  • I love this song when I'm driving...It can take me back to the seventies & then I'm in a great mood again! H.E. Rocks!

  • I was smokin' weed when this first came out. Their album had a truck with what looked like a bed full of pot!

  • if you have one hit, this is a good one!

  • The audio track is from the album and obviously dubbed over the video.

    Great jam!

  • This song never gets old!

  • KCMO...1975...scorching hot...and Flat As A Pancake. KWKI-FM pounding away.

A piece of my life brought back with a smile while I'm hearing this. And yeah, I remember her, too. Fondly.

  • im only 19 years old but i thank my dad for raising me on good music.

ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!!

  • sillies, this is of course HEad East audio...awesome as ever...the band in the video is Trix...or Tricks...these guys are a very gooood copy band for Head East...find their version, the best i have found...other than the orginal

  • Dude you forgot the strobe lights, lava lamp, and real speakers.

  • Head East only on audio portion? This isn't Head East, is it? The banner behind the band doesn't say Head East.

  • Best percussion sound in any rock song i have ever heard... That dude is talented. To me anyway.

  • I listen to this song everyday driving back and forth to work. Friggging awesome!!!

  • Reminds me of my deceased brother and me driving down the highway to see our Mom. Good times.

  • Not Head East!!!!!

  • The live version is awesome

  • Dancing to Head East in Carbondale Illinois, dancing our head off.....

  • What is this? Who is this? Is this just Head East music attached to some random video and we're supposed to buy this? Is that a chick on keys? Tricks? Who the hell is Tricks? Yea, I'm going to be one of those 32 (soon to be 33) idiots that gives this a thumbs down because it's just terrible and it's obviously not Head East.

  • @bodhisattvazenrocker says its head east audio part video is another band. why give a thumbs down for that??

  • This was so popular when I was in college, we would ride around in my friends car and crank up the volume!!!! This is not only a great song but the whole album was fantastic.

  • How can 32 idiots give this a thumbs down......Guess they don't get out much...

  • One hit wonder but what a hit it is!

  • @Donmwol4 Hey,what about,"Love Me Tonight "and,"Since You've been Gone"?

  • Dislike??? never been any reason to think about you!!!

  • Whoever dislikes this song should be ashamed of themselves. This song (and songs from the 60's to the 90's) are a lot better than today's shitty music.

  • I saw this band in 1978 in Kansas City. They were fantastic. One of just a few bands that I have seen that were as good live as they were on a record

  • Don't ya know she could..........

  • the band is Trix - a copy band - but veerrry good. The audi0o is of course the original Head East audio !!!

  • This is some bogus shit! This is not Head East on the video and posting somebodies' high school band on the video with Head East playing from the album is just freakin' sad! What do I know? I played the Illinois circuit back in the day at the same clubs as Head East , Cheap Trick and many others and this is a sham.

  • @rattattat100 This may be a video of them doing the song live, but it's the release version of the song, not a live audio version of the song.

  • @Triewer .....this band is "Tricks"...a Head East copy band.....they are awesome but...the audio track is actually Head East, the original released version....if you want to hear Tricks version, it is also very cool, probably the best cover of all, search youtube (or now mother GooGle lol.... • i need more cowbell. no im serious, i would have mastered the percussion a bit over the keys.just to tell the difference between cowbell and a bright wood-block. sad thing is that for the last 40 years i have used my dashboard as the fix. my kids will never get it.

  • That's not Head East! Sure sounds good though :)

  • "Woman with the sweet lov'in, better than a white line.". . . Damn Straight!

  • is the keyboard player a dude or a chic..

  • When I first heard this song I was convinced the higher singer and synth player was Geddy Lee. Call me crazy but thats who he reminds me of.

  • My 19 year old son and his gf went to town with me the other day, he says as we were listenin to a classic rock station on the radio, " I wish I was around in dad's era of music, it so rocks, my generation so sucks" funny thing, I tried to tell all of them that for years, 3 of the 4 got it, the other can hiphop his rappen ass out the door

  • Heard them Play in Benld Illinois at the colliseum and the concert was was great ; and Kshe 95 rocks

  • "Flat as a Pancake".......One of those "staple" albums kinda like "Frampton Comes Alive"....that EVERYONE had in their collection back in the day.

Every generation has it's dominant soundtrack, and the 70's was THEE dominant decade for exellence in Rock music.

  • @rubbersole79 cant say that bro but it is a damn good jam.

  • it's time guys. It's time to put this song into rock n roll history perspective. What do I mean by that? For much too long, this classic rocker hasn't received the critical and mass acclaim it greatly deserves. In my humble opinion, this is the greatest rock n roll song ever recorder.

  • @harvbanger They certainly deserve to be on next years R&R Hall of Fame ballot list. ;)

  • @harvbanger Although I hesitate to call anything the "greatest" in rock, I agree with the spirit of your post wholeheartedly and confess to having similar thoughts everytime I listen to this tune.

  • @cohenfs

OK, so maybe I went overboard just a tad....it's difficult naming ANY song the greatest of all time. Let's just make this easier by saying this song should be considered one of the greatest rock n roll songs of all time. Is that fair?

  • @cohenfs Of course it's fair!

  • @harvbanger Totally agree!! Have the vinyl.Album cover is a classic!

  • @harvbanger i half agree! not the GREATEST ever recorded, because that number one spot soesnt exist, seriously! too many greats to determine that!!! but this is def in the top 50 for sure, cant place it properly though....hmmm, dude its just to hard to put a number on the classics!
