My thoughts exactly. The player deserved it though. Put his hands on the referee first, because he didn't like the call. Big no-no in any sport, but especially one where the referee has total autonomy during the game (i.e. he could give you a red card for being too ugly, he'd probably get fired, but his decision would stand).
