If he wants to go more, he will need stronger rods, then to get more HP, lighter pistons. Crank, is an ok upgrade, but camshafts would help more for horsepower, but nether the crank or cams will be damaged because of high rpm's.

The civic has 140 hp @ 6000 rpm, and the viper has 600 bhp @ 6000 rpm. I think the fact that a 8.4L v10 vehicle that weights 579 lbs more than a 1.8l i4 people mover is just a little bit impressive.

9,500? That's what they get... The Skunk2 Stage 2 cams which are great, if not the best, 100% streetable camshafts for the b series. That being said just the cams are $650. Forged valves, retainers, valve springs, and cam gears up that $650 to a good bit higher number. I doubt they bought the whole valve train with the body looking like that. Plus the stage 2s are rated at a peak rev limit of 9,000 rpm. People like this are the reason everyone with a Honda is considered a ricer....
