24 But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Master
Yahshua, fully to testify the good news of the grace of YAHWEH.
25 And now, I know that ye will see my face no more, all of you among whom I have traveled and preached the kingdom of YAHWEH.
If the Gospel were a coin, one side would be the death, burial, and res. the other would be the Kingdom. On the one side we have the restoration of our relationship thru the blood of Jesus which of course is primary if we are to even see the Kingdom. The other side is the Hope of the Kingdom, the beautiful promises of God which fill our hearts with joy and thankfulness and bring glory to our God and His Christ. Both are The Gospel, but must be kept in their proper order, relationship then reward.
That's exactly the problem with some christians today - they fail to see how some church based old century teachings are based on pagan greek mythology. True Christianity has Jewish origins, not greek. Whoever picks up a book on Plato will see this clearly. As for the JW's, while the individual members are well-meaning, they think they understand the gospel, but unfortunately do not. Same can be said of the mormons.
@solarisgalrocks You're right. The deception throughout these religious systems is overwhelming. That's why,if at all possible, one should have a small home church like the 1st century Christians free from Hellenistic inspired teachings(those biblical/Platonic hybrid doctrines that signal anything but "reformed" unless they're just "reformed" from true biblical Abrahamic faith and Hebrew monotheism) and manmade Pharisaic ordinances.
