  • dam that thing feels heavy on approach

  • I LOVE the sound the 777 makes when flaps are being deployed!

  • i love how the middle spoiler was just like "ehh, dont wanna go all the way up..."

  • heathrow to toronto is a nice flight

  • im going on a 321 forom vancouver to toronto. i tot im going to be on 777 or 767. my shitty luck.

  • was it snowing?

  • the descent into toronto on the aircanada 777 always seems very quick and steeper than the descent into london heathrow. I'm guessing this is because heathrow has a higher volume of air traffic at times. i always love the high speed exit onto the taxiway after landing on the 777 at toronto from heathrow. they always seem to exit the runway onto the taxiway at highspeed

  • looks like a lot of turbulence!

was there any turbulence during the flight?

plus i think it's just stupid to have one of those beasts fly such short destinations. i think that they should use a smaller range aircraft like a EMBRAER 190 or 175, don't you think? but, other wise very good vid. i like!

  • @DanTheCaptain The only reason they used the 777 on a short route is so the pilots could get used to them before starting trans-atlantic service. AC Took the 777 of this route now for quite some time.

  • Sorry but they still fly this route often, flew on one again in December.

  • @NorthStarDC4M That was a repositioning flight which was an exception.

  • I was on board Air Canada's C-FITL from Frankfurt (FRA) to Toronto (YYZ)

  • nice crabbing

  • i love air canada

  • lol your mom is a radiation

  • says the guy from the country that creates the most garbage per person and has the most obese people consuming the worlds food with out the USA, Africa wouldn't be starving

  • Tirez-vous une bûche, Mesdames et Messieurs, vous venez d'arriver à Montréal !

  • 777-300ER is my favourite and this vid

  • the 7770300 landing gear makes quite a clunk when it retracts. It's almost scary

  • first time i flew it and it was very misty ( it was cat 3) and they pulled the landing gear out i thout we touched down xD

  • The A330-300 gear makes a loud bang (like someone used a Baseball bat to hit the floor of the airplane)

    When the gear retracts.

  • i landed aboard one of these this morning, toronto, wonderful flight

  • wonderful video !! I love landing in mist

  • This was a really good VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved how you recorded everything including the taxi to the gate.

  • Many thanks for a quality video, nice to see that you recorded all the way into the gate. It must have been a treat to fly on

    such a new aircraft.

  • i love steep descents

  • I find the 777 a very comfortable airliner. I flew home with Air Canada from a trip in Toronto, november 2007. Brand new, and had only done a few flights prior to the one I was on.

    Nice plane.

  • oh yeah, thats true!. my father is a Air Canada pilot for the boeing 777-200LR aircraft he was one of the first to fly it for ACA and has way over 1000 hours. i usually go with my bad when he does the hong kong flights or UK and Europe flights, i either sit jump seat of first class. The plane is very very comfortable. before when he flew the A330 my dad and i didn't like it too much, fun to fly but not very comfortable and well in my dad's words reliable. lol

  • so comfortable boeing 777 aircanada when i went to see the beijing olympics!! seems like it not moving above the clouds, but once it;s about to land, Holy shit its fast1!!!!!!

  • este avion tiene pantallas personales para cada asiento???

does this airplane has PTV on each seat?

going canada 31 januara and flying with this airline, cannot wait!

  • yep all air canada airplanes have PTV on each seat.

  • There are AC air crafts with no PTV.

  • I meant all AC 777 sorry :)

  • ya 3 a330's dont't ahve

  • : )

  • Air Canada FTL.....Westjet/Southwest FTW

  • LOVE aircanada, going canada 16th febuary and flying with this airline, cannot wait!

    x

  • smooth landing and nice video !! 5*

  • I always wanted to fly for Air Canada.

  • who do you fly for now?

  • Well. No airline, i am in training with the cessna 172s.

  • Can anyone tell me whats that grinding noise at 4:58?

  • Thrust Reverser or the last set of flaps.

  • Wow soft landing...can someone tell me why did the plane retracted the flaps right before it landed? Thanks.

  • the flaps didn't go up until the plane was long off the runway.

  • It didn't retract flaps right before landing...

  • i just got back from bc. THe construction speed limits are a real pain there at the moment. 30kmh in some areas. making fuel inneficient driving and long journey time for short distances. THe world seems such small place when you fly. I have heard pilots talk who enjoy doing there job that they still see no point in flying and in some way i agree that they don't see the point in it.

  • thank you your a smart man

  • fuck u there part of our country u guys speak fukin spanish

  • i agree the spanish fucking cocksuckers

  • what kinda stupid crap are you talkin'?

  • Do you really need a 777-300 to go just for 55mins, (Toronto Pearson Int'l to Pierre Elliott Trudeau Int'l). Just asking.

  • Well, i dont know about you but if I have 2 options to fly the toronto-montreal flight:

    -the first with a A320, a small-medium aircraft, not so new or;

-the second with the NEWEST BOEING 777-300ER of Air Canada, 1 of the best plane technologies and seats, and stuff.

I would OFF COURSE get the second option.

    Have a nice day.

  • a lot of people could have booked that flight

  • its a connecting flight fumb as

  • so whats your point and what's a fumb as

  • hell no it's to reposition the aircraft

  • it depends on what plane is available and how many passengers there are,...

  • its to reposition the aircraft and carry a lot of passengers on high density routes

  • yep, thats seems like it cause mine was 40k.fun stuff!

  • they fly at least 2 a day Toronto-Heathrow. The flight before mine came in from LHR.

  • i wish air canada did direct flight from london to canada on the 777. THey only do direct flight with the airbus from heathrow. seems strange

  • in ocktober i'm goeing on air canada 777-300ER Toronto-heathrow

  • Yeah, which seat was this because a few weeks a go I flew an Air Canada 777-300ER (the second one built btw) from Toronto(CYYZ) to Beijing(ZBAA) on AC 31, and I sat in seat 40 which looks to me like the same view as I had! I took a few vids from the flight and will be posting them up later, but yeah aside from that great video!

  • this was shot from 39K

  • what was that sound at 5:43 to 5:45 it was like WOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!

  • you gotta be pretty good to be hired as a pilto for air canada. Multi lingual

  • well i live in canada and i speak 3 languages.

  • what seat is this on the Boeing 777-300ER

  • french is one of the world languages you retard! canada is a bilingual country and that is their asset! nice landing.

  • why do u call him retard? he doenst know that.

  • Canadians speak French?

  • it's a flight from Montreal Quebec where french is the language. But everything is in both languages on Canadian flights

More Canadians speak english but both languages are official languages

  • your a moron man

  • Let me guess your american. if u are canadian then you would have to take French in school as a second language where US takes Spanish

  • how the fuck did you make it to 30 when you're such a retard??? click on our names moron, we're canadian too! and i dont know what shitty corner of the country you live in, probably out east, but in canada you dont HAVE to learn french in school....

  • your the fucking retard who doesnt know what second language our country speeks fucking retard! and the part of canada that im from you do so fuck off!

  • yes they do, english and french.

  • Yea... Sadly :( Luckily only in Quebec

  • I enjoy the oceanic flights when their is a strong xwind and you see the motion of the wing banking left and right to maintain track against the horizon. this was on flight c05 boeing 777 from gatwick to houston on continental. I must say this was the nastiest cabin pressurization i ever felt on my ears. it felt like sombody had just ramed a vacum into my eardrum. I used the jeppesen training method of pinching my nose and closing my eyes and breathing gently into my nose to relieve pressure.

  • i hate foggy weather but i would fligh any time..

    love planes!

    :=)

  • THe worst inflight meals has to be continental airlines. Our starter was a bag of nuts which contained 6 whole mini nuts. Healthy i guess but not the most complimentary. I think united has better inflight service than continental. At least united give you real chicken breast & not reconstituded chicken like continental do. COntinental have nice planes but crap food service. their flight attendents no how to look an be proffesional but lack any good food onboard.

  • u didn't taste air transat's food did u?? aha!! I think it is as bad as continental...

  • That was strangely quiet for the entire 9 minutes.

It sounds like you were the only passenger on that flight.

Just as weird....only 2 other planes at the terminal.

  • This summer a 77W is used on ACs FRA-YUL route...would love to that trip (on one hand for flying that plane, one on the other hand Montréal is one of the greatest cities I have ever been to) , but unfornunately I can't afford it right now :-( Being a fuckin' student really sucks...

  • A pia airplane was grounded at our airport due to shody pakistani workmanship.

The only thing pakistanis export is pakistanis.

  • Please Sir I am having your wefare cheque? Yes please.

You pay tax please. I no work or pay tax please, just give be all benefit of welfare cheque.

  • @myturbansonfire, You indian are always obsessed about Pakistanis.

  • As a Pakistani i feel proud of this plane since Pakistan supplies Boeing with components for the B767 & the B777 including engine parts

last year Boeing purchased over a hundred million dollars worth of components from Pakistan.

  • Who cares if your country supplies parts to Boeing? No-one in the Western world gives a crap about those worthless countries anyway.

  • I've flown air canada and I 100% agree with you the service is so crappy and prices are ridiculous. No wonder Air Canada's going bankrupt who'd fly such a crappy airline and pay so much when you can pay less for superior service with Etihad or PIA (expensive ticket but excellent service)

  • that was SOFT¨

  • I like Air Canada New Color, I like it better than old color.. I love it..

  • how does it feel to be on a -300 i know it looks alot longer can u feel it by just being in there?

  • was on the same 777 LHR-YYZ recently...

  • cool video

  • WOW You can actually hear the flaps!

I like Air Canada, how can you say they have bad service. They are as safe as Southwest Airlines.

  • air canada's service is horrible. it seems that the flight attendants feel that they are doing you a favour when you get served. In addition i find the safety factor questionable based on first and second hand knowledge. I believe Westjet is overall a better airline, currently. I hope however air canada can get their shit together, I have been loyal and still am somewhat.

  • OH! OK (:D

  • In nov 2007, my family and I flew Air Canada when we went to Canada from Denmark, and we are rather pleased with them. We even flew home from Toronto - Frankfurt on a brand new 777-300ER and it was a very comfortable flight and good service. I have no complaints

  • safety and good service are 2 different thing. I'm never flying air canada ever again

  • OK OK!! Jeese guys, I was kidding. Everyone knows Southwest is a hell of alot better.

  • I don't think so..?

unless its new . i thought that flight was considered short/medium range.. and why would a 777 be flying that?

  • yeah

    montreal and toronto!

    definately

  • what are you talking about air canada rocks

  • I AGREE

    very skilled pilots

  • Why don't they fly to Hungary?

  • visibility means nothing. system does most of the flying in these situations.

  • Very true...

  • Zero visibility in the first part in the video :)

  • Looks like 90% cloud cover.

  • looks like you know much about the weather! if I'm looking to your name...

  • Looks like you approached from the northeast. That's interesting. I live in Montreal so I know lol.

  • Nice and shiny :P

  • Sweet Vid Peter

  • that took soo long!

  • but 747s are a lot more popular so u cant base it on that same with boeing to airbus boeing sells way more planes

  • amazing aircraft!

  • no its a flight from montreal to toronto to an other place in the world its not just that short flight

  • actuly it is just a flight to montreal, they want the pilots to get as much experiance on the plane before sendiing it out of the country.

  • yep they are testing them before they start long haul to Austrlia and Asia

  • I wonder why they use such a large plane, for a short flight from montreal to toronto?

  • because the 777-300er is fast and because its fuel efficiant

  • no becuase its just dropping off the rest of the passengers because it was really just to save money by not buying another palne to do the flish from the same country just from a near by city

  • because of all the people that need to get from montreal to toronto or vice versa

  • Since is is a new airplane, and crews are new on it, they use short route for pilots to get more familiar with the aircraft.

  • The boeing 747, came into service in 1974 and the 747 had about 10 incidents, within 10 years. Airbus 340 has been in service for about 13 years now. No accident yet, knock on wood. Keep it safe airbus, dun get me wrong boeing makes good stuff too.

  • yeah, but a340 had 1 accident: Air France obershut the rinwau, but that whas a fault of the co-pilot; he whas reversing to late! if he had reversed before, they maybe made it! with FULL REVERSE and parkingbrakes...

  • plus he landed like half way down the runway and the runway was wet with rain because of a storm

  • The 747 has had its fair share of accidents throughout the years but if I'm not mistaken only one of those accidents occurred on a 747-400, the Singapore airlines flight 7 years ago that was due to pilot error. And since the 744 is the model that came out closest to the time period that the A340 came out I dont think its fair to compare the relatively recent A340 with much earlier versions of the 747. 747-400 and A340 (all models) are both great planes.

  • Is that snow or rain?

  • it was snow, light flurries about -2*C in Montreal. +10*C in Toronto...

  • That deponeds on the temperature is!.

  • 777 toronto to montreal is a huge waste,

  • its part of a connection for an international flight, it will more then likely go on to Heathrow or Frankfurt

  • The 777 will probably be used for Asian destinations.

  • Comment removed

  • i think airbus are safer then boeings

  • Boeing and Airbus is only companies any airlines has safety records.

  • Airbus suck.. Boeing rules. If u like airbus you can play with "tamagotchi".. it's the same thing

  • oh really if airbus suck why do boeings crash more often

  • Boeing was born in 1916, airbus in 1970.. Today there are approx. 4600 airbus in operation and MORE THAN 11000 BOEING in operation around the world.. remember boy the 707 or the DC8 ARE STILL FLYING!

  • because there are more Boeing plane that flight... about safety it's the same like Airbus

  • Agree with u man

  • Airbus and Boeing was the same!!! Good Professional and quality

  • Toronto to Montreal on a 777? Wtf?

  • Almost forgot - the Boeing 777 is a brilliant aeroplane, sparkling with new technology and that is able to fly from London (UK) to Sydney - non-stop! I'm from Scotland, and I feel kind of guilty not supporting the European Airbus more, but I've got to hand it to the guys at Boeing - they've really excelled themselves with this beauty. Long live the 777!

  • I guess the airplane just stops from Toronto to Montreal and directs itself to another destination after departing from Montreal

  • I haven't been on a plane in years, and this video really gave me the feeling like i was actually there. Thanks for the wonderful video NorthStar DC4M

  • what an Aircraft.. i have never got to fly on a 777 just the 767 and the A333. But im hopeing to next year.

  • Almost forgot - the Boeing 777 is a brilliant aeroplane, sparkling with new technology and that is able to fly from London (UK) to Sydney - non-stop! Long live the 777!

  • I already pointed this out in one vid, but the 777-300ER can fly a total of 7,880 nautical miles - that's 14,850 kilometres. Yet, there's only 315 miles between Toronto and Montreal. Why'd they use such a big, classy, long-range bird for such a short leg? I'd be expecting them to operate routes from Canada to Asia with these things.

  • Air Canada always puts it's new planes on Toronto-Montreal, to get crews qualified. The 777s even then were being flown Toronto-Heathrow as well, and will soon by flying more routes to Europe and Asia.

  • Oh, OK. Thanks for that, just wanted to know.

  • Boy you Canadians live the high life. A B777 for such a short flight. Were you served a glass of french wine too?

  • Lucky me I fly from Frankfurt to Montreal in august 13th maybe they fly the boeing 777 I saw it on my way to frankfurt in montreal!

  • i will fly with the aircraft from Aircanada in June if the changes begin to frankfurt from A330 to B777!

  • Yes. I prefer the B777, too.

  • awesome video, I can't wait to fly one of those big airplanes :). I wish my dad had the chance to piloting the a/c..

  • the 340 dies and the 777 flies

  • Yes. Of course. I agree with you Doctors2Advocate. The B777 flies!

  • Awesome. I loved the takeoff video too. My favourite of all commercial a/c, and I kept wishing that Air Canada would have added the 777 to its fleet years ago like UAL.

  • I love the boeing 747/777 and now the 787 dremliner

  • Hai robertparmar san. I am a Boeing enthusiast, too.

  • Thanx for posting this nice video, enjoyed it very much !!!

  • love the 777 series, especially the loong -300 and 300ER.
