@xNSAxWarHawk It's a RARE drop...if you're trying to get it at this point in the game, I'd really recommend waiting until you get to the Reverse Clocktower instead. By then you'll have stuff like Luck potions, and Ring of Arcana, etc to boost your chances of getting it, and you can kill more of the knights at once.

It's rather annoying to watch me play this game. I am in the group of people who face the opposite direction and dodge backwards to go forward.... combine that with an emulators speed-pitching and it's fucking... solace.

Me too. I been trying for weeks. nearly got it last night. I activated the book/bible attack and quickly changed to the wolf so it would kill the skulls as I jumped through the air. I think it can be done this way but you need a lot of patience.

You do not need Double Jump to access Clock Tower. You only need Wolf Form and expert platforming skills

SoTN is indeed non-linear; but there are still certain required relics or items that are needed to pass each area.

It may be non-linear, but for the initial progression in the game, there's an order that you will generally recieve powers in. To go to areas without the intended power is simply called "sequence breaking". (see damn near every metroid speed run, sequence is broken everywhere). However, once you have all the mobility powers, then it truly is open, since there's no more ordering of abilities.

I never said there was an intended way to beat the entirety of SoTN; I said there was an intended way to beat the Clock Tower. You need the Double Jump or Bat to get up the tower; Alucard can't make it with his regular jump alone. "Intended" may have been the wrong choice of words, but I still don't consider using bugs to get through an area without the proper ability to be the "intended" way to clear that area. Bugs are unintentional by their very nature after all.

I was supporting your argument. There IS an intended way to progress in the early game. Though, this is mostly to make sure that the "cutscenes" are in proper sequence, and to force you to fight enemies in increasing strength order.

I was also explaining the difference between what redzonic said, and what you were talking about. The method he describes is "sequence breaking" the early game.

Buy the Open Jewel from the Librarian, then go back to the Alchemy Lab and go through the blue door before the boss room to the Chapel. Go through it, and eventually you'll reach another area and the relic that lets you double jump.

Those cloaked knights at 6:15 drop a very rare sword very strong, not the strongest but the deal is. You dont have to stop moving to use it. its like the sword they use. its awsome :)

For the third gear in the clock tower. What move are you using to hit it when you jump above it and then slam down?

Double jump kick, basically, just press down (or down/left or right) after a double jump to jump kick something. Can do another jump if you hit something successfully.

Oh, it's cause I used the Luck Mode code at the name entry screen, you just enter "X-X!V''Q" (X, dash, X, exclamation point, V, apostrophe, apostrophe, Q) when you start a new game, and when you play as Alucard you have really low stats in everything but luck.
