  • It's Albert and his brother!!Together for the first time?

  • Brothers!

  • Best salesman ever!

  • Best salesman ever!!

  • what movie is this from?

  • @phish1085 Modern Romance

  • Funkhouser! No way.

  • What a great scene - masterful salesman. When someone tries this I usually walk away. In this case the advice is probably not too unsound but it is the principle of the thing.

I want to see this movie - I remember seeing it as a kid on tv - the foley scene. My Dad explained what foley means. I can use it to this day and 99% of the people still don't know what it means.

  • The Einstein brothers circa 1974. Can you believe Marty Funkhouser was once almost good-looking?

  • What? It's 1981??? Well must have been made in 79-80. Looks too too old.

  • Somebody I don't know at all is asking you to post more! Maybe even the whole thing. It's impossible to find.

  • There's people out there that only rape....That's all they do

  • Hey, it's Marty Funkhouser from Curb!!!

  • I misjudged you.

  • LOL

  • Buy the box. You'll like it.

  • AAHH! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I was doing a marathon viewing of "Curb Yout Enthusiasm" and started to think that Mary Funkhouser (Super Dave) was the same guy from this great scene. Been looking for it for weeks. Huge props!

  • Super Dave and A. Brooks are brothers.

  • The salesman? Super Dave Osborne!

  • i thought so! isn't he related to brooks?

  • I dunno but this scene is hilarious. Super Dave also is pretty funny in his cameo on "Arrested Development".

  • This seriously, might be my favorite film.

  • Funniest gag ever: when he picks up his date, drives around the block and drops her off again. Also, when he's playing "5th of beethoven" and says "I love my records" in a quaalude-induced stupor.

  • Also when he calls the girl that he barely knows and asks her out on a date ("and Ellen ... and Ellen ... "), and when she says "Im surprised to hear from you, I mean, you barely spoke to me at that party" and he glances at the phone in disbelief for a second and then says slurringly, "Ellen, dont be paranoid ..."

  • This whole movie is hilarious. A.Brooks at his best.

  • Please tell me the name of this film!! LOL I work in a running shop and that is soo true!!!! LOL LOL hahahaha

  • It's from "Modern Romance" (1981)

  • Cheers mate

  • Hulk running? It should be labeled Hulk screaming.

  • Yes thanks for posting. Wish we could see more of these...

  • funny fucker

  • so many funny lines. Some of them, I don't even know why they make me laugh but they do - " you gonna run broke?"

  • "I misjudged ya. I'm not perfect. Buy the box, you'll like it."

  • I work in a runing shop and it ain't far from the truth - ya can spot a novice from miles away!!! LOL

  • Love Albert Brooks...funny guy.

  • You want happiness? Get away from the box.

  • The salesman in that scene is Brooks' real-life older brother, Bob "Super Dave Osborne" Einstein.

  • absolutely-Officer Judy from the old Smothers Brothers program-one of the funniest scenes I ever seen,I remember seeing this on HBO or Showtime way back in the day when it was a fairly new release-great,great movie-loved the Quallude scene too
