If you've ever been to or seen vids of the first actual melbourne shuffle it looks nothing like any of the dances that are done today called the shuffle.

Every version you see today, such as hardstyle and softstyle (yes there is a softstyle, and none of you have any right or authority to say there isn't) are all drastic alterations of the original dance.

So in theory one who adheres to the first (some would say true) melbourne shuffle dance could say that hardstyle dancing doesn't exist.
