the reason you need to defeat all enemies is because they are all transmitting a radio signal to the lasers or door and when it is discontinued, the door opens. Just a theory, though.

Advanced 2 did suck, I liked Advanced 1 and 3, not the best but at least somebody made an effort. SH was crap because there was no co-op mode, they added too many characters and they trashed the Chaotix' reputation. One thing I looked forward to in SH was seeing Knuckles see the Chaotix, the reaction to that kept me playing but what the hell?! It never happened. Thanks SEGA for crapping on Archie's comics. I would've probably tried Shadow if it didn't have weapons and try too hard to be a 3PS.

I dont see why everyone complains about pits in the recent sonic handheld games to tell you the truth only sky canyon,altitude limit and Babylon stage from rush adventure are the only stages with cheap deaths and pits to me...the players just have to get better but I'll admit that some are very well set up and at high speeds you wont expect them unless you are very preventive.I like those games because they keep me on my feet so thats why my preference of advance games are 1,2,3 in order! XD

For Shadow the hedghog you should do a playthrough like this.

Split it up into three parts

Normal playthrough

Hero playthrough

Dark playthrough.

I liked that movie. Unlike games like SA 1 or 2 Shadow was harder to nail down an exact storyline, though they did it well.

A good path as to not mind fuck yourself would be to end with the Black Comet level with Knuckles.

This is because you face Eggman as the 'last' boss, which COULD explain why he and Sonic & Co are on the comet in the last story.

This also applies to Shadow being somewhat neutral in last story as well since he didnt face Sonic or Black Doom.

Well, you think Silver's bad in "this game", but a game from YoYogames, completly for Silver, is AMAZING! I don't mean you should do a playthrough of it but. You should just sometime play it. It's called 'Silver the Hedgehog: Worlds Collide'.

I like the Shadow the Hedgehog game, but some of the missions were too hard.

For example, Mad Matrix dark mission, it took me over half an hour! And I still got an A rank!

Tom, my idea for a playthorugh for Shadow is that you go to the Black Comet level and do the Hero mission to fight the Egg Dealer so it makes some sense for why Eggman is there in the Last Story, unless he killed Eggman there again, I forget. Plaese tell me if it is a god idea.

I think Advance 2 had a few amazing levels but the hundreds of bottomless pits made the fun turn into nervous annoyance- techno level as Sonic imo. However Music Plant is still one of my faves!

I don't know, I kinda liked Shadow the Hedgehog (game), and aside from the vehicles and the whole bit about the chaos emeralds that you guys brought up and the multiple plot lines with only one true end, it was a pretty decent overall game. Black Doom was a pretty bad-ass antagonist character in my opinion as well.

The problem with heroes is that they all have the same gameplay, but in this game they have different gameplay styles well silver and sonic anyway, sonic and shadow are slightly alike

Eh, I still don't get the long levels, the health bars on enemies, and the necessity of having to destroy all the enemies. The thing about Sonic games is that you can die... REALLY easily. Two succint hits and you're done. On the other hand, you can kill other things really easily or get away really easily, if you're fast enough.

Heroes wasn't as bad because it was at least Linear. I got lost easily in some of the other Silver and Shadow stages in 06.
