  • Who's with the Mosrite?

  • Its hard to believe this was Dollys first Top 25 Country hit and shes still going........LOVE YOU DOLLY

  • ... first appearance on NATIONAL TV. Dolly was discovered by grocer Cas Walker who hosted a local show in Knoxville, Tennessee, just a stone's throw from her hometown of Sevierville.

  • "Blondes buy more peroxide!" Dolly's always had that wicked self-deprecating sense of humor. It's one of the particularly endearing aspects of her persona.

  • SHE SING THIS SONG LIKE SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE LEARNED, ALSO "THRU THE HARD KNOCKS OF LIFE"{ LIKE A LOT OF WOMAN I KNOW WOULD LEARN} NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVED ONE PERSON, GAVE IT TIME, AND YOU WILL SEE THERE IS ANOTHER WAITING AROUND THE CORNER...BEING MUCH BETTER...

  • I'm 11 and I LOVE Dolly Parton! My dad was 6 years old in the year this was filmed...and now he's 49! Dolly will be a forever legend all the way until the world ends! LONG LIVE DOLLY PARTON!

  • Dolly was born in 1946 which means she was 21 in this performance and I agree, naturally beautiful. Thanks for sharing :)

  • God save the Queen of Country.

  • Yikes this was filmed 2 years before "The Brady Bunch" started! I think Dolly was only in her early 30's here in 1967.

  • She also wrote "I Will Always Love You" sung by Whitney Houston.

  • wow she was so pretty...she didnt need all that plastic surgery

  • dont know who called her a dumb blond but by the look when she sings dumb blond shes pissed i love the emotion she puts in her songs.

  • @91mssexy

she has amazing energy when she sings. The person who called her that, gave her the ammo for a great

    song!

  • I had Dolly at a party once in 1976. Yep....they are real. Dolly likes to giggle alot during which didn't bother me much cause as you might imagine.....it didn't last long....

  • dolly parton is DEFINATELY NOT a dumb blonde, shes totaly the opposite!

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl definitely

  • This is not her 1st video as said. Look on back.

    Nice video though.

  • very nice woman wil watch her all day long

  • 1967 huh? So she's 21 here. Wow, she looks just as gorgeous then as she does now. I hope I look just as good as I was at 21 when I'm 63. Go Dolly, I love this song.

  • Every time I feel a little low I watch this video. Just watching Dolly sing this lifts me up and makes me smile. Her career proves she isn't a Dumb Blonde.

  • has dolly got a biography?

  • She wrote her Autobiography in the early 90s, it's called "My Life, And Other Un-Finished Business"

It's really interesting, especially some of her funny stories from her childhood

  • She has an amazing voice. She was gorgeous then and still is today. But her boobs seemed to have been a lot smaller then??

  • when i was reading her biography it sed she was nervouse she dont look it :)

  • She really sang her heart out didn't she? =D At the end she was all out of air! Porter probably didn't know what he was getting into.

  • Look Out World Here Come's Dolly!

  • Dolly , i love ya , you aint no dumb blonde hun , thank you for my memory's x

  • This is simply brilliant! Gosh how I A-D-O-R-E Dolly! Love these old performances!

  • @chermaster85 You A-D-O-R-E-D Olly? ;)

  • Great song! Written by a male songwriter named Curley Putnam. I love the outfits and hair they had back then. I wish country music television would have more performers that dress in those old crazy cowboy outfits. Dolly's wearin' a "B-52!" hairdo. Dolly added the "blonds buy more peroxide" line. Hehehe...

  • thats cool i just found that out thanks i though she wrote it

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!!

    Always loved this song

(and especially the blond - lyrics) lol!

  • I love this performance. Thanks for sharing!

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a piece of history, and a fabulous one at that. Dolly's first TV appearance, and who knew she would become a national treasure? And how much do we love that bionic behive? Long live queen Dolly!!!
