You would definitely have to see the backside in this particular watch's case before saying it's a replica or not. That said, judging from the movement and the fact that the opus v comes in platinum or rose gold, my money is on this being genuine. Also, for those that can't tell time on it, the minute hand goes up the left side and lines up with the hour block.
Will be hard to create a replica of this without very specialised equipment to duplicate parts such as the ball bearing used in the retrograde minutes.
lol can someone tell me what this is? i know i know. but i got led into this cus...you know how youtube works. anyways, i see a lot of comments are just like 'wow, masterpiece, ect' i want to know how this watch works and whats so good about this compare to a rolex. and why so complicated?
@twinkywinky711 It is all mechanical and not really a whole lot out there like it. Notice how the hours rotate and the minutes are not typical of a normal timepiece. Rolex is very traditional with hours seconds and minutes that rotate from the center. This is just off the wall compared to a traditional luxury timepiece.
your totally missing my point!, it is a watch yes? so Obviously its telling the time yes?thats what watches do!, but other than that cant make head / tail of it! hence the final enquirey, Whats it doing?
I suggest you just STF up! and stop trying to be a clever Knacker! for some reason you seem to think I was initially asking the question of you personally, why would I do that?, It was simply an expression of bermusement which has been similarly expressed elsewhere, get off my f-----g case!
your not making sense! I made it obvious no further response was from you was warranted, bond between us? you started it ! fuck off!!. Are you on drugs?!!
there is no way this watch could be replicated cheaply, the complexity in this watch would make it just as expensive as the original. All the money you pay is for the development of the movement, these type of watches take years to perfect, even with the latest CAD technology. Its an incredible piece of mechanical art. I would love to have it in my collection.
HA.H.AH.AHA... THAT IS RIDICULOUS. HA.H.AH.AH.HA.HA.H.A... HA.H.H. If I was rich I would buy that sht too just to say I have one or to play with it.. ha.h.aha.a
that one is on ebay for 249.995$ !!! the good thing about it is if you buy it you know you wont see a fucking kid wearing the watch latter becouse i think there is no fake opus and no fake ur 202 or something like that and if there is let me know
Also, just to elaborate, the Chinese are good at faking dial train modifications, but when it comes to the actual timing train and real mechanical changes they can't do anything, otherwise we'd see all sorts of amazing things like this from China.
maybe they can but the stuff they make is cheap that is why the people buy from them , so if they do something like this is not going to be cheap , is going to be really expensive and for that we have (swiss made) no one would buy china watch for 20.000$ for example .what do u think?
Actually, people do spent a lot on some Chinese watches.
The Beijing Watch Factory makes really nice and completely unique watches, they've been around for a long time and their watches are far better than the fakes coming from some other places in China.
It's not about where the watches are made, it's simply about quality.
For example, i'd rather have a watch by George Daniels of London than anything from Switzerland.
wow, amazing watch, i have a collection of Bvlgary's and cartier's watchs, but i see that i have to include the harry winston watchs to my collection, very rare and amazing watch.
Don't be so hard on Alex; he wasn't that far from the truth: the vast majority of H.Winston watches are comparatively simple movements with spectacular bling. Winston _very_rarely_ touches spectacular complications like the one pictured here. If he owns Bulgary and Cartier, then a typical gold H.Winston mechanical is probably right up his alley.
I collect watches because i love watches and i paid for each watch that i have on my collection more than $350k, Bvlgari's and Cartier's watches have the perfection of the Winston's watchs, check out the Cartier's Ballon Bleu and the bvlgari's Assioma. The diference is not the cost, is the rarely mechanical system in the Winston's watches.
I have yet to see a watch whose band is made with such exquisite care, topped with the priciest jewels, that it is known most for its band/bracelet. Now there's an idea for Mr. Biver and director Lemania complications.
wow the price went down they qouted me $200,000 plus in I think it was 03

This watch does not cost $105,000 anymore. It's now at least double that amount!

The revolving satellite complication was developed by Baumgartner & Frei (Urwerk) and later used in their 202 series.

the watches you say you have do not come anywhere close in value to the Harry Winston watches especially this one which sells for over $350K
