You know, with the whole, government running GM, Obama firing CEOs of private companies, unprecidented spending and printing of money to pay for it, theres is a strong arguement that we are rapidly decending into communism and ecomonic conditions similar to the old soviet union, and i read the same opion from a columist in "Pravda" just last week looking at America from Russias perspective and where they have been and where they see us going.  the timing of your post and my reading that article

Don't be scared the 'wealth redistribution plan' you keep hearing about is just GOP propaganda. Obama's plan if you read it on his website is simply a tax cut to the middle class (those making less then 250K per yr) and allowing the bush taxes cuts for the top 5% to expire and revert back to what they were under clinton. It has nothing to do with socialism or communism.

Speaking as an actual socialist, I don't even understand where those accusations could possibly be coming from unless the people making them don't know what they're talking about. All those people calling him a socialist are just trying to slander him, don't know what his policies are, or don't know what socialism is. I bet that for a lot of them, it's all three. I've always seen Obama as just a decent moderate.
