personaly i think that playin the intro v&c and then just jammin the rest of the tune is pleasin 2 the ears but seems 2 lack musical texture so based on that4 phase 2 this year structure;5/10 but 4 the inside music and prescion phase 2 shout get @ least 10/10

I know boogise well and i also know amrit to compare them is disrespectful, i have played with phase 2 and they are not as good a band as renegades but yhe music is 100 times better plesing on the ear easy to understand the reason why renegades cant win is because they orver play they pride thie selfs on playing the most notes it dont work or sound good. ps i know rentnt the man is a asrehole and the biggest piper in london-tnt

Renegades definitely should have placed higher. Love what I'm hearing from Amrit. There is a lot of high quality music in this piece. Renegades will be back in winners row soon.

yes love, the parts are called the verse and chorus. once you playing the same composition you have to play those parts... lol. And doh worry, one day silverstars will learn to play a tune without bussin in it.

Sharp is waaay past his best. Birthday party, Pan rising and tunes of that nature are long beyond Boogsie. His music is recycled these days i should know cuz i've played under sharp before. They gave all stars 2007 HOWEVER they gave phase 2 2006 and we all know it All Stats were robbed that year. Its called Pan Trinbago aka politics. Enjoy the title for now till next year....

once again you fail to mention the times other bands got a raw deal from phase 2 winning. In 87 you had A-Minor, 88 Sailing, 2006 Soca Warriors. I'm agreeing that phase have been robbed in the past but lets not pretend that boogsie should have won EVERY single panorama in the last 25 years. Once again, you CANNOT compare Pan Rising, I-Music and tunes like Birthday Party with his music now, he'll tell you that. He's passed his best my friend, he can still share licks but not like before.
I just thought you'd know that parts of his tune for phase 2 this year were taken from tunes that he's done for mangrove in england, tobago and definatly a band he arranged for in miami in 2001. How is this progression? Taking music you have already given to other bands and using it for phase 2 in 2008? This seems more like he's recycling. I'd like to see Boogsie win a panorama with phase 2 playing music OTHER THAN his own compositions...Wishfull thinking I guess....

But this won't matter to you because in your mind BOOGSIE RULES! I dread to think of what will happen if there is no more boogsie. Panorama might have to stop! if he's sounding like his father there will be pressure for everybody in the next few years, even Pelham Goddard said this. Lets not forget NO MAN has dominated an era like JIT. Not Bradley, Smooth and def not Boogsie. We win 9 Panoramas and a 3-peat in a 16 year span. All in an era of some of the best pan songs, and the best pan arrangements ever... The apple doesnt fall far from the tree, the jnr band is winning. The future is bright... which is more thn i can say for allyuh.

I played a 6 bass with renegades this year and I'd have to say that its one of the best tunes I've played for the band for renegades. Considering we performed WITHOUT our core stage side members who were away on tour in europe our performance was great especially from 5:04 till the end of the tune. TRINIDESI and ADLI16 have no fear, the whole of trinidad is aware of AMRIT SAMAROO and his potential. The boy is only 25yrs old and nobody his age is laying down the kind of music he's doing!

I agree...Amrit is d prodigy...but he shoulda do "Heat" for renegades...when ah first hear dat chune ah say dat is ah renegades thru & thru...allyuh woulda fare better I think (and plus allyuh had 1st position which is difficult to play at)...HOWEVER, I love this arrangement...
I totally agree with u adlib16. But you know is rel hell to come out good when u play in d 1st position. Miss seeing Snail and Alleyne up front, however, it was nice to see a new band with young faces...Renegades cyah dead jess so. if Jit health gets better, he should take advantage of the back in times rule and arrange the Kitchener songs he didn't do previously in a panorama, Renegades could make a comeback.
