  • I was there with a school group in like 3rd grade...... Didn't realize how big of a deal it was until a couple years later...... Would've taken it in more if I would've realized how big of a deal it was.

  • minnesota fans are the classiest people out there, i love you minny!

  • cooperstown here he comes

  • He was just starting to get hot with the A's last year 4 hr's in 5 games I think when he tore his quad. Amazing season with the A's while still healing in 2006 after they put cadaver bone in his foot. Unlikely but I'd like to see him make a great comeback in 2010 and go out on top. Some teams blew it this year choosing guys over Hurt to dh and their choses did terrible.

  • I met Frank Thomas when he was a rookie, I was 12 years old...he gave me an autograph and took a picture with him. Needless to say I hes my All time favorite player and a White Sox fan for life!

  • me to

  • i would be terrified if i had to pitch to that beast

  • i was there

  • Big frank is one of the best right handed hitters of all time. He used the whole field better than almost anyone.

  • never seen anybody hit home runs that left the stadium faster, the man was a beast.

first time i ever saw him live at comerica park, it was snowing and he put one in the fountains about 450 ft away

  • yea GO FRANK! Big Hurt for life

  • He's definitely a HOFer. Go Frank!

  • BC's Football stadium looks almost exactly like that lol

  • i give mad respect to the crowd for giving him props for hitting 500 that is awesome. Toronto will miss you Big Hurt

  • OMG, I was at that fucking game!!!!! LOL I was sitting right behind homeplate. :)

  • i grew up watchin this guy kill the ball in chicago

  • gawd that's an ugly stadium....the seats behind home plate are waaaay up in the air...way to be down on the field near the action...

  • the dome rules!

  • do you even know what team stadium it is???well anyways there getting a new one in 2010 that is really cool

  • go jays.... Frank was a great player in his day. He's past his prime. No need to be upset with Jays management; business is business... I didn't see him helping this team. Who knows; Maybe he'll get picked up and play more for another team.

  • You're a fool Zimmerman. Thomas lead the team in home runs and RBIs last year and he was among the team leaders in both categories again this year. I didn't see you Jays fans complaining last week when The Big Hurt was launching bombs against the Red Sawks, now you run him out of town? I hope you rot in the AL East cellar for all eternity.

  • blue jays just released him. if they can release a great player like this because he's in a slump then I can give up on the jays until they are in the playoffs. I hope Thomas goes to a East Division team and kills the jays. have a nice summer blue jays, wouldn't waste a dime on you

  • hes not on steroids

  • So naive...

  • So naive...

  • Lol. When frank thomas hits the homerun you'll eventually see three empty sections except for one guy sitting all by himself!

  • All hail the big hurt!

  • Frank Thomas: YOU'RE AWESOME, BIG MAN!!

  • I was also at that game cheering for the Jays. Me and my uncle were the only ones clapping in my section until everyone relised that it was number 500.

  • I went to every game that series to make sure I saw his 500th.

  • i was also there

  • I was at the game and the pitch he hit was one that would get every other hitter in baseball looking foolish (except Ichiro).

Frank is a class act and desvered the standing ovation he got from the approximately 31,000 people in the stands that afternoon!

  • I saw Thomas hit a homerun at the Seattle Kingdome back in 1990 (7th career hr?). It was like the ball was shot out of a cannon ... literally! It was a straight bullet shot to center and hit the backstop mats out there over the wall leaving a large dent before dropping straight down. Amazing power! He didn't even need to get air under the ball to get it out, and balls didn't carry too well in the Kingdome, especially to center. Amazing!

  • you mean blue jays hat lol :P

  • lol; well chicago deserves that honour, he played his career with them.

  • frank thomas is still my hero i love waching him play for the chicago white sox hall a famer for sure going in with a white sox hat on his head.
