92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97 that era was my favorite time, maybe it was cause i was a teen, but that little section was the best sounds, years ever.. the sound was just perfect, those years gave us some exellent emcees. like reef the lost cause says, "i'm from the era, where they measured skills". the hip hop i listen to today, all sound like they are still in the 90's because we are all the same age, and make the sound that we want to hear. the only radio i listen to, is college or the oldies..
i dont think its the beats, more or less the conversation in todays hip hop. just imagine what your favorite artist from back in the day would do to a beat from today. and also with todays days beats they set todays artist apart from other artist these days, because you know when you hear a certain kind of beat that only a few artist can really make good music with it
No doubt, but when you say anything that opposes the current bull**** you get called a "hater" and told that "things change" and "this isn't the 90's anymore".
its still there, and the youth still listens,
you just have to search harder, Illuminati be running the radio nowadays

AGREED! R.I.P. Anthony AKA Tony D. Ant was the best Break Hunter and dissector EVER! My heart is so heavy but I know he is tapping the SP in Heaven.
