  • Ray, this is SO COOL!! what type of camera did you use to film this?? the pics are really great. Some really cool/weird stuff down there, huh? This must have been so fun! ♥ LOVE your music selection too! ♥ Emily

  • Thanks Emily cc: Rachel @guitarrx3girl

Being able to be underwater for almost an hour at a time really changes your outlook. It's a different world. Makes you feel very fortunate, but very tiny, at the same time. Scuba is much more relaxing than skydiving. :-)

FYI: My "animal life" and "lemon shark" videos are full motion video (not just slide shows).

I used an off-the-shelf Sony Mini-DV camcorder (born 2004) and a special waterproof housing that cost $800--more than the camcorder itself!

  • Great pictures. beautiful.

  • @RuntLaLaLa Thanks for watching & thanks for the compliment.

  • Belize is an incredible place! Nice photos!

    Slow news day, huh?

  • no lol and that's not the first time you've told me that!

  • Looks so much fun:) One day i hope i can dive in a sea like that:)

  • Hilde, thank you for coming here! It's so flattering to have a wonderful talent come to visit!

Norway's water temperatures are very challenging for diving! I hope you can travel to the Red Sea or Mediterranean to learn to dive sometime... it is a wonderful experience.

  • Red sea, yes one day. And i am going to Egyp, autralia, paris, and USA. At least before my days are over:)

Yep. My Significant Other spotted that and later called it B*tt Coral. But you're the scientist! Cheers!

  • And as for 4.26-Ahem.

  • MissRbeckett

Yep. She spotted that one too.

I don't remember that kind of thing on the old Jacques Cousteau specials.

  • Nicely edited. Great music choice and great pictures.

  • Studio688

Nice to hear such compliments from someone who has experience. Best of luck and Happy Bubbles.

Assembling a library of appropriate royalty-free music, and mixing it into the video sequences, were probably the hardest parts of creating these videos. Exploring creativecommons dot org and archive dot org is as frustrating and as rewarding as finding singing talent on YouTube.

  • LOL at the interspersed airplane shots. I thought the music was very well suited to your photos. There are some truly amazing things below the surface, aren't there? Very nicely done.
