Hey. RIP to those who died. I cried watching this film. I live in the Adelaide Hills, and have experienced a bushfire only once on Ash Wednesday 1983. It came within feet of our home. We had our bushfire sprinklers going, my dad and I had a firehose each, and my mum and younger brother were inside. It was horrible. Our neighbours lost their home, ours survived. We were really lucky. Just watching this bought back so many memories. What is the name of this song.....I love it!
Clearly, to even bother thinking something like that you have absolutely NO FARKING BRAIN AT ALL. People like you should just go sit in their little hole and not come out of it untill you have grown a brain, and a heart and realise how rediculous and offensive your comments are. Did it ever occur to you that maybe they COULDNT escape? Maybe the fires had them trapped in their homes and they had no hope anyway, what else was left for them to do other than try and protect their homes and families?
Quickly skip to 1.56. See the cars? What do you THINK they were doing? Sitting in them thinking that the fire would just skip on past them and save their lives. No you IDIOT, they were TRYING to run from it. Open your eyes and realise what a complete "retard" YOU look like. If the Australians (thank you very much as I am one of them) "deserved to die for their stupidity", then I would be very worried if I were you as you clearly lack any for of intelligence, your future must hold something
far worse as a way to go than these people, who NOBLY risked, and GAVE, their lives to protect there homes and families. A quality someone such as you will never possess as you are too wound up in your own world to give a damn about anyone else. Now if you wouldn't mind, please keep your cruel, nasty opinions to yourself.
You're an idiot - for many people, the fires were travelling too fast for them to run. The huge winds were making the fires spread faster than the people could run.
I'm also a deputy captain of a rural fire brigade in NSW.
You have NO IDEA about the chemistry behind bushfires. Yes most people did run away, and sadly some didn't make it. But your comment about them being stupid for staying and defending wasn't called for.
Not even the local CFA captains knew it was going to be that bad, they only knew when it sparked up, just like the residents.
I bet you would try and fight it if you were trapped too.
Wow, what a knob, just clicked on your channel... under favourites is how to make a small dick bigger. How sad for you that you have to go to those extremes to pretend to be a bigger man than the tiny pathetic thing that you really are. I actually pity you.
show some respect! Over 200 people died. Thats over 200 mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, grandparents and children. Entire families were wiped out and your making disgusting jokes about them?!?! How would you like it if everyone you loved died like that? I like every other Australian are truly sorry for the victims of Black Saturday and my heart goes out to them all.

Global warming garbage. These fires were so bad due to years of neglect of the bush as Greens policies were followed. Inadequate fuel reduction by far, no one allowed to remove fallen timber from the ground. Fire tracks locked up. Manslaughter madness.
And Peter Garrett believes fuel reduction burning is a threatening process for all things green. MAD.
If only the greenies didn't forbid backburning and fire trails.
Now that they cost hundreds of lives, they are in shit.
I am a member of the NSW Rural Fire Service, who was deployed down there. The pictures don't justify the horror. Many towns wiped out and not shown on the news because nobody died... It is unbelievable, even when you are there yourself
It's incredibly overwhelming. And to think that fire trails and a little back burning could have saved so many people, breaks my heart...
Well then why when I was about to instruct my crew to set up a containment line near some houses (in the vicinity of a GO), did he turn around to me and say 'if you light anything, you will be on the next plane to Sydney' and then explain to me that they aren't allowed to burn down there?
I asked my crew where the fire trails were, nobody knew what they were.
And if you are worried about global warming, kill off all the cows, they produce more CH4/year than a Range Rover.
And yes, the CFA website is correct in including global warming as a factor, this obviously raises temperatures, so fuel loads are more easily raised above flash point. HOWEVER, that's a long term issue that the entire world needs to tackle, not myself as a Deputy Captain of a Vol F/B.
What would have saved so many lives down there is fire trails and back burning. I was disgusted when the Group Officer explained to me the situation down there.
And It doesn't matter where they live, they all are finding a way to help. So what I would like to say is that all of you Australians can be proud of being Australians!!! Realy!!! You are so good people with a massive coherency that I realy enjoy it being here in Australia and being with you. And it is realy an honour for me to be able to do a donation to the Bushfire Appeal with the best greetings from your German friends.
Hey Flow1808, I am a German who decided to make Victoria home. The day the sun turned red I was out to Mt. Baw Baw with my wife. On the way back it looked as if a volcano had erupted. I am also overwhelmed by this big family attitude people in Australia show when things get tough. It's heart warming to know that I am part of it. Of course I donated...
I was realy shocked as I saw the pictures of the Victorian Bushfires. They were so terrible. But I, as German being at the moment in Australia, was absolutly impressed as I saw how the Australians react on this catostrophy. They are spending their hardly earned money to help the Victorians and even Australians from the flooded areas are spending the money wich they got from the government to repair their houses.
Scariest day if my life i feel really sad for people who hav lost friends family crops their homes anything exspeacily stuff that cant b replaced. my heart goes out to u all i hope that there is neva another day like that eva again
It is more environmentally friendly to clear the bush rather than making fines on people who do so or even for it to burn and contribute to the so-called "global warming".
you sound like fires just appeared in australia after white man came here. sure its a shame when people die but thats what happened for millions of years
Thats why the government should clear trees in those regions especially residential areas that are susceptible to bushfire a long time ago.
Before doing so, those tree-hugging environmentalists should shut the hell up. It wouldn't hurt to cut trees than waiting for bushfire to happen resulting in casualties.
The Government won't let those in fire risk areas cut down trees! But in outer Suburbia ( Melbourne, I'm in the outer east) VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal) will overturn local council's decision and let developers strip every tree and living plant to build units. And allow a former green leafy golf course to to be developed with 600 + houses on the land!
A SHAME?? Do you have even a fraction of heart? Millions of years yes, but millions, thousands or 200 hundred years ago, we did not have the population we do now! Wake up!
The person / people who set these fires have no hearts they have no idea what they have done if i was the richest person in the world I'd give half my money to them to help them build new houses im just so devastated that they actually did that kids, family, pets, everything GONE!!!
this is a sad moment in austeralian history, i coudletn imagin if one started here in south australia where it is alot hotter and drier, this could of turned really bad here, R.I.P all lives lost in victoria
We share all the sadness and send our Love and respect to everyone in Victoria.Whole Turkish Nation felt the same things that you have felt during this disaster. Our Sympathies from Turkey to Our Brothers and Sisters in Australia.Ali
As Australia we all stand together and unite during this terrible time we send our love to those lost and affected by the victorian bushfires.Dig Deep!
the 7th was my bday :( a day that will be remembered forever now as the day hell erupted into vic, so sad, death toll over 200 now still going up and the moon at night here in SA is still a sickening browny red color
We all look at the sky at night, hoping that this is the end of the bushfires. Problem is we are still in summer and the bushland is tinder dry so more can be expected.
TO ALL AFFECTED BY THE FIRES MY PRAYERS AND SYMPATHIES ARE WITH YOU ALL MAY GODS LOVE AND GRACE HELP YOU OVERCOME THIS herendous tragedy rock on aussies you are in my heart GOD BLESS
Great job with this vid, it really is hard to imagine what everyone will be going through and how they will recover, but as aussies do we will be with them for the long haul. I was there as part of the Tassie crew.
The sky turned red representing the bloodshed australia first was deeply sadened then we became angry and devestated may the poor people who lost their lives be in peace now and to those who are to blame may justice be bought swiftly and properly my thoughts and hopes are with those left without homes or family and i pray that we learn from this terrible tradgedy
if the greenies and the government hadn't stopped cattle in the high country, there would be a lot less forest fuel to ignite. now there have been 3 major fires in 6 years. sure there were fires when the cattle were allowed there, but alot less fires and less severe. let the cattlemen return to the high country, keeping the heritage alive aswell as removing the forest fuel.
...I'm sorry for everyone...I God bless my family who lives in Victoria, I haven't heard from my sister in days, the last thing she said to me was "Sorry Brittany, I have to go, fire outside, I love you and stay safe" then she hung up, that was seven days ago...I've donated $250 to help, I hope that all you're families are safe, please. Donate for our sake, for our families sake, for Victoria's sake.
I hope your sister is safe, i know what its like waiting to find out, this is all just to much to discribe in words how i feel just like the rest of Australia
Latest news from Victoria says that only a few of the 400 bushfires which burned more than a third of our beautiful state were set deliberately. The temperature that day was 46.7C and we have been in a drought for ten years now. Most of this was caused naturally or by accident. The death toll is expected to exceed 300, but it will be weeks before we know how many have died. Please be respectful and appreciate what a true disaster this was. 5000+ are homeless after the events of this past weekend
This terrible thing as nothing to do with global warming. Its more likely to be the sun getting hotter and idiots who get a thrill off lighting fires on hot days, if anyone is with me for this I think they should burn the people who do stuff like this and open their eyes to what they have done to more than 180 people, the fire in Port Lincoln was half as bad as that, but even a little one can have tragic affects.
I don't believe it has anything to do with global warming coaltar.
What can we do about it you ask. With a normal bush fire keep your gutters cleaned and a good clearing around your house. Make sure the fireys are allowed to back burn.
In fires like these ones where none of the above would have helped....learn...if you live near bush and you see smoke get out until it's clear.
Some of these poor people believed in god there hole life's , and for a life of service they where burnt alive , I'm certain they were not praising him at the end.
I have posted this video on my facebook pleading for donations to the australian Red Cross. ( I have provided the Red Cross link)My family has donated as well. I am deeply moved and saddened by all this. God Bless Australia. Cathy ( Nebraska/USA)
I am thankful that my friends in the area are all safe. One family stayed and defended their house, but lost their vinyard. Another family left and thankfully their house is still ok.
That is beautiful, i cried the whole way threw it, quite a few of my friends in the CFS in south australia are over there fighting it, But i hate how people call it a natural disaster... it was deliberatley lit, i find it more like eco terrorism and when they find the guy who lit it i say hang the bastard....
when such fires occur there is little you can do and you have no time to escape cause fire runs with the speed of the wind... fire create its own extreme weather and you must evacuate...we had the same experience 2 (90 died 3.000.000 acres ashes 2 villages wiped out 2000 homes/structures destroyed) years ago in Greece but things here are the worst ...2 greek died on these fires and god mercy for those missing and the 181 perished
I've got friends in Victoria & Melbourne and I'm worried sick for them, one of my friends was right in the centre of the fires! Thankfully they're all safe atm, and the courage, generosity & selflessness being shown by the firefighters, paramedics and the communities is truly humbling.... the saddest thing is that some were an act of arson - personally I hope they find the culprit and lock them away for life!!!
My thoughts & prayers are with all those affected, may you all stay safe!
Are you saying the fire were started by Islam group? Come on, do you feel good to make people hate each other? I saw your comment on all the forest fire related posts...
Forest fire kills people but hate and racism kill more people.
to all the fire fighters and combined people fighting these fires all of this proud country is behind you, your heroism and determination to save what little is left is the corner stone of all things aussie, may the love of this country stand behind you, as your courage to stand in front of the flames rings hard and true in every australian, to all those who lost family and loved ones Know this, All of this great land is behind you we share ur pain and stand with you in arms.
I just donated $50.00 to the Victorian Bushfire appeal & I urge all of you to do the same, I used to travel to a lot of the bushfire effected areas & I'm now living near Mildura I can't even put into words how I am feeling right now. To all the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy MAY THEY ALL FOREVER REST IN PIECE & THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE ANIMALS WHO LOST THEIR LIVES.
i live around 30km away from the churchill fires and thank god we only got a bit of ash and a few burnt leaves, tons of smoke inside and outside out house, and black rain.
2 of my friends lost their lives and 5 people lost their houses.
ON THIS FRIDAY THE 13TH OF FEB, COLES SUPERMARKETS ARE GIVING ALL THE PROCEDES OF THE DAY DIRECTLY TO THE BUSHFIRE APPEAL.
PLEASE GO SHOPPING ON FRIDAY AT YOUR NEAREST COLES SUPERMARKET. THANKYOU!
Man you are close to the fires and have had fires in the past. I am so sorry for your loss, this is what I am finding hardest to accept, the tragic loss of life.
man this is very sad man thats unbeliveble that just sux!!! well hopefully it will heal soon the land the trees the animals houses i feel bad for the ppl who lost love ones

Of course I donated...
goodbuys0190 2 years ago
Wow, what a moving film.

It is more environmentally friendly to clear the bush rather than making fines on people who do so or even for it to burn and contribute to the so-called "global warming".
Some law has got to change!
Xezatt 3 years ago
you sound like fires just appeared in australia after white man came here. sure its a shame when people die but thats what happened for millions of years
schalkeno1 3 years ago
Thats why the government should clear trees in those regions especially residential areas that are susceptible to bushfire a long time ago.
Before doing so, those tree-hugging environmentalists should shut the hell up. It wouldn't hurt to cut trees than waiting for bushfire to happen resulting in casualties.
Xezatt 3 years ago
The Government won't let those in fire risk areas cut down trees! But in outer Suburbia ( Melbourne, I'm in the outer east) VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal) will overturn local council's decision and let developers strip every tree and living plant to build units. And allow a former green leafy golf course to to be developed with 600 + houses on the land!

A SHAME?? Do you have even a fraction of heart? Millions of years yes, but millions, thousands or 200 hundred years ago, we did not have the population we do now! Wake up!

if the greenies and the government hadn't stopped cattle in the high country, there would be a lot less forest fuel to ignite. now there have been 3 major fires in 6 years. sure there were fires when the cattle were allowed there, but alot less fires and less severe. let the cattlemen return to the high country, keeping the heritage alive aswell as removing the forest fuel.

...I'm sorry for everyone...I God bless my family who lives in Victoria, I haven't heard from my sister in days, the last thing she said to me was "Sorry Brittany, I have to go, fire outside, I love you and stay safe" then she hung up, that was seven days ago...I've donated $250 to help, I hope that all you're families are safe, please. Donate for our sake, for our families sake, for Victoria's sake.

5000+ are homeless after the events of this past weekend
april24tex 3 years ago 2
This terrible thing as nothing to do with global warming. Its more likely to be the sun getting hotter and idiots who get a thrill off lighting fires on hot days, if anyone is with me for this I think they should burn the people who do stuff like this and open their eyes to what they have done to more than 180 people, the fire in Port Lincoln was half as bad as that, but even a little one can have tragic affects.
Bradley01111 3 years ago 2
Was this partly a result of global warming ? Are we in for more record temperatures ? What can we do about it ?
coalltar 3 years ago 2
I don't believe it has anything to do with global warming coaltar.
What can we do about it you ask. With a normal bush fire keep your gutters cleaned and a good clearing around your house. Make sure the fireys are allowed to back burn.
In fires like these ones where none of the above would have helped....learn...if you live near bush and you see smoke get out until it's clear.
That's just my opinion.

The Bible predicts such things.

Some of these poor people believed in god there hole life's , and for a life of service they where burnt alive , I'm certain they were not praising him at the end.

That is beautiful, i cried the whole way threw it, quite a few of my friends in the CFS in south australia are over there fighting it, But i hate how people call it a natural disaster... it was deliberatley lit, i find it more like eco terrorism and when they find the guy who lit it i say hang the bastard....

when such fires occur there is little you can do and you have no time to escape cause fire runs with the speed of the wind... fire create its own extreme weather and you must evacuate...we had the same experience 2 (90 died 3.000.000 acres ashes 2 villages wiped out 2000 homes/structures destroyed) years ago in Greece but things here are the worst ...2 greek died on these fires and god mercy for those missing and the 181 perished
gfanarakos 3 years ago 2
I've got friends in Victoria & Melbourne and I'm worried sick for them, one of my friends was right in the centre of the fires! Thankfully they're all safe atm, and the courage, generosity & selflessness being shown by the firefighters, paramedics and the communities is truly humbling.... the saddest thing is that some were an act of arson - personally I hope they find the culprit and lock them away for life!!!
My thoughts & prayers are with all those affected, may you all stay safe!
