  • i played this when i was 15, at my graduation concert

  • Well, you read those notes very very well. Keep up the good playing!

  • that's good!!! can you inviate me the score of the song??

  • What kind of flute/headjoint do you play on?

  • You play very well!!! Love the music minus one track!!!!!

  • Wondering if you ever play through the Charlie Parker Omni bookand what level of difficulty you find his phrases to read? It takes me quite awhile to be able to play them by ear. Not memorized - just hearing them. Your tonguing is so fast and clean! Wish I could get have that speed.

  • I like the little thing you do with ur flute when u rest; but if it help keep doing it lol

  • Awesome

  • its like midevil

  • you are amazing!!!

  • I love that. Where did you get your flute? I love it! Also I saw your bass flute where did you get that! Will you please message me. I am a fellow flute & piccolo player. I also have a glass flute.

  • Very nice! Beautiful tone!

  • Gorgeous, excellently played. Will now check out your other videos. Thank you for this lovely recording.

P.S. Your instrument produces gorgeous tone. I love it. Great work.

  • that's a ceramic headjoint handmade in taiwan by Mr.Guo. It's not very well-known, but the sound is very unique and the craftmanship is excellent.

  • You're not alone. I can only read notes off a page too. I would kill to be able to improv but I'm just not there yet. Your tone is beautiful. I was just curious. Is your headjoint made of wood? I was trying to follow other's comments to figure it out but i just gave up. Keep up the good work!

  • amazing...very good melody!!!

    keep doing this....very wonderfull!!

  • I'm guessing it's the wood headjoint that is giving you that speed, or clarity of the double/triple tounge technique

  • Hmm crack dealer...not only deals but is also on crack...

  • May i know, what is your flute brand? thanks.

  • I use a Pearl PF501.

  • I couldn't tell if the head joint had a lip plate or not... Did it?

  • What kind of headjoint is that? Grenadilla? hmmm...whatever it is, I probably wouldn't be able to afford it.

Onto other things: How long have you been playing? Excellent, I must say. I can't really tell bc it's a video, but methinks you could get some more resonance. Keep that jaw wide open for that air to flow! Yay for resonance.

  • hmm...this is a new one. heh

  • actually, he is playing. you're supposed to have relaxed embouchure when you play.. I actually just learned that in my flute lessons

  • If you run over and check out crackdealer26's little flute "improv" you'll find that he is an untalented sack. He is apparently jealous and ignorant, as well. Ever heard of an in ear monitor? Evidently not. Why would your lips move when you double tongue? Moron grade A.

  • Uhh... yes he is. It's called having real equipment and not being a moron about musicianship. Just because you could never play anything Rampal has performed because you wouldn't do it justice doesn't mean other people can't. Well done, Deathstix. It's a beastly chart, fella.

  • its nice.

  • wow how do u play so fast are you double tonguing?

  • what brand is your flute? you play beautifully!

  • I'm curious as to what you think from my sound.

    Make a guess?

  • good vibrato and voicing/phrasing clean

  • Awsome! Would that happen to be an executer head joint?

  • what that mean?

  • It's a type of head joint. :)

  • what's it made out of and what does it do?

  • I'm not 100% sure what it's made out of. But it just has an unique sound.

Best thing to do is Google it! lol

    I'm no genius.

    :)

  • lol yes, google : the cyber-god. lol

  • clarinet and flute at an amazing level (y)

  • good job..I wish to play flute that well one day...you do an awesome job..on beat and in tune..:D

  • dang.. im looking for this sheetmusic but i dont kno where to get it x/ awesome job though :D

  • try w w w dot fluteworld dot com ?

  • Brilliantly played. I love your accuracy and tone.

  • thanks... still couldn't get it perfectly right though....but then again I'm only human...hehe!

  • Awesome! But your voice is much softer than another version on youtube. You may be used to play classical. Or the special headjoint makes so.

  • erm that's because...I'm not amplified? hehe

  • awesome play!! what headjoint is this, where did youget it??

  • thanks!

I just discovered the headjoint has a name... it's called the Executer headjoint, made of a material called Grenaditte, got it at a local shop here in Singapore, more info at w w wdotflute dot com dot tw .

  • Again gd job Mr Deathstix. wakaka, see u in school =D

  • I have this from Rampal on DVD.

But your playing is really really as perfect and musical, I am overwhelmed!

  • I didn't get all the notes...hehe...

it's not that easy after all!

Oh...I've been listening to his version on CD...so he's the model I followed for this piece of music!

  • THAT WAS SO NICELY PLAYED!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome, thanks man
