Difference in color? More than that, those are different sprites. Similar? Yes. There are two blank slots in the "Bombs" menu section, but they've been blurred out.

I have no idea what project this is or when it was started nor do I care. I guess we'll never see another good metroid game (official) after that turd Metroid M came out.
This really isn't all that much of an AMAZING game, because, well, its mostly just the new moves and the animation. All that other stuff didn't impress me much. All of this is mostly graphical, and the new moves thing can only mean more puzzle solving and more trick stuff. Im not saying this is a bad game, infact im saying the opposite, but Metroid is Metroid, so keep it like that.
This looks better than the stuff from Nintendo! (Ingnoring the fact that nintendo made the initial sprites, artwork, etc.)
Honestly, even if they refuse to aknowledge fan games, developers should seriously take the time to at least look at them. There are tons of elements here (including the amazing smooth water entrace animation at 1:23) that I would love to see in future Metroids.

i always thought that metroid should stay as side scrollers, i mean, you gotta admit, the sidescrollers were some of the best sidescrollers ever , at least in my opinion. Prime1 was pretty cool, but after that i didnt really like the games.

the hell are you talking about? Other M is a lot like the main games. It has hidden powerups, Samus moves quickly, it's explorative, especially after the game's over, it has interlocking paths, it has Ridley, and it has multiple other qualities.
@edward18517 almost every game has ridley, only 2 didnt, so thats thats like manditory practicly, and no there is no exploration, the powerups are revealed to you by the blue lights on your map, they give it away,and there are only like 2 rooms in the whole game witch has interlocking paths, and I would love to hear about these "multiple other qualities" oh and another thing, there is no music, and when there is it sucks becuase it some crappy loop. the only good music is the ridley battle and..
There is exploration in Other M, items have been revealed in other Metroid games before just as blatantly, and there are far more than 2 rooms with interlocking paths.
Also, you said there was no music, when there obviously is and the music is pretty nice adding for quite good atmosphere. And all video game music loops.

You don't run in Prime, at least not nearly as fast as the main series. In Other M you do. And you don't go into 2D in Other M. 2D is a graphical term. The game is 3D. It has gameplay relations, whether or not you want to admit it.

Yes they do- its called "it aged poorly". Look it up, it might just save you're life (from ancient games) and perhaps you're pride at this point. Now I'm not one to disagree that certainly every old game has had its moment or its 15 minutes of fame, but theirs a point when even you have to admit that gaming as a culture or whatever the hell its become... is hell bent on ending you're nostalgia and moving on. I would personally just get over it and find something new to play.

As for RE, 4 is the single worst main game of the series. It has little to no relevance to anything else, Leon was turned into an ass, the villains are crap, it became an action adventure instead of sticking to survival horror, the voice acting, even by RE standards, was pure garbage, the inventory was rediculously huge even when you first start, and it was all around the biggest let-down of the games.

@edward18517 because its nothing like metriod, it has cheesy overdramatic cutscenes that switch to slow motion every 10 seconds, no exploration becuase your on one set path its just room after room there are no dividing rooms, say like a 4 door room, not just one door, witch makes it too short and too easy, and they show you where all the pick ups are, all of them, it takes place on the bottle ship only, like fusion, witch it boring, and it more action then anything! witch is also boring.

the hell are you talking about? Other M is a lot like the main games. It has hidden powerups, Samus moves quickly, it's explorative, especially after the game's over, it has interlocking paths, it has Ridley, and it has multiple other qualities.

@edward18517 almost every game has ridley, only 2 didnt, so thats thats like manditory practicly, and no there is no exploration, the powerups are revealed to you by the blue lights on your map, they give it away,and there are only like 2 rooms in the whole game witch has interlocking paths, and I would love to hear about these "multiple other qualities" oh and another thing, there is no music, and when there is it sucks becuase it some crappy loop. the only good music is the ridley battle and..

There is exploration in Other M, items have been revealed in other Metroid games before just as blatantly, and there are far more than 2 rooms with interlocking paths.
Also, you said there was no music, when there obviously is and the music is pretty nice adding for quite good atmosphere. And all video game music loops.
You didn't prove anything other than you're upset.

...you're just flat-out lying if you say Hunters is like playing Metroid. Prime 3 is barely passable, but there is no way in hell that Prime Hunters feels like a Metroid game.
And Other M plays more like the classics in many ways than any of the Prime games do.

You don't run in Prime, at least not nearly as fast as the main series. In Other M you do. And you don't go into 2D in Other M. 2D is a graphical term. The game is 3D. It has gameplay relations, whether or not you want to admit it.

They took away the sound FX too, when you pick up and item it dosent make the iconic metriod melody. the game sucks so much it took me two comments to prove it!.

....what the bloody fuck are you talking about? Games don't suddenly become worse just cause they're older. If they're good they're good. Even in this day and age Earthworm Jim is still some of the best animation seen in 2D sidescrolling. It is art. They hand-drew every single movement that each character does. Added to that it was done by Doug Tenapel.
And no, they don't make Jak and Daxter games anymore (though they really should). And the only games of Crash that are worth it are 1, 2, and 3

Yes they do- its called "it aged poorly". Look it up, it might just save you're life (from ancient games) and perhaps you're pride at this point. Now I'm not one to disagree that certainly every old game has had its moment or its 15 minutes of fame, but theirs a point when even you have to admit that gaming as a culture or whatever the hell its become... is hell bent on ending you're nostalgia and moving on. I would personally just get over it and find something new to play.

As for RE, 4 is the single worst main game of the series. It has little to no relevance to anything else, Leon was turned into an ass, the villains are crap, it became an action adventure instead of sticking to survival horror, the voice acting, even by RE standards, was pure garbage, the inventory was rediculously huge even when you first start, and it was all around the biggest let-down of the games.

RE4 was complete crap. The story was stupid, even by RE standards. It had nothing to do with anything else. Leon acted like a complete ass. And it shouldn't have been a parody by the point 4 came out. Not after the effort put into things like Remake and Code Veronica. It killed off ****ing Umbrella in the intro paragraph for god's sake! What the hell's that crap? At least UC was made to better explain things.

I care. A lot of fans cared. If you don't remember how's about you check the history of Resident Evil boards from back then? Leon may have been ditzy and a clutz, but he was making me wanna rip my ears off in 4 most the time. He was a complete failure as a secret government agent. There is no way in hell he'd pass as one in real life. His attitude first and foremost wouldn't allow that.
And the inventory was a problem from the start. You pretty much had an army you carried around the whole game

Pitty this is a fan made game, we would prefer if it was official, like Zero Mission (remake of Metroid 1). But there's no problem, this game looks really cool, official or not. But thinking well, if this is a remake of the same story, doesn't matter if it's official or not.
I can't wait to play this game! I don't have patience to play Metroid 1 and 2, because there are no maps, so I just watched the walkthroughs on YouTube to know the ends. Let's see this remake!
