  • SHIT! This was fantastic. Great work and great cover of an even greater band. Cheers!

  • i like the inclusion of the percussion, heres something the original lacked.

  • one helluva song to do

  • You're awesome. Amazing.

  • this literally gave me chills. i wish the people i went to school with appreciated this type of music or that our music program even touched this genre. I wish i went to high school with you guys lol simply beautiful<3. beyond words actually. you can really see and hear that every member was dedicated.

  • Hats off to you ladies and gentlemen. I am proud.

  • Are they all fans of ASMZ ? :D It's great that these schoolboys listen such good music.

  • Holy crap nice job guys! I really wish people were into ASMZ when I was in high school! You've inspired me to learn to play this on guitar, but it really isn't much without the rest of a band playing behind you! Nice work really! Who ever played the guitar solo really shredded it!

  • messy hearts made of thunder you all are!

    ASMZ ish teh awesome.

  • Hye everyone, I just want to say thankyou to everyone who has posted a comment, when ever I read a new one that's posted it makes me really happy that people appreciated what we did and enjoyed it. This video is so awesome because each person in the performance was dedicated and talented and it was awesome for us all to come together, it's a production I'll never forget and will am really proud to have been apart of.

  • Well done! Nice personal cover:)

    My compliments.

  • @Lorahummingbird this was so awesome. Just talking to a current canterbury student who says she remembers this and that the assemblies are really lacking in the epic Lora acts- they need you back!

  • really nice

  • great job!

  • Congratulations on pulling this off! Very impressive!

  • I got a little bit teary-eyed watching this.

  • That was a sweet rendition! Very well done!

  • awesome!!!

  • Wow, this was a ton better than expected coming into it. Congratulations whoever made this video.

  • I emailed it to their account too.

Efrim take note... These kids will perform w you some day.

  • this is amazing. i emailed the link to silver mt zions record label so hopefully they'll get it forwarded to them.

  • holy shit

  • this is awesome. congrats you guys. silver mt zion is one of the best bands ever imo.

  • thats tight. just organizing all of it mustve been tough. i dont know anybody else who would be down for stuff like this.

  • I think that this was truly amazing. I've gone to high school 4 years now(Senior obviously now), but I've ever seen something that powerful. Nor have I ever seen anything powerful at all. I considered getting a group for battle of the bands to do Godbless Our Dead Marines for our battle of the bands. Then I found out people at my school only liked music that was popular. I go to Dana Hills High School. It's in Orange COunty. I love the area, hate the kids, hate most the people.

  • I went to the wrong high school

  • Agreed. Thank you for pulling this off.

  • ....i go to the wrong highschool

  • beautiful

  • how did they score it?

  • The piece was arranged by all of us. I arranged the string ensemble and vocals and led rehersals, each musician added their own style and improvisations, The lead singer, second guitarist and bazooki (sp?) learnt their parts by ear and added their own improvisations. The drummers were also improvised. This production took 3 weeks to perfect and was only so good because each person was so talented and commited to it.

  • @Lorahummingbird -lead singer, SOLO guitarist and bazooki player learned there parts and added their own improvisations!

  • musically inclined.

  • I dont post enough nice stuff about people so I am going to make amends for all of my troling by saying that you fuckers are rad. Love the stomping at the end.

  • Good job! not many people would have the bottle to try and convert ppl to the greatness of ASMZ :D

  • i just found this now,

i looved being in it and i love the response it's getting on here.

  • YAY to the school that I go to.

  • great preformance of a great song

  • I wish my highschool was that cool...

  • Yeah I wish mine was that cool too. Holy shit! The only stageshows we could hope for were shitty comedy skits and girls in skimpy outfits dancing provocatively to shitty R&B. *sigh*

Ah well all of that is behind me now, hurray for college!

    No wait, college sucks too.

  • Simply awesome rendition there! Everyone involved in that should be proud. Wish more of my end of year highschool or college performances were more like that.

  • Hey youngesterz! great work by u! it was fabulous in it's own way of acting on stage...

U frontman, hope to c u soon in one post-rock band as a reconstruction to music again! be a great anarchist young guy...

I wish Efrim Menuck would c it to how he could impact the children heart to make them united cause people united is a wonderful thing;)

  • i went to this school and was at this performance...im just interested what you mean by ...it its own way of acting of stage...i have the album that this song is originally from, and to be quite honest, this is better. i just thought id throw that in there.

  • Well, thank u, but i didn't understand! u mean the original efrim's track is better than this stage performance?!

  • noo, i mean that this stage performance is better than the orginal track

  • :) yeah! somehow u r right! because these young boys and girls derived the emotion from the main source! If Efrim could see this guys, he would absolutely be satisfied by what he did to let them fly like this;)

so far, seems u r not A Silver Mt. Zion fan!

I cannot find anything more astonishing than them... definitely from all Efrim Menuck's side-projects...

  • hehe, oh you are wrong, I just got Horses in the sky and have been listening to it nonstop. Simon, the lead singer, who happens to be a good friend of mine would probably thank you for ur comments. I still don't know what you mean by in it's own way of acting on stage...can u explain that?

  • The frontman, that i dunno how old is he! danced the hands and the head in such a way that u think he's actually involved with the inner inclination of "Horses In The Sky"...

When u listen to most of the post-rock and experimental music, u imagine of something, it's not abt a specific memory, everyone dream of his/her own...

  • When i started to listen to this track for the first time months ago, i had the same vision abt it! i mean i was thinking abt how great this track would be in the stage of theater or something with some actors and actresses! and as i saw this video, i was shocked that somebody else got the idea...

  • So by "it's own way of acting", i meant these guys demonstrated the prominent thing that Efrim wished to televise and broadcast(Movie Never Made)... The anarchy, the chaotic world and of course frontman proved this fact that he is tired of living in this shitty machine called "WORLD"... My congratulations to him and the one who made this idea.

    Peace out ;)

  • well allrigthy! thank ya. and the one who made the idea for this is the girl 4th from the left, laura is her name. she would also thank you for you awesome comments.

  • well, thank u too guys;)

so could i know how old is she, and which school or which amphitheater in which country and city this show performed?!

  • uh the singer's name is simon beach, and i graduated from canterbury high school with him. its in ottawa, ontario.

  • Thanks and best wishes for u guys.

  • well done boys and girls!! a nice interpretation of one of my fav songs of one of my fav bands
