Just saw the ESPN doco on him. He has had to overcome a lot of adversity. He is a freak of an athlete and I have a greater respect for him after seeing it. To battle on and come back and still dominate in the NFL is unbelievable. If he'd not had those years off he'd be HoF one day no doubt.
There is something very poetic about watching a guy run someone over on one play, then bounce it to the outside and outrun DBs on the next play. Ricky in his prime is unmatched.

Ricky is your ideal Running Back. He would've been great if he didn't retire but hey it's his life, if the man wants to smoke bud then let the man smoke his bud. Who are all these analysts and commentators that judge Ricky's actions? He's just trying to do what Ricky wants to do and not what the world wants him to do. Honestly, I fucking despise the Dolphins but I have so much respect for Ricky.

definitely one of the best backs to come out of texas! UT just doesnt produce running backs like this anymore. the last good running back to come out of texas was cedrick benson in my opinion

@BigDGE1 Well ever since the 6 years of Vince and McCoy, Texas shifted to a spread oriented offense. And with Colt throwing so accurately they dropped the running game. Shouldn't judge Case McCoy, the dude can play like Colt. Garrett Gilbert just won't cut it, his throws are horrible.

@BigDGE1 Well, nobody really though Colt McCoy was going to be a good QB collegiate or Pro wise. Look what he was able to accomplish at Texas lacking a supporting O-line and Running back. We'll have to give Case McCoy a chance, Garrett is just overthrowing too much or under throwing.

Just saw the ESPN doco on him. He has had to overcome a lot of adversity. He is a freak of an athlete and I have a greater respect for him after seeing it. To battle on and come back and still dominate in the NFL is unbelievable. If he'd not had those years off he'd be HoF one day no doubt.

There is something very poetic about watching a guy run someone over on one play, then bounce it to the outside and outrun DBs on the next play. Ricky in his prime is unmatched.

@moonman9j9 If Ricky's head would've been on straight the whole time, we're talking about the second coming of Jim Brown. The only difference, is that Jim Brown was 6'2 and Ricky is only 5'10. Otherwise, both are/were about 230, and could run through you and away from you. Both were/are also good recievers who can/could block. Complete backs!
