  • So Awsome.

  • I've got Fleetwood mac on iTunes, MP3, DVD, CD, LP, Tape & Betamax. I've watched and listened to each of them countless times. I play their videos as background music for hogmany/parties/getting drunk and listened to their music when i'm chilling. Now Miley Cyrus on the other hand I've probably seen her video on youporn or something like that and doesn't really have the calming effect that F'mac achieves on every single one of their performances. I don't give a sh**p what youtube says.

  • CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIN yea

  • Gee if you are going on a swearing spree, you should at least spell correctly. Nothing worse than an illiterate foul mouth. Mick Fleetwood may be an insane, but what the heck is an INSAIN drummer. Who is Christen? is that the same person as Christine?

  • @dianson Maybe you should make sure your english is in proper order before going off on others about theirs. Besides, if you're that stupid that you can't figure out what he's talking about due to one or two very minor typos, maybe you should just forget about the internet altogether.

  • what does the song mean??

  • @vavadoom its the chain that binds them together even though the broken up as a couple because they are in the same band. if you see them now your will see a much more mature love that only years and understanding can share. Many times it is not meant to last but have an impact that you will cherish forever!

  • Who's Miley Cirrus?.

  • Comment removed

  • The artistry produced by these 5 people was magic. When they came together a chord played in Heaven. I wish all 5, including Christine, would come together one more time.

  • Lindsey always blows me away ...but esp. w/this solo...This was a special song w/a special person,& he'd always crack up when i'd break into this head shaking jam ,while driving.Stevie,Christine,John & Mick...all absotruckinglutely amazing.

  • Miley is a product of Bill and Disney!! LMAO Makes for a cheesier combination!!! And Fleetwood should never be in the same sentence as her...They are REAL musicians! and Classic Icons.... She is just a product of her Generation... and Fleetwood Mac CAUSED their Generation!!

  • you want to hear a man sing from his soul well this is it boys and girls lindsey and stevie had just broken up and this was the result ........music at its raw best .......

  • The BBC have used the fast section for Formula 1 for as long as i remember ! Wish they would still use it for the Moto GP bike racing! They used Muse then The Prodigy.Great bands....But we want The Chain back !! Peace Ye`all !!

  • one of greatest bass beats!!!! awesome song

  • How is there 16 dislikes???? How can you not love this video!!!????? :O

  • muito bom,faz lembrar a cervejaria sion.

    QUE SAUDADES!

  • lindsay rocks mick still looks demented and the girls are great... great view

  • Wow...great performance here. Lindsey is the balls on guitar. Just fabulous. Thanks for posting.

  • I have never seen a more charismatic couple than stevie and lyndsey, they feed of each other.x

  • the sound is poor, and foul language below abounds. Tsk!

  • how do you know if foul language abounds if the sound is poor?

  • @79midlo I was making comments about 2 things. The video sound, at least from the start, before I quit trying to hear it, wasn't good.

The other comment had to do with the juvenile use of foul language and name-calling. A Chimpanzee has better manners IMO. Really, tho - it's stupid to keep throwing those words around. Otherwise, when they REALLY have something to say that requires profanity to make an important point, nobody will really take them seriously, and will instead assume its OK.

  • lol!! Even if you don't have an extensive knowledge of all things Stevie Nicks, which you clearly don't, any idiot can tell that that hair is early 80's, not 70's.

  • @JackBauerAlwayRules Um, no, lol. It wasn't.

  • @JackBauerAlwayRules It was written in the 70's and taped here from the mirage tour...1982

  • @JackBauerAlwayRules Well at least you admit it's a story....

  • @JackBauerAlwayRules I might have to look it up cause I know afro's were popular then but I don't think I'm wrong. 1982 is what the thingy sez

  • @JackBauerAlwayRules Anger problems?

  • God this performance is intense

  • might just be an act..but lindsey and stevie look like drama's been unfolding between them..

  • Not only is Buckingham an AMAZING guitarist, he also plays with nothing buy his fingers, meaning NO PICK! He is truly one of a kind

  • @spikeminoda148 Knopfler and Wilko Johnson play without a pick.

  • Lindsey looks so disgusted with Stevie in this performance!

  • just great

  • HAD to listen to FANTASTIC talent. THANK you Fleetwood Mac. Never the like again. Be happy.

  • Lindsey rocked that like no other ever has or ever could.

  • Buckingham has to be rated as one of the best guitarists around and sadly one of the most underated..

As a below average guitarist I am spell bound by his techniques ..outstanding.

  • mmm xxxxxxx

  • Excellent

  • Nice hat douche

  • One word---INTENSE!!!

  • ROCK ON>>>>>WE ARE ALL STILL THERE LIVING IN THE GREAT 70's

  • there's a big difference between artists like Fleetwood Mac and performers like Cyrus. Just about anyone could be Cyrus...

  • Awesome guitar riff by Lindsay beginning around 3:45. Utterly fantastic, I thought the darn guitar was gonna catch fire! :)

  • this vid is proof that coke makes folk annoying and self indulgent...even lindsey buckingham.

  • i love the way they sing. fucken hardcore

  • lindsey is the greatest .........drunk or high. Fleetwood mac, The Eagles, Sir Elton john, and so many more were great...... We could only wish the artist today were drunk or high, maybe they could wright thier own music and just maybe it would be worth listening to.

  • Stevie and Lindsey look really mad at each other throughout this whole song lol

  • @guitar4everr101 That's because they were having relationship troubles (so the rumors said at the time...hence the album name Rumors...they and the the McVies were breaking up their marriages)

  • Oh my god, how can you compare stevie nicks to anybody on this planet???

  • i guess its true buckingham is great in the art of bringing a scalding to thou strings

  • Miley Cyrus VS FM... please ...

Being popular doesn't necessarily make you any GOOD. Lucky, maybe but not good. Some Lucky people have talent, and some talented people have luck. The trouble is ANYBODY can make you think they have talent when all they have been is lucky.

FM were massive before Miley was an itch in her Daddy's pants... sorry sweetie.

I could go on about manufactured pop all night but I want to go sleep.

For the OP - Liam, we share the same last name :-)

  • lindsey has to be either high or drunk as a bitch

  • Love this record. It speaks of all that went on between Stevie and Lindsey - and he is still mad at her! Fantastic group, one of the best. They don't make them like this anymore.

  • This is an intense emotion for the whole band. Especially lead singers!

  • hahahahaha...did someone actually compare fleetwood mac and miley cyrus?!? you've got to be kidding me! not even in the same leagues!! fleetwood mac writes, sings, and plays allllll of their music. it is art. miley cyrus is a product of disney! can we say auto-tune?!? give me a break LOL.

  • @hobocamp79 LOL! Exactly right!!!!!!

  • to my love mark

  • to my love Lindsey

  • i dont know who the fuck "cyrus" is, and i honestly dont give a rats ass.

Fleetwood mac is, and allways will be the greatist. Lindsey Buckingham is the awesomest guitarist ever! Mick Fleetwood is an INSAIN drummer! and Stevie and Christen Sound amazing! John's Bass riff is like the awesomest ever!

  • THEY MEAN MILEY CYRUS

  • I am 21 years old and i enjoy UK Grime, r n b and funky house....

but STILL love Mac thanks to my mum, its such good stuff anyone can and should enjoy it!

  • moondoogle your completely correct f. mac forever

  • It's because miley cyrus is young and popular.

Young people, those who buy the records, want to hear other young people singing. Back in the 70's-80's Fleetwood Mac had their time to shine. They were young and popular, just like cyrus is today. And just like Cyrus, Fleetwood Mac had their share of blah sayers and elitists saying that THEY were crap, not real music like Elvis Presley, the Impalas, or Beach Boys.

Music evolves. Today's cyrus will be yesterday's fleetwood mac tomorrow.

  • Sorry dude you are way off. Cyrus is disposible pop music for kids.

  • So you don't think those kids will still be her fans 20 years from now? *shrug*

Doesn't she have her own movies and shows? Will her fans not like her movies/shows 20 years from now?

Look, my point is, cyrus fans love cyrus, and they most likely will love her 20 years from now, just like f. mac fans still love them today.

Stop being so elitist about music! People love what they grew up listening to. If they grew up listening to m. cyrus, that's what they will look for 20 years from now!

  • By your logic I should still be playing with hide and seek and watching Seasame Street, lol.

Will those kids like Miley Cyrus 20 years from now? No.

Will her fans like her movies 20 years from now? No.

Miley as a fad flavor of the month and nothing more. No substenance, no staying power, no talent.

    That's the difference.

  • Oh, now you're psychic? Whatever you say!

I still like many bands that I listened to as a child 20-25 years ago. :)

  • It doesn't take a psychic to know that Cyrus has no staying power. She's just one of the countless generations of forgotten bubblegum pop, and that's a fact.

  • "Today's 'Cyrus' will be yesterday's Mac"? Absolutely not. You are comparing apples and oranges. True Talent versus Faux Talent - DON'T get it twisted, my friend.

  • Only time will tell...but I won't be waiting to find out. I'm an F. Mac fan, not a cyrus fan, so in the long-term, doesn't matter.

  • I am not a music elitist. I have NO idea what miley cyrus even sounds like, nor do I care. However, I do know that during the era of Fleetwood Mac, there were plenty of naysayers who said F. Mac weren't true talent and only 50's music was "real" music.

It's the same generation after generation. Oh, boo hoo, the last generation's music was REAL music, today's music is crap, and tomorrow it will be the same *yawn* same old same old.

It is the way it is.

  • you can listen to this stuff drunk/high.. you can't listen to disney music.. as such kids will grow up, start drinking and listen to real music

  • there fucking go, a comment that makes some goddamn sence... blast, go to hell, even if people are overly obsessed with Cyrus now

20 years from now there gonna be like wtf why did i listen to that?

  • is there a fucking version of this on here that isn't live?

  • Now this is the the only line up worth seeing.

  • exactly I think kids should have better music

  • I'm confused as to why that miley cyrus crap has 18 million hits and this has 175,703? this is REAL talent and preforming

  • ye but seriously do u realise how many copies this record has sold

  • yea but still come on

  • Because that's accessible crap for children who don't want to listen to real music.

  • I'm sure if you combine ALL of Fleetwood Mac's videos they would blow miley cyrus out of the water...

  • i disagree it would only take one or maybe even half of one

  • You might be right :D

  • i think so too

  • Miley fucking Cyrus is not even in the same ocean as Fleetwood Mac, please...

  • I never said cyrus was in the same ocean, or even comparable to f. mac.

However, it would be elitist to think that fleetwood mac is more popular today than m. cyrus - it's just not true.

ONE Cyrus video has 46,028,157 views. The best F. Mac video has received 1.7m views. My point is, I'm sure if you combined ALL of F. Macs video's view counts, they would blow cyrus out the water.

Hope that clears things up for you.

  • Well, I did more searches - unfortunately even if you combine fleetwood mac videos view counts, they would pale in comparison to the cumulative total of cyrus videos view counts.

Sign of the times. F. Mac will always be in the hearts of those who love them, but they will never be as popular as they used to be. It is what it is.

  • Sign of the times my ass.

If you're doing serious research, get out of YouTube and look up the facts. Compare Mac sales to Miley sales, and keep in mind, they didn't have Disney channels and YouTubes and MTVs and televised concerts and celebrity dads and cute butts to make them popular. All they had was a stage and an instrument. They're musicians. Artist. Not skanky no-talent teens exploiting their tits for cash.

An opinion based on YouTube views is ridiculous anyway.

  • @BastEternal comparing cyrus to the Mac? you really are a douche

  • well i'm a teenager and i have always loved fleetwood mac!!! It's easy for people to say kids look up and watch miley cyrus because it's accesible, as i'm sure it it, but however if no one tells kids about these bands then they will never have the chance to find out for themselves what they think! I have loved songs such as landslide and rhiannon since i was about 5, but if it wasn't for my dad loving them then i still wouldn't have a clue who fleetwood mac are!!

  • Lindsey Buckingham is one of the top 3 pop guitar players ever.

  • Lindsay is soo amazing

  • lindsey buckenham the boy is a hunk in this

  • He definitely has gotten better with age..... I would love to get him between my sheets!!

  • the chorus was written by stevie.

  • lindsey Buckingham is the key member

  • there's no fm without stevie.

  • i just worked out that riff on acoustic g tar cooooool

  • i can play the bass riff it is da best bass riff in the world

  • My God - this song always gives me chills.

  • Perfect song, perfect perform, i like them better high

  • F1, Ayrton Senna's tragedy, Stevie's beauty, Lindsey's spirit, John's unique bass playing, and many more emotions...

This song to me is all this, it is DRAMATIC, and I love drama.

  • Bass line is the best....Mick Fleetwood on drums mad as a fish

  • bom, bom bom bom bom bom bomp a bomp bommm

  • Saw them in Chicago, they were awesome!! But you can realize that they are getting older.... O'well they still got it!

  • saw these guys in charlotte 25th ... it was so great =)

  • ace musicianship, they really knew how to rock out a great tune.

  • Well said Dime, and no one cna forget THAT bassline

  • saw them in March in NY AWESOME! shame christie wasn't there but a great show!

  • Cant wait to see them 4/26/09 in Greensboro, NC.

  • This one is really the best of video of THE CHAIN. AT 203 look at how tinis there eye's are at each other!

  • Brilliant bass playing at the end. This song rocks my world.!

  • Thanks Penguin! Now...if I can just find a HIGH quality recording of this.....still badass!

  • If you want to be more precise, it's Lindsey Buckingham.

Good luck finding a high quality version though. He left the band in 1987, but came back later.

  • Can someone help me out here? I have been searching for this exact version (with the man singing) for a few days. I even called my father who is 56 years old and he suggested Don Henley? Anyhow..I know thats not Don..but what is the guys name? And he's just a band member, correct?! Song fucking rocks balls!!!

  • Lindsay Buckenham

    Yes, it's a guy.

  • john on 2.40 that bass line is fucking amazing

  • This is very intense... Be kind everyone.

This band was on tour for 320 days of 365

this particular year. Town to town Country to country Hotel rooms. No place to call home. Imagine how you would feel. Stevie and Lindsey go way back. They went through a lot as an entire band. Watch the intensity between Stevie and Lindsey and it says it all.....

  • This was my band in the 70-80's. Nice blast from the past, attended many Mac concerts. Stevie was my idol at the time, but Mick is forever the bitchin' Devil drum GOD.

    LOVE YOU ALL!

  • What a dysfunctional couple... and OH how it spawned th best music... I wish i could put my emotion down in verse, it'd be a revolution! Fuckin' women!

  • Lindsay Buckenham( the dude) is HOT!!!!

  • love the end of the song rock on

  • awesome

  • Intense!

  • fucking brilliant song!

  • my best friend sent me this song, and i'm sp much in love with her, can smebdy tell me what the song means?

  • L12333-During the recording of the "Rumors" album, both couples in the band (Stevie & Lindsay and John & Christine)were breaking up (Mick was also going thru a divorce). The song is about the break-up with all members. This song written by the group. Read the lyrics. It sez it all.

  • The reason they split was cuz it was found out that Mick Fleetwood (the drummer) had been biffing both Stevie (sometimes Lead Singer) AND Christine (Keyboards and sometimes Lead Singer) behind their fella's backs (Way to go Mick - lol).

A LOT of pain expressed on the "Rumours" album. The title, alone, speaks volumes.

  • It means the Mac will never break the chain!

  • This is 'The Mac' at their best....

Coked up as they are, the playing is suberb. Stevie's voice is the stuff of legend..

  • John's base in this kicks ass! @ 0:45 looks like Lindsey is pointing at Stevie when he is singing. This is the only song credited to all five members. :)

  • what a great video. the words really mean something don't they! Brilliantly captured emotional performance. Loved it.

  • The tension between Lyndsay and Stevie is brilliant. Buckingham is definatly one of the most underrated guitarist of all time.

  • So true. In his Big Love performance in '97...how many people can play the bass along with the treble that fast in their own song? Blows my mind.

  • its a scream like agony they both love each other but dont see eye to eye some

  • i might get flamed, but i think she is stealing the spotlight.
