  • I feel no sympathy. They were stupid enough to join the military, they got what they deserved.

  • @FLICKtheUSA nice one come onto a video about remembrance you must feel great about yourself!! count yourself lucky you were born in this era and not in the times of WWI or WWII to face conscription you wouldnt be complaining like the spoiled bitch you are! i suppose the lads who volunteered in those wars were idiots aswell??

  • Before my grandfather died; he said to me " It has been over 2000 years;else jesus was died. We could feed the world if we wanted too. but we still don't; why are we battling the same problems over and over again. when we know the solutions! " (I wish, I could help; with some of the problems in our world)

  • THe government are keeping the true casualties numbers from this war supressed. THey never mention the people who die from their injuries years after the effects of trauma. ALso the people who have been so badly injured have also died in a way as their lifes have been ruined. THe bottom line is its thousands, not hundreds as the media put it as. Thier results are not even from accurate statistics

  • 80% of the casualties in Iraq were civilians killed by agressive British and Amercian soldiers hell there is a video of amercians flying in a chopper mowing down scores of civilians which are unarmed and laughing and joking about it.

some are genuinely good but there are a lot a hell of a lot of murdering pigs who deserved to lose limbs and die.

  • This jurno is a noisy parker ...why would he ask the stupid questions that he is..Show some god dam respect....

Im sick and tired of news reporters showing no respect to soldiers that have dies in battle risking their lives for the freedoms that allow jurnos to report these stories..SHOW SOME RESPECT

  • why do men fight it makes no sence

why cant men sit down and talk problems through

we never learn and young men pay the price

  • @nylonTS but thankfully there are young men and women who pay that price so we have the liberty to do as we please.

  • RIP my heart goes out to every one that died out there specialy john thornton and phill allen swift and bold

  • if you dont get tears in your eyes while watching this... i guess i have no soul then ...

  • very sad to hear and see all this stuff....although am against allied army but really cried to see a mother and a lovley little child left all alone ...am sorry kid this word is so harsh .........damn and fuck all those who wants to fight again and again ...please stop it now

i hate wars ...we need peace now //peace forever pleaseeeeee

a request from a brother in pakistan

  • The Finest Documentary Ever Made.

  • i cry nearlly everytime i watch this video

makes me so proud of our lads!

  • Why you saying england !!! theres welsh and Scottish people out there fighting ? British army ! hate english so much pffff

  • @loydr2005 And we hate you, fukin prik!!!!

  • @loydr2005 fuck off u freak have some respect

  • F**k you hardogg19! Lost someone yourself? No? Hmmm, probably your whole family sticks to superclever talking instead of doings. Poor coward.

  • Fuck off u Americana.

  • the dedication was a disgrace because the 300 lives lost is not more worthy than the thousands of iraqi's that lost their lives.if u were on a mission to bring freedom to the people of iraqi and end up making them a victim then am sorry but theres no victim here then

  • British documentrys are the best!! This and Wounded are perfect examples that war isnt the video game, you cant respawn back to the game. Respect to all service men and women whos has been in harms way.

  • I have been reading through comments made on here, and am disgusted at what some people have written, this is a very moving film made to remember all our fallen heroes, show some respect. My son is the son of the first soldier, and no doubt as he gets older he will be watching this too, Its not fair for him or anyne else to see such comments .

  • god bless u all RIP...

  • Thank you JohnSmithTheSeconds - Great posts.

  • they need money let them go let them die lol

  • @hamidmj143 Could you elaborate please?

  • Very sad , brave , dedicated , professional and humble men / women. There sacrifices will never be forgotten.

  • was he a football player?

  • @sexybritgent oh fuck off prick this video is about the lads who have died not a place for your unexperienced comments u wana do that then fuck off to another video if you think theres oil in afghan then i suggest you go back to school

  • @Vinny86100 , there is gas near kandahar, and oil lines going across from kaspian. also as afghanistan is near iran there is lots of oil stratas below the desert. china paid 3bn for a copper mine in afghanistan. no minerals in afghanistan?

  • @sexybritgent Just fuck off will you! This is not for politics!!!!! Show some respect!

  • @Vinny86100 Well said mate!

  • @sexybritgent BLOCKED!

  • @sexybritgent I fully agree with all you say, dont forget the mineral wealth of Afghanistan they have recently "Discovered" they knew exactly what was there since the Russians surveyed in the 80's.There's a trillion dollars worth of Lithium out there that is free from maganese inclusions which is costly to remove.Lithium is to power the world, the new "oil",everything, from watches to cars will have lithium batteries. The army is a death sentance, unless your in command in a bunker 30 miles away.

  • moving, my band is called " the fallen ones" for all the fallen, i have one song at the moment but have written more and will upload asap, song if u want to listen is " the fallen ones, a life once lived", for anyone who wants to listen cheers

  • I think anyone thinking about joining the army should watch all 20 parts of this.

I've watched it all now, and it hasn't stopped me wanting to join up after I finish university.

  • Well said mate!

  • yeah I agree with both of you, I have watched this a few times now, brilliant film, my heart goes out to all the families, I still want to become a marine, still training and getting fit with apply again soon.

  • @Malcolmk133 same its giving me more reason to join

  • Nice that there's footage of the children of the service men who have lost thier lives. Very touching. But why no footage of Iraqi or Afghan kids blown to bits or maimed by British or American ordinance? This film shows only one side of the story of these conflicts.

War is justified in the following manner: By thinking ...

    Our side = humans.

The other side = non-human scum.

  • You ever been to Iraq or Afgainistan then mate ?

Nope didnt think so , your just another leftwing liberal shit cunt who forms an opinon based on which copie of the fuckin Gaurdian you've read this week!

  • And you're another worthless right-wing idiot fuck who knows but hatred for the world and everything in it. You right wing assfuckers are the same everywhere: Hatred for anything decent. The remainder of humanity lives amongst your criminality.

Otherwise, piss the fuck off, you uselesss cocksucker. I'd bash your motherfucking skull in without a thought of mercy. You're useless.

  • The only thing (decent) I can see here is men with more bollocks than you will ever have !

As bashing my skull in ?? Son we both know it aint gonna happen because your fuck all and you know it ! Time to get off Mummys PC its a school day tomorrow!

  • What's up worthless right-wing idiot fuck? I see you're still a useless fuck.

  • take you head for a shit you muggy tit!

  • I blocked the cunt

  • Comment removed

  • I can see where you're coming from, but this isn't exactly a great recruitment tool is it. All applicants to any armed service recognise they're putting their lives on the line, and (in a less literal sense) their families lives also.

    Good luck in the RAMC.

  • Nah, you kiss mine you prick...........

  • lizzylizardson, dont post on here, you list your country of origin as Romania, if thats true then stick to affairs were you belong.

Your idiotic comments are not welcome here.......

  • This is not a movie about the rights and wrongs about these wars. It is a story about its consequenses- one of many stories of course. The dead cant speak- their families can. Show them at least som respect.

  • That gave me chills at 1:45

  • God bless all who serve and wait for their return.

    lizzylizardson, thumbs down.

    DISCUSTING COMMENT LIZZY.

  • You Get Choked Up In Every Part Of This, All The Way Through Them All, Anybody Who Doesnt, Does Not Have A Heart,

  • giebogi, you have no idea what you are talking about, no concept at all...

Spout your politics in your own country, and to be honest, you Serbs are a fine one to tell us, kettle calling pot?

  • giebogi I get your point but could you not have put it with a bit more tact!

  • this whole documentry neally made me cry when i watched it on bbc but it didnt put me off joining the army it just made me more proud that im joining them

  • Just a quick message, if anyone is wanting a copy of this, just google Minnow Films and contact them. I got my copy - it costs but less than a tenner and definitely worth it.

  • It breaks your heart...

  • mad respect from the U.S. I'm about to go to the fucking desert.

  • This is a great watch. Great stories, huge grief. Brill imo.

  • Everyone in England should watch this !

  • @warriorvet Everyone in the world.

  • @JohnSmithTheSecond Everyone in the universe!

  • @warriorvet everyone in the states should as well

  • I am so proud of them men/women.

    Fucking hell thankyou

  • Terribly disappointed this didn't get a BAFTA tonight.

    Stunning.

  • Thanks for adding. Truly moving documentary, and it makes me so proud of all those fighting for our country. Thankyou, and god bless. Come home safe.

  • They are not fighting for our countries, they are fighting for liars & profiteers.God has nothing to do with it,god most likely doesn't exist.Religion is just another tool to dupe us into sending our children to die for NOTHING.

It looks like a good doc,I'll watch the rest when I have more time.

  • these soldiers family friends need support, they are all brave boys.the guys come back alive sometimes are hurt most. god bless

  • Well i guess that's one good thing to get out of this. For every British soldier that dies Russia would lose 10 more because your army is and always has been shite, an army that relys on sheer numbers, not quality. Have fun living in your backwards eastern european shithole.

  • The most thought provoking piece of television i've seen. People of Britain, the papers and news show virtually no interest and don't seem to care about our killed and injured, and their families. It disgusts me and makes me less proud of the country they're fighting for. Shame on us....

    Thank you for posting.

    L

  • Truly outstanding. Musics perfect, this is reality TV not the mindless crap on MTV.

  • I agree with you.

  • was in the stan for over 2yrs and saw these young men perform. i went all over ,Bagram, Kand, Masar, ect , the welcome at the British bases was second to none! Professional and polite and always with a cup of sprog on the end of it .These heroes deserve the very best support we can muster, God bless them all. J.

  • yeah, nicely put

  • this totally choke me up. and this is only the first part. this should be shown every day prime time tv , least we forget. very moving.

  • I agree

  • im off to afgan in september, makes me proud to have served along with some of these guys

  • Im going in august, bless these boys, finest ever was..

  • I am joining the British Army this year so this documentary struck a chord with me when I saw it on TV.

  • Qoute from the book "Tomorrow we attack again."

"When the british soldiers returned home, they where welcomed by honor guards and music corps, in every garrison town."

"The danish soldiers slept in through the backdoor, with only their closest family and friends noticing."
