Roy Rogers100th Birthday Celebration 1911-2011 (Henager Museum)

I was seven years old when I learned that Roy's birthday was Nov. 5, three days after mine, and he was born in Cincinnati, like I was. That's when I knew I had chosen the right cowboy hero. Met him when I was 12 at Ohio State Fair, and even though I may have been a little old for playing cowboys, I'm glad I got our photo taken together.

I am 73 and as a kid Roy's birthdate was same as my mom's, 1912. Later that date was changed to 1911.I was told movie folks took of a year or so when they are young.

Our event will be the largest single Centennial Celebration there are others but ours is the only one to be developed just for the Roy's centennial not to be repeated. that is why we are trying to make it so large also all of the proceeds will go to the National Veterans Memorial
