It's so horrible. The fact that we no longer could have 'friends' on our old channels was bad enough, but now this new design must go. Our videos look all bunched up and everything about it is messy. I see no joy in it. And I've tried to adapt to it and make it look personalized, but it just doesn't work.
Anybody who likes this new design is absolutely insane.
How can we see subscribed channels on other peoples channels? All I see is a number of subscribers, but I can only see my own subscribers channels and nobody elses.

@JW514 zippcast.com is the perfect alternative, it looks just like the good ol' 2006 - 2009 youtube, it's got the star rating system and everything, but the site is under construction still, and you won't be able to log in until it's fixed, the website will load though, but it's slow. Although for some reason youtube didn't force us to change yet like they were supposed to, I think if you just don't click the thing that says "click here to try the new channels design" you should be fine
I have an idea for payback: Everyone who hates the new layout should make their channel invisible. Think about it! 99% of YouTube channels invisible! Thumbs up!

I love the way my channel looks, the colors, everything. I don't do Facebook or any other social site. I enjoyed youtube because it's all about my music/art interests. I had control over details and spent lots of time arranging my videos a certain way. I didn't complain because I kept my page the way I liked it. The only thing that will stop YouTube is if everyone stopped clicking on any advertisements, even promoted videos; don't click or buy anything that has been monetized. Delete as many accounts as possible and when CNN or any other News Agency promotes a "cute, funny,sad etc" video don't watch it. No People = No Money = No Power = No Control = Death of YouTube's STUPID CHANGES. Do this to all sites with communistic ideas and watch how fast they fall. Without us they are but dust in the wind.

Don't make your channels unavailable as it is supposed to be hellish getting them visisble again. Make your vids private and paint your channels black except for BOYCOTT SUPPORTER in white. Re do them on the 2nd.

I switched my channel back to the old look, but I don't think most people will bother to do so. For people's channels on the new look, how do you view their interests, subscribers, channel comments, etc? I don't get it at all. Another thing - When you're on a video, they changed the link to the channel to a button.
What I don't like about that is that I used to right click the link and open the channel in a new window. Now I can only leave the video to get to the channel. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll tell what I like about the changes they made. When I log in to see my subscriptions, instead of a grouping, it's just a long ass list. Nice. Also I really like how they eliminated the info that told you if you had new messages when you logged in. That was cluttering the whole screen.
I also like how I they switched everyone's personal page over to the new one automatically. This just means that it will eventually become the default you can't change!!! I love no options. They're great!
After about two weeks I still haven't found a single benefit to the new layout other than to piss off everyone. Nor can I figure it out either. PLEASE Anonymous or whoever, hack the site back to what it was.
Or just shoot whoever keeps changing things at YouTube for no effing reason.
It should be changed back to how it was before the last change, when was that in 2009? You could see how many people had rated the comments, good or bad. Friends are gone, why????!

I switched my channel back to the old look, but I don't think most people will bother to do so. For people's channels on the new look, how do you view their interests, subscribers, channel comments, etc? I don't get it at all. It seems like YT is really trying to kill the social networking aspect of their site.

What's the point YT brought a new look instead of enhance or add more feature to channel setting every each one has put efforts, build kinship, and feel like home for years?

The worst of all, they got rid of "Friends" and says it's the same to subscribers.
This is a serious mentality same as it causes this whole world dries up.

Another thing - When you're on a video, they changed the link to the channel to a button.
What I don't like about that is that I used to right click the link and open the channel in a new window. Now I can only leave the video to get to the channel. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell what I like about the changes they made. When I log in to see my subscriptions, instead of a grouping, it's just a long ass list. Nice. Also I really like how they eliminated the info that told you if you had new messages when you logged in. That was cluttering the whole screen.

I also like how I they switched everyone's personal page over to the new one automatically. This just means that it will eventually become the default you can't change!!! I love no options. They're great!
After about two weeks I still haven't found a single benefit to the new layout other than to piss off everyone. Nor can I figure it out either. PLEASE Anonymous or whoever, hack the site back to what it was.
Or just shoot whoever keeps changing things at YouTube for no effing reason.

Yeah, of all the sites I've seen make a new layout, this one is by far the worst. The old layout is much better not to mention much friendlier. But as with all changes in the internet they are not going to go back to the old layout. We'll have to just get used to it until they make it worse

This new layout is not for us (The Public) nor has it been updated in this format to make it more users friendly.
It has been designed & built this way making it easier to track you, compile data and info in regards to the study of the masses throughout the world.
