@HatoburekaSutajio no, igns reasons for giving this an 8 were horrible, they prety much took of marks for the sole reason it wasa remake. the reason 343 didnt change the gameplay to reachs because they wanted it to be FAITHFUL to the original game, adding in assasination would change the gameplay too much. and as for the jumps being to high, that has been in halo games 1-3. its part of the series physics. reach minimised the jump hight cause they wanted it to have a more realistic feel.

I've completed Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Reach on Legendary and have played them all extensively online.
Despite it's improved mechanics and multiplayer, Reach's campaign disappointed me. Other than it's gamebreaking bugs, it was very mild compared to Halo 2, however it was still entertaining to a degree just as can be said for even some of the worst games.

Has anyone ever noticed that 343 just took stuff from previous games and mapped it over the item? Ex. The assault rifle is the one from halo 3. The "M6D" is the one from halo 3, which is an M6G. The sniper is from Reach. The phantom has a turret for another man, when there wasn't on in Combat Evolved. 343 cut corners.
Its a great game, faithul to the original, but perhaps TOO faithful! 343 had a brilliant oppurtunity to modernise this game which they could have easily done if they were careful, bringing level design and gameplay into 2011 and bringing continuity up to date with the other games in the series but hopefully retaining the classic halo feel,
But as it is I'm disappointed, it looks like game made in 2009/2010 but plays like a game made 10 years ago!

Guys, no remake can ever be a 10 unless it's loaded top to bottom with the most expertly tuned new game content and bonus content on the side. This is a game that came out 10 years ago with graphics that look like games in 2008. Sweet, we can play it online. And some bonus maps for Reach? Cool. All good. But when the main attraction was your "OMG SUPER HD REMAKE, 10 YEARS AGO" and your game doesn't even bother to look as good as last year's installment, it just feels like next year's model.

Amazing game, even to this day it is such a perfectly crafted title...literally has everything. Plus playing this in debug mode in 3rd person, invinsibility with bottomless, infinite clip is AWESOME.
When the game first game out gamespot gave it a 9.7, This version has more to do with skulls/terminals/Achievements/Multiplayer on xbox live/Firefight/and updated graphics, so for them to give this game a 8.0 i think its kinda stupid. im not mad cause dont give a shit about review scores i just find it weird. Guys, no remake can ever be a 10 unless it's loaded top to bottom with the most expertly tuned new game content and bonus content on the side. This is a game that came out 10 years ago with graphics that look like games in 2008. Sweet, we can play it online. And some bonus maps for Reach? Cool. All good. But when the main attraction was your "OMG SUPER HD REMAKE, 10 YEARS AGO" and your game doesn't even bother to look as good as last year's installment, it just feels like next year's model.

@MyXboxFTW You only get like 6 maps with this game that are remade maps from Halo 1 or 2. It's still the Reach gameplay, but you don't get the original maps from Halo: Reach.

Amazing game, even to this day it is such a perfectly crafted title...literally has everything. Plus playing this in debug mode in 3rd person, invinsibility with bottomless, infinite clip is AWESOME.

When the game first game out gamespot gave it a 9.7, This version has more to do with skulls/terminals/Achievements/Multiplayer on xbox live/Firefight/and updated graphics, so for them to give this game a 8.0 i think its kinda stupid. im not mad cause dont give a shit about review scores i just find it weird. That a game can have more to do and be better and get a lower score. oh well still a fun anyways. i still have my original copy of Halo CE.

Jesus crist how can people not be angry or upset that 343 has destroyed this game! there completely copied the multiplayer from reach the only thing that is still CE in it are no bloom and the maps! no bloom and DMR is bad REALLY bad hell i think 343 are just lazy cause they needed another studio (saber) to make the fucking engine.

I fuckin love Halo Anniversary hahaha shit I've hardly stopped playing it since it came out. Worth every penny.
2 gripes though,
a) it seems like they kept some old voices, but revoiced the new cut scenes and Master Chiefs voice actor seems apathetic now.
b) only one firefight map, which I love, but by the sounds of things, this was the last chance to make a Flood firefight and they missed it.
In 2001 Halo was a 9.5, and in 2011 its still a 9.5 for me!

Im gonna be the turd in the punchbowl. Halo 1 and 2 are the only reason original xbox ever survived. First xbox is the worst console to date. I bought it 9 years ago expecting amazing games....but all i got was god awful games, fiddlers green....and grabed by gholies.... fable was ok thoe. But come on guys if you really sit down and think about it for a minute xbox had nothing going for it. The 360...sure it has its problems but its still 40x better then that 1st xbox and alot more games to.

But the ps2 is one of the best gaming consoles ever. Not only did it have 60x more games then xbox but the games were better quality. 2,500 games for ps2. And a mere 700 for xbox. I know 700 sounds like alot but not when you have 5 amazing games. 10 ok games. And the 685 others are mediocre.
