This was when Red was used to identify Democrats and Blue was used to identify Republicans.  I was just six years old when this aired.

@nicklebackfan I was 19 at the time. I don't know what changed the Democrat Party color to blue from red. But red is much more appropriate for that bunch. It's the color of Communist China who now own us.

@WilliamRowlett if i thought any of them ever WERE in the military they would have learned the maps always show the enemy in red and the good guys in blue. maybe that is where they came up with it. but then again, they are democrats.
