Of course he isn't going to live up to the hype. It was out of this world. RCA projected he would get to 450,000 by January, which is what he has done. You said his album flopped, and that is not even close to being one. Now you know THAT.

Your comments about his career are very optomistic, but that's just the problem. We see him as a star, but he has yet to do anything to prove it.

American Idol gave us the impression that Adam is a superstar already. That's the way we see him and we all want him to be, but everytime he does something, it proves that he's not. Let's face it, he's too self-indulgent, and he sees nothing wrong with any of his decisions, so how will he grow and learn from his mistakes?

It's just me. If you like his music, enjoy it. I know too much about him, and to tell you the truth, he's making it in spite of all the mistakes. What mistakes? He was a rocker on the show, but released a dance song as his first single. That disturbing album cover scared people away. His desire to be a "pop star" and trying to shock people with his sexual antics come off as desperate and unnecessary for an artist thought of as being the "next big thing." I'll enjoy his music when he puts out something good, but given what I know about him, I doubt that I could proclaim my love for him like you do.
