Bullshit, let the impatient riders wait (you're probably one). No one riding the bus is going to be having a fit as I have done this with my bike several times. You're one of those negative people that always wants to find fault in everything. Maybe you should look in the mirror and take a serious look at your own faults first.

I'm a very patient rider.

Where I grew up and where my parents still live (Staten Island, NY) there is a very intolerant attitude towards cyclists. I would have loved to see a bike-to-bus option there when I lived there, though--as the Verazzano Bridge to Brooklyn has no bike lanes and the only option is to ride the bike to the Staten Island Ferry and then ride into Brooklyn over the Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridge. I live in Israel now and I am not sure Israelis would like bikes on their buses either

There has been talk of adding something like this to buses that cross the Verazzanno Narrows Bridge from Staten Island NY to Brooklyn-until they build a bike lane across the bridge or do that, the only way to get to Brooklyn by bike from SI is to take your bike to the SI ferry into Manhattan,then bike across the Brooklyn,Manhattan or Williamsburg bridges
