  • This doesnt even make sense at all, everyone has a addiction to something why make a bid deal about warcraft? i can think of many many other addictions a heel of alot worse then wow. Why dont you go be a crackhead or a heroin addict and then lets see if you still think wow addiction is so bad.

  • Yeah, this can happen. BUT, if you are a regular player, you will not watch TV, you will play WoW. If you look at your /played you might be scared, but hey! How many days have you been watching TV? Or wasting your money on gambling etc. Those numbers are not taken seriously, even they are larger.

  • @Tazzs3123 /watch?v=pNJlE7eh6hU

  • Light of The Dawn...

  • Being a WoW addict is not the problem,as i see.Being a WoW addict and playing bad is a real problem.

  • wow can be addictive, i admit i was addicted to it in highschool, and i quit about 2 months after wotlk came out........i didnt have any sort of craving to play wow at all, lets put it this way. if someone said "if you dont play wow for a whole day i will give you 100 bucks, a wow player could do that no problem, but you say that to a cocaine addict or alcoholic and see how far you get

  • @Tazzs3123

No, that would be more like saying 100 bucks to never play any video game ever. That's pretty hard.

  • thumbs up if u were playing wow and watching this

  • I admit it. I PLAY WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I enjoyed playing, not as high levels, but as low levels... those were the most memorable and epic to me.

  • you don't even know what it's like playing wow Ihave tried to quit time and time again and now I"m sitting here with 7 80's a 72 71 and a 52 in kul tiras

  • People who get addicted to playing videogames are the same people who get addicted to watching TV etc.

For people with normal IQ's playing video games is a hobby.

  • @azamore7557

Kk my AIM = ronviva2790 if ya wanna do some questing with my Warrior...

and btw.. what zerlap4744 wrote in their message was the truth. :D Blizz just revealed that the Cataclysm official opening movie somehow leaked on multiple web sites. I attempted uploading it but Youtube took it down almost immediatly.

Go here for the full story plus introduction vid:

  • Wow ruined my grades, i got 3 B+ on my honors classes. It could have been A's but raiding was more important to me at the time. :(((((

  • for people addicted to wow, go play fallout 3. nvm, you'll just get addicted to that

  • @aeroces7 go play fallout 2

  • I'll be it. World of Warcrafr is addicting. I'm not addicted though [I just recentley quit for 4 months to test myself]. However, of WoW is addicting that means that Call of Duty is, Drugs are, Alclohol is, Fallout 3 is....

    Please don't flame me.

  • i like wow but its mostly just for the pvp aspect of the game the world is sick too tho how its so big and the looks but i am not "addicted" i have only a bc account i never bought wotlk i just play my 70 chars i havnt played since january 2 but im getting 3 month on the first of april but i know im not "addicted" because i have 120 cash right now and i can easily go buy wotlk and play but i dont

  • It reminds me of the good old days.

  • Okay for the newer players to WoW, (Anyone that joined during TBC), People were so heavily addicted to this, because raids were so much longer and harder, for example, it would take almost a full week to clear Naxx. Newer players don't understand the addiction becuase there's nothing to be addicted too.

  • World of warcraft is an addiction for those who cannot cope with it. Some people can play 20/7 and still be able to quit wenever. world of warcraft only has killed 7 people. All diagnosed with terminal brain illnises. Everyone else that has experianced seasues due to WoW, I suggest you quit at that point.

  • noooooooooooob

  • wow killing ppl? not really. wow is just a game and cant kill any1. if someone take their life because of wow then they have problems beside their addiction to the game. and if wow is so bad, check pokémon then. kids have jumped of roofs thinking that they are high lvl pokemons that can fly. but not because they like pokemon so much. they had problems at home or just malfunctions in their brain or something...

  • omg STOP disabling audio !

  • lol

  • Awesome no sound, makes a great docum.

  • proud to have uninstalled and canceled my subscription in july :D

  • the game never ends... if you got everything maxxed out i bet ya you would even play more than before when you didnt have shit.

  • No, this game isnt like that. The facter of social networking brought into the game means you cannot complete it. Even if you have everything maxed there is still that factor of playing with/helping friends/ playing for fun/ showing off gear/boasting/ etc. it never ends.

proud to have just uninstalled + cancelled WoW/ account 20 minutes ago

  • Wow is boring anyway..

  • What if you have totally maxed out best gear,All achievements done all the quests EVER done(your faction only ofc) and have reached the cap for honor kills and have done everylast dungeon and stuff wouldnt that be the closest thing to beating it?

  • Then you start a new type of character...or play horde.

  • The point is that you can always go do something. There are no set levels. You can still go kill shit for no apparent reason. Thats what is meant by unbeatable simply because there is no ending to beat. Not to mention the constant patches and expansions

  • yes, it would be, but there keep getting made new quest, gear and contentens. Blizzard have employeded that only work to find out how to keep getting more to play the game and how to keep those who already playes it. So as a fact, even if you do all that stuff, you cant make it before there comes new things.

-even though I would be pretty amased if you have compleated every achivement! because that is almost impossible, because theres so many different kind. you cant be good at every thing xD

  • 0:08 that isn't Azeroth btw. That's Outland.

But beside that fact, I agree it can be addicting, for some.

  • stupid youtube fucked this video up by taking out the music, it was brilliant before

  • hm yea, I was addicted to WoW back in the days, although I don't feel like playing it much these days, I think the game has died years ago but I'll still throw money at it for no reason :(

  • I doubt anybody was realy addicted to WoW. People are throwing that word around to lighthearted now adays. Addiction is alot more severe then the extreme playing some people do.

  • tell that to my mom =(

  • um 17 people have died cause they didnt get up to go to the bathroom or eat or sleep. and alot of kids have killed them selfs cause there parents took the game away from then. if thats not addiction then i dont know what is

  • Thats a lie basic human insinct is stronger than addiction you are just repeating rummeros..if you belive that then you probaly belive the moon landing is fake that alins are coming 2012 and that the iluminati are trying to take over the world..

  • no it is true none of that happen in the states though it happend in japan my sister lives there and it was all over the news. it against the law there to gold farm and to play for more then 8 hours a day

  • Good job at spreading rumers if that were true it would have bin in the news all over the world..

  • It did happen but its the only one i know of there are videos of it on youtube and there was news of it where it happend the rest of the world like the US doesn't give a shit lol but its the only one i know of

  • people kill themselves because of wow.. what could be a worse result? killing youself because of a game. if u dont think thats addiction what dio you think is??

  • Oh god thoe are all urban legends none of that crap is true

  • I think you got a mental disfunction if you would do something like taht ..

  • haha yeah ive been playing WoW for 3 years. on summer vacations, holidays and stuff i would play around 100-115 hours a week. and around 70 hours on school weeks

  • Humans can addict to virtually anything. Don't blame the video game for your lack of self control.

  • Ha, they ruined my video. Care to elaborate on which track needs changing?

  • @Quintus8987 probaly a bit late but probaly mad world im guessing...btw ive probaly watched this video at least 12 times.... lol and im still playing!

  • @Quintus8987 id just repost it with all the same music

  • what the fuck man!! the soundtrack was fitting perfectly.

  • WoW is addictive because there are things you can do in WoW u cant do in real life unless your rich.

  • ok...running around in a midevial world with fucking dragons....how is that even REMOTELY similar to real life?

  • You ever been to Basildon in Essex?

  • that... was a very good comeback sir

  • I quit WoW 6 months ago and still if i had my internet connection at home back tomorow i'd start again but i wont obviously, im still figuring out if i can ever have a connection at home again without starting to play. quiting WoW is easy the "craving" wich gets heavier after time is the worst part of it. People who still claim WoW isnt addictive and doesnt cause problems are really ignorant, thats in my opinion at least .

  • ive been off wow for 2 months now, my computer at the moment cant play it properly, im trying to put off buying a new comp cause im scared ill start playing again

  • @jonvuu2 old comment but this is youtube

    look up addiction

    dumbass

you dont know what it means

  • @jonvuu2 i quit also (mainly becuase i got hacked and banned) but i got ever it fast, after a while WoW is boring but then, when you hear about a new expansion. . . i wana play again

  • @jonvuu2 WoW is addictive, but so is every other game. It's actually the players fault if he plays 20 hours a day. But hey, that still better than what the guy in the top comment said. I myself play about 2 hours a day, and about 5-7 on saturday and sunday. Thats how i spend my free time. Some watch tv, but nobody calls them no lifers, but they practicly do the same thing, sit and watch at the screen, and at least i socialize(yeah on the internet) and have fun.

  • @jonvuu2 If you honestly think wow is "addictive" you're a dumbass and a weak person

  • @supermanofmen This video is old. You don't know how it used to be. Back in the day it was all about grinding. The longer you played the better you got. And that was the addictive part. Now you can come online, do your guild raids, do your dailies and you're done.

  • i dont even think WoW is fun i realised this once i hit level 52 but it was too late

  • Acctually i never got addicted to the game . BTW i never get addicted to a video game and other computer things's.Dunno why.

  • "at worst, make you start wearing glasses"? i think your missing another few a liiiittle important too like: tendinitis carpal tunnel overweight (lack of exercise) strokes (same) malnutrition muscular dystrophy stress anxiety back problem (posture and others) and the list goes on and on...
  • Alcohol addiction, for example, leads to liver cirrhosis, atherosclerosis, and frequent beatings to your wife and children (if available.)

WoW addiction, however, leads to Onyxia's Lair, the Black Temple, and Icecrown Citadel, not to mention tons of epic items.

So... you choose; a chemical that can miserably murder you, or a videogame that can, at worst, make you start wearing glasses?

  • at worst?!

    rofl

  • wow addiction cost me 2100 gold...

  • @Thamer4life

Yes but an alcoholic person (or most of them) work so they make money and live of something and (most of them) don't live with their parent's and aren't dependent on nobody except them selfs.

  • @gazojka I don't know what sort of view you hold towards WoW players, but I assure you generalization is a wrongful accusation.

Not all those who drink alcohol are wife-beating drunkards, and not all WoW players are broke geeks with low self-esteem.

Personally, I think that it's a matter of choice to stop playing WoW. Otherwise, we need to book the addict an appointment at the psychiatrist. Many people have emptiness inside and seek to fill it with valueless matters, videogames or not.

  • @Thamer4life

You've said that really nice and I agree with you 100%. I don't have nothing about WoW players really in a matter of fact some of my friends play WoW. But these people need help this is a freaking addiction like alcohol and drugs but they are not aware of it. And if you are an alcoholic or play WoW for 10 to 12 hours a day, then I think it comes to same thing. Addiction.

  • I have been playing WoW since April of 2007, on school weeks I play 50-57 hours a week, on vacation or in the summer, I can play up to 100-110 hours a week. So much wasted time that I will never get back. Say goodbye to a social life. Say goodbye to your future, and welcome lost weekends on the computer, with not many friends or girlfriend, with a questonable future.................And it's all becuase of this game

  • guess you lose

  • Yes I do lol, yes I do!

    I'm runnign The Nexus atm...

  • ROFL i'm running an instance with my GF and 3 other friends in about 5 minutes, and i'm going to harvard next year, yeah this game sure fucked me up

  • First off you don't play it all day 24/7 like I do, obviously you don't..

Btw I played back in Pre-BC when raiding took forever

  • I spent so much real money on buying gold (at least 100k worth of WoW gold at this point) and realised how terrible and stupid it was for me to do such a thing. I would also play the game from 8 am to at least 4 am everyday. It got to the stage where I would only have wee naps in between game sessions to ensure I was early at the auction house.

Anyway, I finally kicked the habit, joined Everquest (since they have a way better economy) and it' the best thinge ever. Glad to say, I QUIT WOW!

  • Anything is bad in excess. There is people that have more CoD5 played than someone who's been playing WoW for a year, yey were not sitting there whining about the game and saying it's addictive.

Addiction: the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

It is a huge stretch to say WoW causes severe trauma. Quit whining about wow.

  • until you have finished your education and your in a full time job, otherwise you have to hope to god that your not part of the 50% that will get addicted coz you can pretty much kiss the thought of having a successful life goodbye

  • ive been playing WoW since february 2008 and i can honestly say its nearly ruined my life. im 15 and about to do my final GCSE's. i went to a sixth form college interview and found out that i cant do the courses i want because i have low effort grades in nearly everything. the reason why: i blew off revising, homework, coursework all to just play wow i think about it at school at lunch and in lesson i haven't concentrated on anything in the last year.

  • i'm failing at school and all i can show for it is a lvl 80 warlock. i've recently quit WoW cold turkey and im on prozac because ive been so depressed. im desperately trying to get my grades back up so i can do the courses i want. i can believe that its true now that 50% of people who play wow get addicted. so if anyone is thinking of starting or has just started to play it i suggest that if your a student you stay away from it until u have finished

  • FFS youtube FUCKED UP this vid by taking the music :(

  • I play WoW, but i wouldn't say im addicted, i can still go out and communicate with people, im not obsessed with the game, and if someone plays WoW for 40 days, how is that diffrent from spending 40 days on a Xbox or Playstation, its still a game, its jsut a computer game so we become adicts... i got a few epics yeh, and quite a high play time but i still fit WoW around my life, not my life around WoW, its just a game, not a way of life as some people seem to think.

  • I think the WoW addicten idea is taken a little too heavy.. its not the same as being drugaddicted or something like that. if ur addicted it means u cant stop playing even if u want to stop. In most cases people quit if they want to stop, and keep playing if they want to. u cant blame WoW for addiction just becouse its a fun game. imo atleast..

  • I agree that this is just another way to spend time.

However, two expansion packs later Blizzard has made it so the game can be taken in a more casual level. Instead of 40 man raids you have 25 or even 10and there are many raids you can be put into during the week. Also, even if your gear doesnt drop you get what is called badges that you can save up to buy the gear you want from badge vendors.

  • very nice powerpoint

  • Wow i have never looked at it that way.. ive been playing WoW for 3 years now every single day im on after school i go straight to my computer to play i never do any homework im failing my classes in which i have never done before im zoning everything out like going places with my family eating dinner which i always say im not so hungry. look im only 14 years old and i am failing all of my classes and finals are coming up and i need to do good to pass...

  • Hey whats the name of the song... its on the gears of war commerical anyone know?

  • I have no hobbies other than scuba diving which I can only do in the summer. there nothing on tv. accept sex and violence. so this game fills the gap. I have a full time job and a husband and a son. and there all into this game (thanks to me) we have family fun day where I make up contest and teaching my son stratgey. my son rocks in the bg's but he has not got into the aspects of the game quite yet.

  • 2 70's each with 50 days a lvl 80 with 47 days who cares? i suck at sports what the hell am i supposed to do. i play other stuff too, and have a life and a job this video did a good job of not concerning anybody about world of warcraft, nice job..... best gear in the game LOLOL. make a new video about how easy it is in WOTLK to get gear. i have 3/5 tier 7 and all epics already barely 2 months in. and its the best gear so far.

  • stillspend hoursdowning 25 or 10 man raids. These people still spend ungodly amounts of time getting what they have too. I suppose over the years, more people figured that it was just easier to exploit people so they didn't damage their lives too much. Not that it helped that much. Ok so my guild has now cleared 25 man maly, but guess another instance is opening soon. and lets not forget arena and PVP now either. As far a badges go, please, that barely cuts a 1/5 of the time it takes to gear up.

  • And you are probably a guild leader or officer who exploits other people in the game to get gear that easily. Seriously, i have played the game since release; I recently quit. There are four types of people in this game, the casual gamers, who are reviled, teased, and behind the progression curve;

  • when i played i never thought i was addicted, but now that i quit i realized it. im still playing xbox live everyday though and its still tempting to think about.

  • omg you guys say that after you play you think what could i have done instead of playing like learn a new language or something? and then say that what we are really doing is staring at pixels on a screen? why dont you apply that knowledge to the next time you pick up a game controller and play CoD4? wow is a game just like any other so stfu. you should give up watching tv, listening to music, and playing games because its really just moving pixels right? or its really just sound huh?

  • world of warcraft is the new anti-christ is was developed and created by the devil. to make you a mindless zombie.rofl@!!!!!!!!!

  • Fucking Lol.

  • Nearly 100 days. So what?

    STOP THE DRAMA!

  • yeah the game's addictive but only if you don't keep up a healthy social life and your job/schoolwork to the same standard its always been and HAVE OTHER HOBBIES. then i think it's just another game, dont take it too seriously.

  • yes it does make you say wow but now people have level caps that goto 80, Wolrd of Warcraft Original:60 TBC:70 WOTLK:80... whats the next expansion? 90? 100? 200? never know, just to many people addicted and want to be ebtter than everyone els, take a look at this vid people and consider it a warning if your addicted to playing world of warcraft all day long...

  • WoW makes you say wow

  • well I myself just stopped playing the game, only reason I played it in the first place was because I am such a Warcraft fan, but in time I felt that I didn't like wow that much further on. First of all it is the same thing all over again 24/7 and I kinda like the Warcaft history but in WoW all the cool known herois (witch 80% of the players don't know ofc..) just turns as bosses and killed easily and much of the history is getting ruined here and my personal experience gets ruined, well im done

  • befor i played wow i used to think how can u be so addicited to a game i mean its a game wldtn ug e tbored and give up the thing is it is so easy to say its jst a game why wld u waste ur life on it, but thats liek saying smokes are jst a stik with fire how cld u not give it up, if u play wow ull understand jst how hard it is to give up and that u dnt even realise that ur wasteign ur lfie playing it all day.

  • World of Warcraft has reached a new population milestone: 11.5 million, according to creator Blizzard Entertainment.

mad world? nah... it just new real world, this one will be called old and borring, im playin it, and m rly concerned, so i took a month off to c whats gonna happen. day 18th and i had a dream of playing wow. worse than this r only high end drugs like horse and coke i guess.

  • GAME ON PRivATE SERVERS like exp x 20 get lvl 70 go sunwell and stop playing because of being bored !!! ;D

  • ok some one tell me the name of that song!!

  • Mad World by Gary (someone i cant remember) Gears of War made this song popular.

  • lol...it's called friendship and brotherhood, when you play the game with others...actually that's more importent than anything else...and it takes skill and experinece to lvl up fast...and to do dungeons alone...but people doesn't want to do quests and do dungeons alone...LOL

  • it is really sad to see that people can get so addicted to a virtual world that they forget about everyone and everything around them..............its like meth that can be accessed by 9 year olds :(...

  • i too am a wow addict but as u see the days people have played its not how many days they have played, you have to consider people who are addicted to wqow play the whole day which is about 6-8 hours and maybe even 10 if ur raiding but thats not a day u have to add all of those up to be one day so in all someone who has played 44 days has actually played about 2-3 years

  • this wow stuff is deeeep wow... i feeel for the wowheads... you guys are worse than actual drug addicts.

  • I think when you have lived life since you were born, you want to experience new things and go beonyed the average day on earth...and WoW gives you that power. Why not hang out with friends in a world where a day is never boring?...sure sometimes it gets riddiculus but anybody can logg out. People say its an addiction but the players know when anybody says that they are addicted they say to there selves "why not play".

  • That is the true :/ Pepole play to much, even i can play to much sometimes... But as u say, no one can beat the game...

  • The only reason people say its an addiction and almost cant get themselves to stop playing it is because its so fun...Blizzard created a game where its almost better than life, You can be whatever you want to be, do almost whatever you want, and do it all with real people. The game is fun as well as a challenge. Plus you have the ability to pwn someones face. I consider WoW fun, and im not sure if its a fun hobby or an addiction. It really doesn't matter if you ask me, No harm no foul.

  • thats exactly right, its really fun, but if i'll play when i'm not out with friends or at school.

Most people who say its an addiction is people who have never played or who want to play but can't because they can't spend 15 dollars a month

  • WOw addiction isnt Possible and i think everyone can Press Logout Button

  • seriously its not an addiction people just need to learn to get a life and socialize aswell as play thats what it do

  • Its just a Game!! omg

  • wow isnt really much diff than any other game. ppl play it, talk, do challenging quests, missions, etc, and can spend many hours doing so. ive heard of CoD addicts

  • are u fucktarded? it took me 2 days to get to lvl 60, and bou 3 more days to get to 70, i was messing around

those tiems are so untrue lol

  • Lies

  • 2 days? you can't even accomplish that skipping food, bathroom, and eating. You're a liar

  • bahahahhaaha, I love how wow zombies try to stick up for their beloved game. The fact is, their blinded by wow and can't budge as they are infact ass deep in the game. You are all addicts, don't say your not. If you can level a paladin to 60 in 4 days, that means you had no life for 4 days and your def. an addict.

  • All tasks, which are enjoyable can also be seen as addictive. People read books. Most of them are kinda a waste, they don't give any knowledge just satisfaction. Addictive? Every human being tried sex at least once. I bet they also liked it and most of them've done it again. Addictive? People just have too much free time and spending it usefully, while being best decision, isn't always possible, since we need to rest have fun, just enjoy life. It's true some might still be addicted, but not ALL.

  • That's the way to live ;)

  • wow addiction is very similiar to gambling addiction. wining a gamble = adopamine rush.

epic drop = adopmine rush. and people please stop saying it's 'Fun', grinding is not fun.

you wont get any better from lying to yourself ;)

  • Tbh, I got my paladin to 60 in 4 days playing time. So it doesnt really take that long.. About 1 and a half week real time I think. You just need to know how to lvl and it wont take up too much time.

  • WoW isnt an addiction. Parents for my generation (around 18) didn't have video games anything like this, if they had them at all. They never knew what they could do and thought they were harmless. So the parents usually failed to teach self control. It's exactly the same as drinking or smoking, except smoking is a physical pain while WoW is just a psycological stimulator. Which one sounds more obvious to stop before its too late?

  • i only play wow because im bored and pretty rich so idc

  • im sad to say i downloaded the 10 day trial i liked it and i wanted the real game and i looked at it a different way how gay would it be if i stayed home to play a game all day and my decision is i wont ever pick up this game its addicting

  • its not addicting u idiot its fun better then most thing u can do plues my point ppl like leroy there make it fun

  • your hole comment does not make sense!!! and it was addicting in my own point of view. and if you really find it fun playing as a elf or a hobbit or what ever!!!! then you need to get out more ..no bs here

  • its only addicting to weak minded idiots honestly if you were smart enough you'd only play for fun when you have nothing to do so there for only retards get adicted to this game

  • define weak minded and an addiction can be anything is does not matter how you manage time or control it. like weed i no people that smoke it constantly and they say its their fun butt if i asked them if they where addicted to it they would just say its for fun! its not really that they are weak minded its just because they don't no they are addicted you play don't you

  • i do and i have a lvl 50 that toke me 3 years to get i go from weeks to months without playing coz its not addicting it gets boreing to play after so long and only a weak minded person would kill the selfs over a game anyway i have no respect for ppl who kill them self they are cowards

  • ok sorry il just go read a book then spend my time reading other ppls stories what i rly dont give a fuck about instead of making my own story dumbass

  • L2Self-control, faggots.

  • TY someone else that knows how WoW works...

    Noobs

  • well, try to think that you use the bathroom to shit and piss almost every day, in a lifetime perhaps 2 or 3 years you shit and piss, so i dont know what are you trying to prove, anyone spends his life however he wants.

  • blizzard might be part of the illuminati, they want us to connect online rather than connect to the universal spirit. not too mention if there are subliminal messages in the game...

  • WoW addiction is symptomatic of a broader societal problem-a lifestyle obsession with fortune, popularity, fame and success. When we see others in the media who are 'successful', 'rich', 'beautiful' and 'powerful', we envy them and want what they have. But as time passes, we realise that it probably won't happen to us. WoW provides an escape to a world where we CAN be rich, we CAN be powerful and be envied by others. We need to focus on the societal obsessions, THEN WoW addiction will fix itself

  • i have no desire to be rich or powerful, yet i play, i socialise...

who gives a shit as long as you're having fun..

  • really? so why do you spend hours doing 40 man raids with the slim hope that you might get a purple? Because afterwards, you can wear that purple with pride and show if off to 'noobs' who don't have it. Given the rarity and revered nature of the item, it is natural that you feel important and special having your character possess it. yes yes - you feel more 'powerful' than you realise playing WOW

  • well thats funny cos i dont raid,

i just sit around and have fun

  • i think the /played part of the video is sort of exaggerated I went 1-70 in about 7 days play time. Thats 1-70.. not 60. Idk if im addicted or not, I usually play a shit load on weekdays and at least one of the fridays or saturdays. But I also do all my homework, and have a job, and play poker work out hit on girls etc.. o well I am thinking about picking up the expansion.. my buddy has talked me into it lol havent played in about 2 months.

  • What is up with the "oh I wasted so much time on this and oh my god I wasted so much time on that. Other people "waste" their time on similar bullshit aswell. TV, sleeping more than 7-8 hours a day, chating and doing other random stuff on the computer, video games and all those people spending over 10 min in the bathroom in the mornings. If you would have a /played timer of everything in your life you would be amazed over how many "oh I could have learned another language" moments you'd had...

  • I agree. We waste alot of time on meaningless stuff. But why should everything we do have a meaning when we dont even know the meaning of life it self. Some things in life we have to (eat, sleep..), other things we can choose. A person who choose to play video games 12 hours a day is no more different than a person who sits around watching TV and surfing on the internet all day long.

  • Becoming addicted is a sign of a weak mind and you can make a living off of playing wow and people saying why dont you go out with rl friends tonight Thats very hard for some people to doso they socialize over the internet

  • /Played over 400 days through a 4 year period..... I quit the game after 4 yeasrs..

  • ure good!! can u imagine how much did u waste?? 400days!! how much would u earn if u would be working??:D

  • I get payed playing WoW..

  • THATS OUTLAND NOOB!!! >:O

  • dunno why ppl complaine its a gr8 game and for my part i mianly play 3-4 houres a day and in the wekends if i am not partying y i play for a hole day if i feel like it but wood be watching tv be better?

i have a lot of play m8s in the game that i also talk with irl and he have been hanging out irl eventho we live in difrent contry so y u can make long tearm frends here

  • when someone plays a "video game" 24/7, its considered an "addction"...

BUT, when they play, lets say, an instrument 24/7, its considered "passion"...

    deep meaning aint it? =]

NO! the world is full of bs.

  • By playing an instrument youre actually doing something productive and even getting good at something. Playing a game 24/7 is wasting your life. You do nothing playing it. All you do is make some cyber beings move and grow and make some new friends that will forget you in a week if you dont play. I used to be a MMO addict. I just aint anymore..

  • You are correct DonZaloog88, they both take up serious amounts of time, but you can achieve so much more as an amazing instrument player than playing a game.

  • very true.

i play the cello more than WoW, but they've never called me an "addict".

but when i go on WoW, for the same amount of time that i play my cello for, then its considered addiction.. whats up with that lol..

  • At the end of the day, if you can pay your bills, maintain a household, and have relationships (all kinds) then I don't see the harm.

There are people out there who play too much and hurt their lives in the process, but then you have people like you who can say, "Hey man, why don't you go out with rl friends tonight?", to the guy who hasn't logged in 36 hours.

I think the idea is that it can be addictive. There are people out there who you have to watch out for. How is the expansion btw?

  • i havent bought it.

    im thinkin of quiting WoW.

its nothing more than a bunch of good graphix with excelent gameplay and an even better community. but everything has its limits. i cant keep on paying 30$ to watch my life flash before my eyes all because of a pc game.. if WoW was free, maybe id think about it. but until then, i think ima take a brake. =]

  • Music is art, and it is something you can enjoy for the rest of your life.

Video games don't last forever; a game like WoW only lasts as long as the company supports the game they've created, which, after this expansion that releases Nov.13, I estimate to be another couple years before it starts to die.

  • music IS art. =]

and yea lol, WoW will die eventaully as the years go by.

  • WoW will destroy itself.. onc after xy expansions it will become boring and easy...

  • not true. actually blizzard has released the third expansion "Wrath of the lich king " and says he wants to release more expansions. For them is just a great bussines...why would they wanna "let it die" ?

  • This was aload of crap. WoW takes alot of time, but the time it takes is peoples spare time. Spare time is for relaxing and having fun.. not "learnign a new language" or whatever else people may class as constructive.

  • although you cant "beat" the game persay you can get to the point where playing is just pointless when you are full t3 or t6 nowadays and have all the naxx or present day sunwell gear

  • what name of this song ?

  • Alrighty, speaking from personal experience only, as its all i have, i bought the game two weeks ago, have 5 characters levels 30, 26, 8, 8, and 6. I have been playing for two weeks straight, everyday, neglecting the fact that i should potentially be bringing in some form of income. it is a form of escaping from facing my inner shadows speaking psychologically.online we sympathize with the players because we are all going through similar emotions, we want the best, but can 1010100010101 be best?

  • kinda funny how it says its "impossible" to get the gear! and technically you can beat the game in a sense by playing through the entire story line but even if you do that you can still do mass shit to improve your character.

  • ooo VERY slow levelers, for me it took:

    1 - 70 11 days 3 hours 24 mins :)

  • 8 days 5 hours and 29 minutes :D

  • nice vid... this actually wants me to play again.... lol but w/e answer is no! lol..

  • Johnny I can make more then you . I make over 300 gold/hour using guide from wowfarmers(.)info
