George, we live at the Links. Ron Broad is the Manager here and a very good friend of ours. Please give him a call. I'm sure he'll be able to hook you up. Here's his number: 870-365-3620. My name is Kathy Tarochione (pronounced Tark-EE-O-Nee, just like macaroni!) He'll know. I've been getting help from our Facebook friends. Unbelievable the power of social networking.
If anyone needs our help just give us a call asap and we will make our decision where we will be going based on what people need us to do and how much damage is in your area, we also would be needing a place to stay and would be willing to trade a place to stay for clean up work on your property...
My name is George and I am a tree man, I am gearing up and getting ready to come up to Arkansas, I have a Bobcat and I have chased storms for 15 years, My partner Richard and I are looking for a town to settle in to and start helping people get their yards cleaned up, we have many chain saws and we are reasonable with our rates, cont...
